Diana is a botanist who’s been burned before by a man interested in her work. Asa is interested in investing in her project.. and in her. But her past makes her leery of getting involved with someone who might take advantage. She’s very independent now but that doesn’t deter Asa from giving it the old college try. Their story is a good stand alone but this series is a must read as the side characters will draw you in a powerful way. There are times when you’ll wonder if they’ll ever make it but there’s a great happily ever after.
Being the second book in this series, you get to see a lot of the same people with a few new ones added to the mix. This group of people is so fun that I wish I could be around them in real life. They have troubles that anyone could have and yet try to find a bright side of things and somehow, they find their perfect halves while doing it. I really enjoyed this book and will be keeping an eye out for when the next will be released.
Diana is a botanist, doing experiments using plants for medical research. Diana has trust issues, especially where men are concerned. Asa is a billionaire venture capitalist, who buys businesses and opportunity. He’s confident in his work and women. But he met his match with Diana. No relationships. Diana has a lack of confidence and low self esteem. She slowly comes out of her shell, learns to trust and love again. Asa learns, not everything important in life is about money.
Lee Daniels narration was good. I enjoyed listening to the story. I was gifted this book and offered my honest review.

Tributary (A Billionaire Romance)
Oak Creek, Book 2
By: Lainey Davis
Narrated by: Lee Daniels
Lainey Davis writes another wonderful novel in her “Oak Creek” series and I loved it as much as the first. It is Diana Crawford’s story, Diana, a botanist with a brilliant mind, she is independent to a fault, refusing to ask anyone for help and because she was burnt in the past she does not trust easy. She owns her own business, Houseplant Haven, but it is what she has set up in the back of the store that keeps her going and what she really wants to do, making new and beneficial creations with plant life. Asa Wexler is a venture capitalist, he is backing Hunter’s studies and is in town checking on progress. He is staying at the Crawford house and is stuck in Oak Creek because of a snow storm. He takes a walk into town and is taken with what he sees and then the unexpected happens. He was intrigued with Diana the 1st moment he laid eyes on her, he was used to woman throwing themselves at him because they wanted his money, but not Diana, the only thing she threw at him was snow, LOL! I loved these two together and for each other. The chemistry between them is smoking hot and while she pushes him away he sticks it out. This story is fast paced and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, some angst, great humor and laughs, heartfelt moments and some hot romance. It was great to see some of the characters from the first book again, got to love the Crawfords and their friends. Lainey Davis, thank you for this wonderful story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to be back on Oak Creek again!!
I listened to the Audible edition, Lee Daniels did a great job narrating and bringing the characters and their story to life. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she captures and projects the characters emotions in to her performance. Thank you for this great listen
Asa is a billionaire who works hard, plays hard and that’s about it. While stuck in a small town during a snowstorm, Asa meets Diana – as she flings a shovel full of snow in his face. Asa is attracted to Diana but Diana doesn’t trust men. So Asa must work to get Diana to trust him. Fast paced, short story.

A nice steamy small town romance
Diana, a grumpy botanist, encounters Asa, a venture capitalist, when she hits him with a shovel full of snow. As the story progresses small town life grows on the city boy, details about Diana’s past are hard earned, and some grand gestures are better received than others. Lainey Davis has woven a tale worthy of reading. There are snarky interactions, shenanigans, drama, and surprises allowing the reader to ride along with the characters on their journey. I am looking forward to reading more from this nice steamy small town romance series.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
After having been stung by a thieving ex-boyfriend, Diana has become very secretive in her life work and doesn’t trust anyone. Venture capitalist Asa literally walks into and things heat up from there. She doesn’t want his help, but the chemistry between them is real. This story is short and simply a very good romance.

Asa was hooked on Diana the moment she threw a shovel of snow in his face. Diana does not trust men especially since the last one stole her work and took all the credit and accolades. Now she is venturing out in a new direction and Asa wants to help. Can he break down those walls of distrust and help her love and believe again?

Diana is another slightly eccentric brainiac from the same family as Hunter, her brother, who was in the first book in this series. She’s a botanist with many ideas from helping those with epilepsy to brewing beer in a dry town. However as her ex burnt & stole from her she is sceptical about Asa, a venture capitalist, who helped her brother get his grant.
Another interesting tale without the fluff others have. One brainy lady & a hot billionaire have quite a few things to sort through.
Mention is also made of previous characters who play a small part in this story.
Overall if you enjoyed the first book this won’t disappoint.

An exciting non-stop bundle of intrigue filled fun, excitement, a myriad of emotions and sexy chemistry. Highly enjoyable with an edgy feel that kept me needing to turn the pages. Wonderfully written and would gladly recommend as a must read.
