Dear Santa,Please bring me a new boss for Christmas. Mine is the worst. The worst, hidden in a six foot tall package of male perfection. It’d be easier if he looked like an old Scrooge, wouldn’t it? Nick Saint-Croix doesn’t look like an old scrooge. He’s hot as-Um, never mind. Just bring me a new boss. Please. Sincerely,Holly WinterWarning: Reindeer Falls is more naughty than nice. They’re …

This was a sweet little holiday romance! Nick and Holly are a cute couple. I can’t resist a good holiday romance!
Lots of Christmassy cheer
I enjoyed this quick light hearted Christmas themed book !
Holly is a Christmas addict who loves everything Christmas she’s also slightly annoyingly in denial about how much she likes her sweet gorgeous grinch of a boss !
As the book unfolds though we learn he’s not so grinch like he just likes her a lot !
It’s written well , is short and sweet but builds the world of reindeer falls and the community well and makes me want to read the rest of the series ! There’s some hot scenes between the mc’s and their chemistry is sizzling !
If you want a Christmassy romance this one is great !
This was a very cute Christmas novella about a Grinch type boss, Nick who spends his days scowling and growling orders to employees especially towards Holly. Holly is the epitome of a Christmas loving, decorating before Thanksgiving, crazy jovial holiday type. She comes by her love of Christmas honestly, her parents named her and her sisters Christmas themed names so, when she encounters her boss Nick and his grumpiness everyday she tries to ignore her attraction towards him and remind herself his the Grinch. When they end up on a business trip to Germany and that is when the magic happens even if Holly fights it tooth and nail. I loved this as a quick Christmas themed read and can’t wait for the next ones.
If you are looking for a sexy Christmas read this is it!! It short enough you can read it while waiting for Santa!! Loved this!
This had me at the Countdown to Dickmas advent calendar. No, that’s a lie – I loved this from the very first page and that didn’t change at all as it when on. Quite possibly the perfect Christmas-themed novella for the modern age, this is filled with plenty of festive humor, so much sweetness, a little spice, and one Grinch who is reformed just in time for Christmas. It’s light, quick, really funny, and will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit.
The story follows Holly, a woman who works for a toy company in a town that embraces the Christmas spirit. She loves everything about the holiday, and is upset that her new boss doesn’t seem like the right fit for a company that caters to children. He’s demanding, intense, and she hates that she’s so attracted to him. When Nick decides that they’re going to take a business trip together just before the holidays, Holly is horrified by the prospect of spending more time with Nick outside of the office. It changes the dynamic of their relationship immediately and Holly can’t help but wonder if Nick really is a Grinch after all.
I absolutely loved this novella. The writing is fantastic – it reads quickly and flows perfectly. I was absorbed from the first page, and humor plays as much a role in the story as the romance does. It’s sweet with plenty of spice, and is just a great, feel-good read. We meet Holly’s sisters in this one, and now I’m definitely going to have to check out the other two books in the series – I have no doubt they’ll be just as good.
This was a simply perfect story for Christmas. Just what I want when I’m reading Christmas books. Not too much angst or drama… just an easy to read, fun-filled romantic story that hits all the right spots.
‘The Boss who Stole Christmas’ was right up my street and had everything you’d expect from Jana Aston’s witty sense of humour, interesting characters and an entertaining story line. The characters were hilarious.
Holly Winters is just brilliant – from her festive name, living in Reindeer Falls, to her love of all things Christmassy, she’s the sort of person that’s just a joy to be around. She’s sassy, quirky and a whole lot of fun.
Nick Saint-Croix is brilliant, but according to Holly, he’s your typical Christmas Grinch. But is he…. or is there more to learn about the Boss?!
Loved it, devoured it & can’t wait for more!
I thoroughly enjoyed this quick story about Holly and Nick. It was fun, sweet, and a bit sassy. I liked the office interactions between the two of them…. Holly’s mumblings about what a jerk Nick is, how straight-laced Nick was. I also laughed out loud in several places. (I will never look at advent calendars the same way!) I can’t wait to find out more about Holly’s two sisters.
