Born into the lap of luxury and comfortable in the here and now, spoiled, tempestuous Tamara Goodwin has never had to look to the future—until the abrupt death of her father leaves her and her mother a mountain of debt and forces them to move in with Tamara’s peculiar aunt and uncle in a tiny countryside village.
Tamara is lonely and bored, with a traveling library as her only diversion. There … diversion. There she finds a large leather-bound book with a gold clasp and padlock, but no author name or title. Intrigued, she pries open the lock, and what she finds inside takes her breath away.
Tamara sees entries written in her own handwriting, and dated for the following day. When the next day unfolds exactly as recorded, Tamara realizes she may have found a solution to her problems. But in her quest to find answers, Tamara soon learns that some pages are better left unturned and that, try as she may, she mustn’t interfere with fate.

Another favourite from Cecelia Ahern. Great story, great writing, and I always feel that I’m present in the story. This has been read numerous times, and is always a story that I welcome into my lap. Absolutely amazing writer!
This book made me stop and think more closely about family interactions and repercussions of the choices we make.
It’s stated romance on the library tag…more mystery than romance and a good YA book
I liked the heroine, though she is a snarky spoiled brat. A well written character. I enjoyed the book. Only three stars is because though it was a promising premise, I did not think the author followed through on the idea as well as she could have. If I could read a diary and know what is happening tomorrow, I think I would have used that …
Great start continuing to just over half, then loosing steam and hurried towards the final pages.
Just a tiny bit of unexplainable phenomenon to pique your interest, lots of secrets to find out, engaging story. I am reading another book now by the same author.
Reading this book was like wandering along the ancient castle and overhearing the whisper of the ghosts of the past.
The Plot: The mesmerizing modern fairytale tells about Tamara Goodwin. The sixteen years old girl, who just lost her father and had to move with her mother to another place. Young Tamara doesn’t feel good living in the countryside …
Tamara grew on me through the book, and her outlook on life reminded me of what being a teenager felt like! I love the name Tamara too, I wanted to name my daughter it, but hubby hated it lol.
This was an enjoyable story of a young woman going through too much to soon and seeing things but being unable to put her finger on things.
The diary, I’m …
THE BOOK OF TOMORROW had sat for six years on my wish list, while I waited for the price to go down, and the day finally came! I was hoping I would not be disappointed; I had never read Cecelia Ahern before and it’s the sort of concept that can be hit and miss.
Sixteen year-old Tamara Goodwin’s father committed suicide, her mother is almost …
Loved it!
