From “the queen of royal fiction” (USA TODAY) comes this New York Times bestseller featuring three very different women whose fates are each bound by a bloody curse: the legacy of the Boleyn family. After the death of his third wife, Jane Seymour, King Henry VIII of England decides to take a new wife, but this time, not for love. The Boleyn Inheritance follows three women whose lives are forever … three women whose lives are forever changed because of the king’s decision, as they must balance precariously in an already shaky Tudor Court.
Anne of Cleves is to be married to Henry to form a political alliance, though the rocky relationship she has to the king does not bode well for her or for England.
Katherine Howard is the young, beautiful woman who captures Henry’s eye, even though he is set to marry Anne. Her spirit runs free and her passions run hot–though her affections may not be returned upon the King.
Jane Rochford was married to George Boleyn, and it was her testimony that sent her husband and infamous sister-in-law Anne to their deaths. Throughout the country, her name is known for malice, jealousy, and twisted lust.
The Boleyn Inheritance is a novel drawn tight as a lute string about three women whose positions brought them wealth, admirations, and power, as well as deceit, betrayal, and terror.

I thought there were a few things that might be historically accurate but overall Ms. Gregory does a great job with this period in England.
Love all her books
Everything this author writes is excellent & historically accurate even though they may be fictitious. I highly recommend ALL her books!
I think if I were describe this book in a single word, it would be tedious. There is so much repetition. Sometimes within the same sentence.
Once again, I can tell this is one of the earliest published books in the series. Gregory’s voice still seems muddled. I read the books before this (published more recently but chronologically earlier), …
Very interesting historical book
This book was s wonderful peek into the demented world of Henry VIII told through 3 women. I couldn’t put it down.
i really like her books.
typical story of the Boleyns but interesting to oearn her brothers wife testified against her and her brother and got to stay at court. Interesting story in Anne of Cleves.
I loved the historical significance of the book. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Henry VIII.
Interesting take on a stormy most of us think we know!
The author writes a fast-moving historical novel with interesting character
development. I enjoyed the book.
Felt like I was part of this world which turned on the whims of a very unpredictable King.
Loved the way the story line was revealed by a variety of narrators, all of whom I knew from their reputations in history. I really liked this book
As a fan of historical fiction, I enjoyed reading about the lives and tragic demise of three women who were tied to court life during the long reign of Henry VIII and the various people who manipulated them in order to gain power. The author told the story from the perspective of each of the three women which really made the story come to life. …
Well written and researched as all other books by her
Philippa Gregory is one of my favorite authors and English history one of my favorite topics. I think I have read every one of her Tudor books and enjoyed every one.
Excellent historical fiction for anyone with an interest in the Tudor era.
Anglophiles will love this.
Although fictional, very realistic story of Henry VIII madness from the viewpoint of little thought of people: Anne of Cleves, Jane Boleyn and teenage Anne, wife #5.
Boring ,repetitive, trite.