I absolutely adored this story. It was sweet and I loved the characters. It also made me laugh out loud as always with Jana. I had so much fun with this story and it definitely put me in the holiday spirit.
What a sweet read! Well as sweet as an enemies-to-lovers story can be. 😉 The Boss Who Stole Christmas had me in fits of giggles quite often!
When we first meet Holly and Nick, they’re at the office. Being privy to Holly’s thoughts at that first office meeting was fun! It was kinda obvious more was going on than she was admitting to herself but her nicknames for Nick and her descriptions of him had me giggling. And I could see where Holly might think Nick was being hard on her but I also thought she’d misconstrued his intentions. And then he pulls the rug out from under her with a business trip. At Christmas time.
Christmas is a pretty big deal in Holly’s family. I mean, her name is Holly, her sisters’ names are Ginger and Noel, and she lives in Reindeer Falls. There was no avoiding it. But Holly’s love of all things Christmas and her craftiness made me smile. We’ve all met someone like her, right? I found her love for the holiday endearing. So the business trip – to Nuremberg, Germany? Yeah. The business trip was the perfect setup. Christmastime in Nuremberg, the Christmas market…so romantic! It all aided Nick in showing a side of himself to Holly she’d been avoiding. And I liked how Holly discovered her true feelings for Nick.
Holly’s interactions with his sisters was entertaining. I enjoyed the dynamics between them. It conveyed their close-knit bond as well as giving me more giggles. And you know, sisters can be helpful when you need a kick in the rear or a knock on the head to make you realize something you don’t want to admit to yourself.
The ending was adorable. Sweet without being saccharine. Overall, The Boss Who Stole Christmas was just what I needed. JAston never disappoints!
After reading this book I will never look at the Advent calendar again in the same way as I have done so far.
The Boss Who Stole Christmas is a hilarious book full of comical situations and hot scenes mixed in the magic of Christmas. It’s the perfect novella for this time of year. I loved it!
Jana brings her wit and perfect comedic timing to this little holiday treat and it was everything you’d want in a snack sized Christmas book! Like Hallmark but with a Jana spin. I can’t wait for the rest of the books!!
The first of 3 Christmas novellas from Jana based around the Winter sisters and set in Reindeer Falls. Funny, sexy, romantic, short and sweet, the perfect read to get you in the Christmas mood!
Christmas is Holly’s favourite holiday, she loves her small town, loves her job working for Reindeer Falls toy company, except her boss is a grumpy Grinch. makes her work hard and pushes all her wrong buttons, even though he is gorgeously handsome and sexy, with piercing green eyes, and she can’t help day dreaming about being in a sexy clinch with Nick Saint-Croix.
So when he tells her to accompany him on a work trip to Germany she is horrified and mortified, no way she can go, but go she does, and sees Nick in a different light than that of work, and their relationship turns into something more than employer/employee for that week in Germany….
Great chemistry between these two, with plenty of back story even though it is a short read, with lots of Christmas sparkle and magic, fun and laughter with romantic swoon-worthy moments. I can’t wait to read about the other two sisters!
4 Advent Calendar Stars!!!
What a holiday gem this novella is!! I loved Holly Winters and Nick Saint-Croix so much. They’re both from Reindeer Falls, Michigan, a town that is basically Christmas all year round! Holly is a woman that has everything she could want in life except for love. And let me tell you, Nick is definitely NOT on her radar mostly because he’s her new boss AND he’s pretty much a Grinch…or so she thinks!
For his part, Nick Saint-Croix kept his feelings close to the vest because he had to. But don’t let that fool you! Everything changes when he and Holly take a trip to Germany together!
This book is funny, sassy, flirty and sexy! It moves at a fast pace but doesn’t lack in story or romance. I loved how Holly pushed Nick’s buttons in so many ways that I found myself laughing out loud! Overall, this book is a great read and a perfect start to the holiday season. I can’t wait to see how The Great Gingerbread Bake-Off goes!
