Dear Santa,Please bring me a new boss for Christmas. Mine is the worst. The worst, hidden in a six foot tall package of male perfection. It’d be easier if he looked like an old Scrooge, wouldn’t it? Nick Saint-Croix doesn’t look like an old scrooge. He’s hot as-Um, never mind. Just bring me a new boss. Please. Sincerely,Holly WinterWarning: Reindeer Falls is more naughty than nice. They’re …
Reindeer Falls is more naughty than nice. They’re over-the-top Christmas with merrily-ever-afters guaranteed. These stories are novella length for quick holiday binging. Enjoy!

I never read holiday romance but when Jana Aston published these, I just had to. She has reimagined the holiday romance for our cynical age. So sharp and funny! I’m such a fan.
With lots of teasing from Holly’s two meddling sisters, one impromptu business trip, Christmas innuendos, holiday witticisms, and Grinch-like references, The Boss Who Stole Christmas is a cheerful delight written by Jana Aston!
Nick Saint-Croix is the new owner of the Flying Reindeer Toy Company after inheriting the business from his uncle. Because of this, he becomes Holly Winter’s grouch of a boss… Whom she loathes and intimately at that just ask her about her fantasies.
Reindeer Falls, Michigan is better off without this grump.
Told only in Holly’s point of view, you will definitely fall in love with her spirit, quirks, and the hilarity of her inner monologues. Though we lack Nick’s pov it is quiet easy to decipher the feelings he harbors under all that grumpiness.
Not only a nod to Bavarian Christmas traditions, but a read that is bound to get you into the holiday spirit year ’round!
This book was hilarious and wonderfully Christmassy. If you’re looking for something funny, sexy and filled with holiday spirit, this series is a great way to spend your time. The books are quick reads- about two hours each.
A delightfully quirky romance. Working at Reindeer Falls Toy Factory is Holly’s ideal job. If only her boss Nick wasn’t such a handsome Grinch and a jerk.
Bossy Christmas
A funny Christmas rom-com. I loved this story. Great for a quick afternoon read. Holly and Nick are great and I love the little town of Reindeer Falls. Everything is Christmas themed and just perfect.
Holly has her dream job at the Reindeer Toy Company and is attracted to her sexy but Grinch like boss, Nick. A business trip to Germany changes their relationship and gets quite steamy.
I can’t to read the stories of Holly’s sisters.
I could so totally relate to this book because like Nick I to am a Grinch at Christmas. Although in my case it’s because it’s to dam hot here in Australia to enjoy it . But in Nick’s case he actually loves Christmas but seems to turn into a cranky Grinch around Holly . In secret he likes her loves her even but he has to keep up his image where she is concerned mostly because he is her boss but privately he gets a kick out watching her mumbel under her breath calling him all sorts of not so nice Christmas names . Holly loves Christmas she is named Holly Mistletoe Winter after all . Her sisters are also named after Christmas themes. ( Her parents have alot to answer for in this readers opinion . See like I said I’m the Grinch )
Nick tells Holly that they are going on a business trip right before Christmas she is not amused as you can imagine but has no choice but to go. Once there she sees a different side of Nick and realises he isn’t as bad as she thought. Nick makes his move on Holly and Passion ignites only for Holly to freak out after because Nick is her boss after all . With some hilarious advice from her sister Ginger Holly sets out to make things right with Nick and give him a present he won’t be able to unwrap quick enough. I really enjoyed this quick story and look forward to reading the next book in the series even if it is a Christmas one.
Funny Romantic Christmas story. Holly Mistletoe Winter, yes that is the name her Christmas obsessed mother gave her. She works at Reindeer Falls Toy company. It’s her dream job. But her very attractive boss Nick Saint-Croix is a bit of a Scrooge. She often refers to him as the Grinch under her breath. She feels he doesn’t like her as a person. Her as her to accompany him on a business trip to Germany which she tries unsuccessfully to get out of. When they arrive at the German Christmas town the magic of Christmas takes over and Nick is not the Scrooge she thought he was. Jana Aston is great at writing the lovable nerdy girl that makes me laugh out loud at the dialogue in her head.
Sweet and Spicy Christmas Novella
Hallmark meets Jana oh my let the sexy out. Advent calendars will never be looked at the same way again. It truly was a delightful morsel of Christmas yumminess. What can you expect with a town called Reindeer Falls and Holly Mistletoe Winter and Nick Saint-Croix and her sisters Ginger and Noel. Wow you can’t get more Christmas than that except yes he owns a toy company that Holly works for.
Five
Another clever book by Jana Aston. I loved the dialogue and the humor.
Holly works for a toy company and she hates her boss Nick. He took the company over from his uncle who retired. Nick is hot and steamy in his designer suits and Holly is trying to convince herself
she hates him. The book is short and sweet and of course full of holiday cheer. What else would you
expect with a heroine named Holly and alpha names Nick. A nice afternoon of no angst just sweet
fun and a few laughs. Jana Aston always comes through with her fun reads.
LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!! This is what I want my Christmas novellas to be. Hilarity, heat and ho ho hoing…
Nick and Holly’s story is a perfect Christmas tale for me. Slightly quirky/funny girl and her brooding/alpha boss. It’s a match made in a German Christmas Market!
Throw in a spot of inappropriate finger action on a church balcony, some taxi cab shenanigans and two sisters who are so funny I am legit dying for their books and Jana made me a very happy little elf! Can’t wait for book 2.
Jana Aston has written three Christmas novellas that focus on three sisters that live in a small town called Reindeer Falls. The three sisters are Noel, Holly & Ginger Winters. The sisters and their mother are all obsessed with Christmas. The first story, A Boss Who Stole Christmas, is Holly’s story. Holly works at a toy company and hates her new boss, Nick St. Croix. She thinks he’s a grinch. Turns out she’s wrong. He was really sweet and showed her how thoughtful he was when he took her on a business trip to Germany. This was a cute and funny quick read. I can’t wait to read the next two.
This is exactly what you need to read to get into the Christmas spirit! I can relate to Holly because I love everything there is about Christmas and to find your better half that feels the same way… that would be a Christmas Miracle! I love Ms Aston’s writing. This is an author that you wish would publish a book EVERY WEEK!
4.5 “in the Christmas spirit” stars
I have to admit, I’m not much on Christmas until after Thanksgiving has passed but Jana managed to totally get me in the spirit of the season with this read. Described as a “dirty” hallmark novella, this book had everything I love about this author’s writing wrapped in a cute holiday package; her trademark humor, sexy times, and adorable characters with plenty of chemistry. Set in Reindeer Falls, a cute Michigan town modeled after Nuremberg Germany (in the heart of Bavaria,) we have Holly Winters, who loves her job at the toy company in her hometown…what she doesn’t love is her super attractive but perpetually grumpy boss, Nick Saint Croix (I know, even the names are clever!) When forced to spend time with him on a work trip to Nuremberg, Holly discovers she doesn’t hate Nick, in fact she quite likes him and his yule log (Ha!) but he’s her boss and this has to be a bad idea, right?
While there is definitely some instalove happening (it’s dirty Hallmark, remember?) the cleverness of the town, the story, and the characters themselves completely makes up for it and I can’t wait to see what happens in Holly’s sisters stories. Super fun read, definitely puts you in the spirit!
This is the perfect quirky Christmas novella and I loved it!
Holly is the quirky, adorable, awkward, funny and loveable lead lady…she loves all things Christmassy and has a kick ass crush on her sexy boss Nick!
Nick is the sexy, hot, mysterious boss who, if we go by Holly’s internal thoughts, is a Grinch in a sexy disguise….
An adorable and funny quick read – 5 stars
Holly loves her life in Reindeer Falls and loves her job. There’s just one problem, her boss is the worst! Nick is mean-tempered and arrogant but, unfortunately for her, he’s also hot and irresistible. It would be easier for her if he looked like the Grinch, but how can she stop being attracted to him? And when Nick will show her a different side of him, one that she can’t ignore, what will that mean for their relationship? Witty and delightful, The Boss Who Stole Christmas is the perfect read for the holiday season! Reindeer Falls is a magical place where dreams come true!
Now that’s a short, sweet, sassy Christmas bauble of a story. I do love a instalove, sexy boss with a ‘come on girl..why can’t you see he’s got the hots for you’ heroine.
There’s something that Jana does so well and that’s bring fun back to books. If you need something light, quick and will make you smile you can’t go wrong, some quick loving with a hea.
Now let’s see How Ginger and Noel get on with their Xmas boys and sexy times so by the time Christmas rolls around we have a set of sisters With every pressie they might need!
Happy Holidays to me! Jana Aston is giving us three brand new Christmas novellas which are all standalones in the Reindeer Falls series and I am here for it!
The series kicks off with Holly Winter and Nick Saint-Croix in The Boss Who Stole Christmas and it is everything and more than you expect from a Jana Aston book. Her cute and quirky females, her dashing and debonair leading men, and all the funny and sexy times she’s so good at delivering. I know I’ll never look at an Advent calendar the same way again.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
This was absolutely adorable! Such a quick read and great to get you in the Christmas spirit. It was funny and so sweet and I loved the inner monologues. It’s a Hallmark movie in a cute little book form.
Audio review from January 2020
So I just finished the audio on this book. I’m listening to the collection want to review as I finish each book.
I read some of the 1 and 2 star reviews before writing mine to help me get a feel for other peoples perspective and to help put my thoughts into perspective.
So I agree with the fact that this was a very one sided story instead of the typical two sided story.
I feel that this could have easily just turned into a full novel.
HOWEVER since she explained in the end that they had been interested in each other since day one at least the relationship wasn’t truly that rushed. ANND he took her on the business trip because he was interested in her romantically and he acted on it by reading her. He did not force her to do anything (as stated in another review).
The story ended too quickly for my liking however it ended in a good place where they are starting their dating adventure and maybe we get a follow up book about their life later on.
Overall I liked it and I LOVE Erin Mallon!!
