Nina Redmond is a librarian with a gift for finding the perfect book for her readers. But can she write her own happy-ever-after? In this valentine to readers, librarians, and book-lovers the world over, the New York Times-bestselling author of Little Beach Street Bakery returns with a funny, moving new novel for fans of Nina George’s The Little Paris Bookshop. Nina is a literary matchmaker. … Bookshop.
Nina is a literary matchmaker. Pairing a reader with that perfect book is her passion… and also her job. Or at least it was. Until yesterday, she was a librarian in the hectic city. But now the job she loved is no more.
Determined to make a new life for herself, Nina moves to a sleepy village many miles away. There she buys a van and transforms it into a bookmobile — a mobile bookshop that she drives from neighborhood to neighborhood, changing one life after another with the power of storytelling.
From helping her grumpy landlord deliver a lamb, to sharing picnics with a charming train conductor who serenades her with poetry, Nina discovers there’s plenty of adventure, magic, and soul in a place that’s beginning to feel like home… a place where she just might be able to write her own happy ending.

I found this to be an enjoyable read, not life changing, but worth my time.
I enjoyed this story greatly. The plot was rather predictable, but still had some unique turns. I liked all the characters and all in all, it’s a nice way to spend a few hours.
A great weekend read! I will watch for more from this author!! Loved her style.
A great read for a slow Sunday afternoon
The main character took her dream and turned it into a career with help from some old and new friends . I would love to read a sequel about life in the Highlands behind the wheel of the bookstore.
The Bookshop on the corner is a nice read. Lovely descriptions and enjoyable characters. A nice break from reality.
Easy read, nice characters, in beautiful Scotland.
Set in Scotland, a place I have had the good fortune to visit several times, this book captured some of the great Scottish spirit. The characters and story drew me in and the book provided a very satisfying reading experience.
bit too chick lit
I enjoyed this one. Nice beach read.
I loved the characters and wanted more.
I loved this book. It’s about something I love (books) by someone who loves them too, about a character I really enjoyed.
Story about a young woman striking out on her own to unknown territory. She finds where she belongs and begins to make it work.
Very cute and original story. Really enjoyed the characters and all the mixed up scenarios.
I would love to travel around the country side bringing good books to people. There is nothing like a good book. ( Now of course this is outdated we just text Amazon to get anything!) but it was a great idea. This is a funny story where our lady librarian had to learn some things about people. Not all are nice nor good in their intentions. A bit of a crab can turn into someone very unexpected. Along the way funny and exciting things never imagined can happen out of something we believe to be bad.
great read
What a fun book! Book lovers rejoice! There is still romance and good people in the world! You just have to go out and find them yourself. Great little read that keeps you rooting for the protagonist as she stumbles at each turn.
Enjoyed this book. A quick read. Made me want to visit Scotland.
A nice, easy read about a mousy woman who finds her calling by starting an unusual book store in Scotland. As with most of Jenny Colgan’s leading men, the leading man in this book was not well-developed character-wise, so it was a nice ending, but not really satisfying.
I enjoyed reading about books, though!
A lovely and fun-filled read. Don’t miss it.