5 Sexy Grinch Stars
I always look forward to a Jana Aston story and this Christmas series is awesome! In the first of the series there is a sexy grinch boss and his employee who work for a toy company. When they go on a business trip together, they discover that each of them have been hiding secrets. This story is sweet, spicy, sexy, and funny wrapped up in a big red bow and an advent calendar that holds an emergency item that saves the day! 1 click now to begin this classic series!
Fucking Jana Aston and her humor.
I’m not usually a fan of holiday stories, but when it was pitched as a Hallmark movie meets sexy times, I was in.
Because, really, who doesn’t love a Hallmark Christmas movie? The only disappointing thing about those movies is the insta-love and the extreme lack of sex. But I can handle it because I want a lot of sweet with my sappy holiday movies.
But I digress.
The Boss Who Stole Christmas is fun, sexy, swoony, and just the perfect blend of over the top holiday nonsense to make you feel like you fell into a snow globe. Or a Hallmark movie. Whichever.
And Nick Saint-Croix is the sexy boss you want to get dirty with. I mean, he takes her on a trip of a lifetime! And that first kiss? SA-WOOOOOON.
I love a good holiday story, and Jana Aston has awww us with one full of her trademark humor, and has created the ultimate Christmas world in Reindeer Falls! Holly is adorable and hilarious, while Nick has a serious (and seriously naughty side). I enjoyed this story so much and cannot wait for the next installment!!!
While I enjoy Christmas romances, I was seriously needing one that was lighthearted, fun and completely drama free. As soon as this one popped up, I knew it was the one. How right I was!
With a name like Holly Winter, how could this heroine be anything other than all about Christmas, all year around. She loves working for the Reindeer Toy Company but isn’t fond of her Grinchy boss, at all. Except for the way she often has inappropriate fantasies about him. When she’s forced into a work trip with him, she begins to see him for more than the Scrooge he appears and things definitely heat up.
’He’s grumpy.
He’s demanding.
He’s a perfectionist.
He’s broody and tall and more attractive than any man has a right to be.
He’s. My. Boss.’
I absolutely loved Holly and all her fun, crazy thoughts, mostly Christmas related in some way. She’s totally original in the way she curses, breaks things down in her mind, and looks at life. There wasn’t a thing about her I didn’t like.
We don’t get Nick’s point of view, but the author gives us enough reaction from him that the reader knows pretty much how he’s feeling, even if Holly is left clueless. The fact that he was grumpy drew my attention first but what was inside of him made me fall in love with him. (I wanted to see more get posted on that bulletin board!)
While this is a fast read, because this couple already have a history working together, it felt fuller and complete. With some amazing visuals of Germany at Christmas, sisters who I can’t wait to read more about, and a few hot and steamy moments, this book was absolutely perfect for what I was looking for.
I LOVED this story! It was all the things I enjoy the most wrapped in a nice little gift. Sexy, taciturn boss with a secret heart of gold. Check! Cute, slightly neurotic employee who hates/likes him? Check! Also a humorous inner dialogue from said employee? Check!! A fun cast of additional charcters with stories to follow? Check check! Nothing negative to say about this novella, loved it from start to finish.
GAH!! I know I KNOW it’s a novella. But I still want more. Thank goodness 2 more books are planned. Nick is amazing. Holly is a hoot. I loved all the Christmas themed ‘swear words’. Jackal has to be my favorite. Then you have the hot as hell S.E.X. You have homemade Advent calendars. I love that Jana has characters that craft. Because I believe myself to be a #craftybitch too.
I can tell Ginger’s book will be fun. I mean there is BAKING involved.
The perfect way to kick off this holiday season is reading The Boss Who Stole Christmas. Jana Aston has nailed this perfectly.
How is Holly going to survive her grumpy boss this season? Lots and lots of chocolate. One for each day she has to see his beautiful scowl. Working for a toy company you’d think he would be at least a little happy. When these two have to travel together to get ideas for Holly’s dream store, things get tricky.
The banter between these two is perfect. It draws you right in. I loved this book and can’t wait for the next book.
