In the shocking new thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Run Away, a man whose past is shrouded in mystery must find a missing teenage girl before her disappearance brings about disastrous consequences for her community . . . and the world beyond. Thirty years ago, Wilde was found as a boy living feral in the woods, with no memory of his past. Now an adult, he still doesn’t … his past. Now an adult, he still doesn’t know where he comes from, and another child has gone missing.
No one seems to take Naomi Pine’s disappearance seriously, not even her father-with one exception. Hester Crimstein, a television criminal attorney, knows through her grandson that Naomi was relentlessly bullied at school. Hester asks Wilde-with whom she shares a tragic connection-to use his unique skills to help find Naomi.
Wilde can’t ignore an outcast in trouble, but in order to find Naomi he must venture back into the community where he has never fit in, a place where the powerful are protected even when they harbor secrets that could destroy the lives of millions . . . secrets that Wilde must uncover before it’s too late.

This is the newest book from my favorite thriller author. My spine started tingling from looking at the cover.

: From the start I got that classic Coben prologue which I loved. This book follows Wilde who was found as a boy living feral in the woods 30 years ago. Now as an adult he doesn’t know where he comes from when another child goes missing. The pacing of this book was consistent with every single book Harlan has ever written. His signature writing style had me on edge from start to finish as I was trying to piece everything together.
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves reading thrillers. Harlan Coben is a very prominent writer in the thriller world, who delivered another fantastic book that I read in less then 24 hours. I can’t wait to read the next book he writes. Easily one of my auto-buy authors!!!!!
Very typical Coben here. Good characters overall and of course he’s phenomenal hook. The hook and twist is real and it twists hard at the end. Good read worth you’re time!
The book had a good plot it was just not an overly exciting read. I have read may of his books that are amazing. This one was just good. Good plot, some twists.
I had not read Coben for a few years. This book is up-to-date with what is happening now. The characters were easy to relate to and reminded me of a few people in the news each day. The ending also offered some hope in a now hopeless world.
I love Harlan Coben but for me this one did not quite reach the mark. Good, but not great.
I have read many of Coben’s books. This wasn’t his best but it was very good. It was slow in parts and I pretty much had the ending figured out which is unusual for me with his books.
Anything Coben writes is great
An excellent read, I could not put it down.
Harlan Coben is a master storyteller. This book is certainly a good read.
Quick easy read and kept me guessing about the end until I finished the book.
Harlen Coban came through again! A great author.
I held off reading The Boy From The Woods for quite a while because I knew Harlan Coben would cost me sleep, steal crucial hours out of my workday and take me on a roller coaster ride that picked up speed with every turn of the page. As with every one of his books, he didn’t disappoint. What a great read. The return of a beloved character and the introduction of new ones created a blend of suspense, interwoven stories and had me biting my nails, snickering and anxious to figure out the truth. I highly recommend all of Harlan Coben’s catalogue. He challenges me to be a better writer, and I love him for it.
This was not one of Coben’s best works in my opinion. Drug on a lot without any real action or excitement to keep you interested. His books are usually a lot better than this one was.
I have read every one of his books. This was one of his best. Love the way the author writes. Not too much filler and adds a sense of humor.
Really 3.5 stars
I always enjoy Harlan Cohen’s books, and I love how he mentions characters from his other books in his novels.
In this one, Wilde, who had been rescued from the woods where he has been living alone as a child, is asked by the mother (Hester Crimstein) of his dead best friend to help her solve the disappearance of a young girl, Naomi Pine. Hester’s grandson, Matthew, felt guilty about the way he treated Naomi, and wanted Hester to look into her disappearance.
Coinciding with this storyline is a political candidate’s campaign, and the possibility that he is evil, so his competition wants to take him down by digging into his past.
The story is well written, but I thought the ending was a bit too pat and corny.

Fun read.
I read this the day it was released, preordered it from Amazon. It was a page turner, once again, I had the ending figured out and it ended completely different.
New character. I like him! Always love Harlan Coben and he hasn’t disappointed me yet.
Not as good as his other books
Great book!!
