Nina Redmond is a librarian with a gift for finding the perfect book for her readers. But can she write her own happy-ever-after? In this valentine to readers, librarians, and book-lovers the world over, the New York Times-bestselling author of Little Beach Street Bakery returns with a funny, moving new novel for fans of Nina George’s The Little Paris Bookshop. Nina is a literary matchmaker. … Bookshop.
Nina is a literary matchmaker. Pairing a reader with that perfect book is her passion… and also her job. Or at least it was. Until yesterday, she was a librarian in the hectic city. But now the job she loved is no more.
Determined to make a new life for herself, Nina moves to a sleepy village many miles away. There she buys a van and transforms it into a bookmobile — a mobile bookshop that she drives from neighborhood to neighborhood, changing one life after another with the power of storytelling.
From helping her grumpy landlord deliver a lamb, to sharing picnics with a charming train conductor who serenades her with poetry, Nina discovers there’s plenty of adventure, magic, and soul in a place that’s beginning to feel like home… a place where she just might be able to write her own happy ending.

Enjoyble read
Loved it – fun read
I loved this book and all of the characters, easy read that leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling.
I didn’t find it very challenging. It all seemed to move too fast to get to understand the characters. The plot was good but just not handled in a real interesting and realistic way. I was a bit disappointed because I love any plot about books, book stores, etc.
Jenny Colgan’s humorous romantic fiction takes on a special appeal with this story about a book-loving librarian who opens her own mobile bookstore and finds new friendships and romance in a tiny Scottish village.
A different kind of read — new to me geography, unusual story, pleasant reading.
Delightfully entertaining
a good read
I enjoyed it. I would read more books by this author.
Easy to read and interesting characters.
I love books set in Ireland Scotland or England, and this one was absolutely delightful! The characters were rich, and quirky, just the way I like them! I will be getting other books by this author.
A sweet tribute to book lovers everywhere in a fun, light read!
Many loose ends, too many unanswered questions, but otherwise the premise was interesting.
Cute story…easy read
This book was very unpredictable. I loved it. Not everyone can make scenery come alive and also send a message that happiness is not found in how much money you make but in doing what you love. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Good characters uplifting theme
I read her others books after this they are good stories too
This is a fun story about a young woman who follows her dream. Very fun read.
Really liked this book! Librarian and reading combined with humor and romance is such a good mix. I started it in the morning and read it by the fire the entire day. Could not put it down. And the irony was that the protagonist loved reading as much as I did.
Loved this book. Pure escapism. Have ordered more of Jenny Colgan’s books to read and am having to pace myself….don’t want to finish them too quickly.
Loved this! Could easily be my dream.
