“The Boulder Wolves Trilogy” compiles into a single volume the first three instalments in the “The Boulder Wolves Series”, by Olivia Wildenstein, a complete trilogy that centers on the character of Ness and her epic journey back into the Boulder Pack after a six years exile.
Olivia Wildenstein’s story is interesting, easy-to-read, with great charters and a solid plot that explore the difficult relationship between males and females in the pack and due to the target audience YA & NA, abstains from the oversexualized narrative often used in the werewolf genre… a refreshing and welcomed detail. While the book depicts a classic romantic triangle, it is more to the story that mere paranormal romance, making the pack dynamics take an important part in the plot. The triangle trope in the story reveals not only the personal feelings of all three individuals tangled in it, but also the difficulties of the pack dynamic and workings, because when it comes to werewolves no one is really just on his own, and every decision has an impact for the whole pack.
“The Boulder Wolves Trilogy” includes:
“A Pack of Blood and Lies”
Six years after she left the Boulder Pack, Ness (FMC) comes back to the all-male pack in Colorado, to the people who shunned and drove her and her mother away just for being female. While she never forgot them, the pack doesn’t recognize her, not even the pack’s Alpha Heath Kolane, not his son Liam, the infuriating heir apparent that makes Ness absolutely mad, without even trying, and Ness’s heart skip every other beat. As Heath dies, Liam is supposed to become the new alpha, until Ness challenges his for the position. But a fight to life and death, Ness doesn’t have many options.
“A Pack of Vows of Tears”
Ness (FMC) was exiled from the Boulder Pack for over six years, just to come back in time for late Alpha Heath Kolane demise and challenge his son Liam for the Alpha position in a fight (supposedly) to death. Ness managed the impossible, she has earned her own spot at the pack at Liam’s side, but the real struggle begins right now, because having a spot is not the same as finding a place between the all-male pack. Liam might be dating Liam, but her inner wolf follow her own will when bonds with August, on whom Ness has a crush since childhood. As the romantic menage à trois mix with the social pack dynamics, thing get complicated real fast.
“A Pack of Love and Hate”
The story follows seamlessly the events of the previous book, as Ness is trying to help Liam to deal with the threat posed by Cassandra, the leader of the Creek Pack. While working together to save the pack Liam and Ness relationship turn and Ness finds herself falling for the once enemy, regardless of her mated bond to August. Liam himself cannot seem to be able to forget his own feelings for Ness, and thus everything gets a lot more complicated before a resolution is on the horizon.
Once upon a lifetime, a story comes along that emboldens a reader, takes root in their heart, catapults them into a world of fantasy, desire, love and passion, and sticks with that reader for life. This is that story for me.
I have always been a fan of shifters and of stories that are character driven. When I open a book, I want to connect to the characters; I want to be a part of their lives, their adventures, their romance and life choices. I want to become part of the story. This series did that and more. This is my forever story, the one that I will come back to time and time again because it gives me everything I want and need every time I read it.
I have review each of these books, in more detail, so if you want more you can read those reviews. Here but I think that important thing to know is that this author and this story makes me a better reader. I have gotten so used to books that are formulaic. I have become accustomed to guessing a story line, picking out the twists and turns, choosing “the one” the main character ends up with, that I have come to realize that while I enjoy a great many books, I have rarely felt pure joy from reading them. This book is pure joy for me. I don’t know if that make sense, but the author took her characters in directions I never would have thought, she chose a HEA that I didn’t think I’d want. None the less, I have never been so amazed, so in love with a story’s outcome because the author followed the characters want and needs rather than the readers. She made me believe in the HEA, made me happy with the choices the characters made, made me believe in amazing stories again.
I have nothing but PURE LOVE for this series and high recommend it to all readers. Wither you get out of it what I did, or just find this an entertaining story, I think you should give it a try.
If you like shifter stories, this trilogy is one I can recommend, I enjoyed the story, the characters, and the story plotline on each book. The Boulder Wolves is a shifter romance full of action, drama, suspense, and secrets. I really liked the author’s writing style, how the pacing went, it had me hooked from the start and definitely one I will be recommending, looking forward to more books by the author.
An Enjoyable, Violent But Romantic Shifter Trilogy!
Full Of Family, Bonds & Friendships!
The Boulder Wolves Trilogy (The Boulder Wolves #1-3)
I found myself drawn in to this world & swept along with the life of Ness & everyone back in Boulder, where she’d originally grown up. Each book has its own storyline & there’s an over arching one that flows throughout the box set! Its tense, brutal & misogynist but also romantic, hopeful & freeing! Some of the betrayals are so deep they’re unbelievable! Wonderful characters, I really enjoyed the entire series.

This book will keep you guessing at every turn. Great book for anyone who loves a good werewolf romance with some love triangles.
I loved this trilogy. I do enjoy adventures and shifters romance so these books were perfect.
I liked the story of Ness, a female shifter that is back to her hometown and find old friends and new enemies while finding out what happened to his dad murdered and fighting for being Alpha of her pack. I was shocked when reading the premise of the second book since there’s a twist after the first book. I wasn’t very happy because I wanted that two characters ended up together but I ended up reading all the books and loved them.
Ness, August, Liam, Lucas, Sarah, Matt, Evelyn,,… all the characters are become dearing to me. The mix of adventures, friendship, fights, dangers and love is wonderful in these books. The whole story is interesting and entertaining to read.
I’m really looking forward to read more about my favorites charactres, Liam and especially Lucas and Sarah. All of them deserve their happy ending <3
