Oh my! The drama was great! Didn’t know what was going to happen next. It definitely was hard to put it down!
Saving yourself for the one God has for you isn’t always easy. Its double hard when your thrown into the frying pan by your own choices. Amy once again finds herself in need of a bodyguard. But this time it is because of her own circumstances. Seamus walked away once because he wasn’t sure what Gods will was. But God has smacked him between the eyes with a second chance. Is it God’s will or is it selfishness?
I could hardly put this book down because of how intriguing it is. I just wanted to know what was happening next….In a proper setting and knowing there are authors out there who honor the pledge to God is amazing to find
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, hot and steamy, lust and passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

Elle E. Kay is one of the few authors of contemporary stories that I read. As with all her stories, The Bodyguard’s Fake Bride has a clever plot and a swoonworthy hero in Seamus McPherson. I related to Amy more than I would have liked. A workaholic, Amy has allowed her job to consume her life, to the detriment of friendships and romantic relationships. She is somewhat naïve about the danger she’s in, but reluctantly agrees to protection. Ms. Kay’s use of Scottish dialect was just enough to lend flavor to the story without being distracting. Seamus’s relationship with his family is complicated, as with most families, but in the end, they have each other’s backs, which I appreciated. His siblings, though many, are unique, and I loved his folks. I got frustrated at times with Amy who made rash decisions and assumptions (which made her a realistic character and meant I was invested in the story!). Another great story by Elle E. Kay.
I received a copy of this book from the author, and a review was not required, positive or otherwise. All opinions are my own.
Loved reading this book! Two people who love each other but neither one thinks the other one loves them! I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read romance books!
This is a sweet and clean romance. It is my first time reading something by Elle Kay and I really enjoyed it. I haven’t read the previous books in the series, so I didn’t quite know the backstory of some of the characters and it was a little hard for me to follow at first. But that is on me, since didn’t realize this isn’t the first book in the series. That said, I was still able to enjoy this story. Amy and Seamus were cute, each running circles around the other in regards to their feelings, which made for some pretty humorous moments. They were both fun characters and the chemistry was undeniable. This was a very enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to going back and reading the initial books in this series. I have definitely found a new author to follow!

Amy’s heart has been broken by Seamus and won’t happen that again. But it will be difficult to avoid that during a fake marriage. Can Seamus convince Amy that he’s serious about his love and keep her save from her stalker.
Fun story but reading so many times about protecting her heart went a bit dull. And I would have preferred to read a little more about the stalker.
This is a lovely bodyguard romance! I really liked it.. It has loveable characters and an adorable story. Humour, love and emotion..

This is a great second chance romance and a fake marriage with a lot of suspense. Amy was badly hurt when Seamus left without a word. Seamus didn’t think that they had a future because of their different goals. He’s back to try to win Amy, and it just so happens that she needs a bodyguard because of a stalker. Amy’s boss who is hiring Seamus thinks that the best solution is a fake marriage. Seamus and Amy both feel guilty about lying to everyone about their marriage, but hope that it will either stop the stalker or lure him out of hiding. The characters are likable and believable. I loved Seamus’s family and hope to read more about them. The plot has twists and turns and moves along at a good pace. I definitely plan to read more by this author. I recommend this to readers of clean romance and clean romantic suspense and to readers of Christian romance. I obtained a copy through KU.

I understand why Amy was upset when Seamus pulled back after she thought he was interested in her months ago and she thinks it’s over the top that she has to be fake married to him so he can protect her from a stalker, but she was hot and cold in their fake relationship. She wanted his affection and then she’d pull back and say they couldn’t kiss. I don’t blame him for being frustrated and not believing her. It also didn’t help that his twin brother Alec was still playing games by trying to pretend he was Seamus and trying to muddle their relationship. I enjoyed reading Hawaii and Scotland as they are both places I would love to visit someday. Although I don’t think I’d enjoy being awakened by bagpipes at 5 in the morning. This was a clean Christian romance with plenty of funny and dramatic moments.
What an awesome book! I read this book and couldn’t put it down until the last page was read. I recommend this book and can’t to read more by Elle Kay.

Book nine of the Blushing Brides series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Seamus McPherson and Amy Anderson’s story there is suspense, drama, danger, kidnapping, a stalker, a fake marriage?, and two people that have to learn to listen to each other. I want to read more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Yes, I have read the previous stories in this series so a lot of background helped me understand the back stories of these characters! That would help with this story, especially Amy’s! She’s a workaholic assistant to Zach who was a main character in another book. That would help because you might wonder why they are so close in this book! However, she has fallen for Seamus previously when he was in town but then he left and took her heart with him. When he comes back because Zach hires him to be Amy’s bodyguard because she has a stalker, Amy doesn’t think she can take being close to him again without engaging her heart. I enjoyed the general story and liked the characters, especially Seamus’ family in Scotland! Fun to read about that country! However, two things were a little hard for me. One, I didn’t always understand Seamus’ language! He spoke his Scottish accent and vocabulary through the whole book and I didn’t always understand it so I just skipped over it at times. Two, I didn’t really connect with Amy much. She was way too concerned with not falling for Seamus again that she put up so many roadblocks! I can understand guarding your heart to some point but she went overboard. I just didn’t particularly like her most of the book but in the end, the HEA won out!
Good story to spend an afternoon reading.
A broken heart in the past and now Amy is knee-deep with Seamus again. Amy is in danger and Seamus plans to protect her but playing at being married is really taking it over the top. That is not all she is going to Scotland with him for a clan reunion. If you are looking for steam pick another book but if you are looking for a good story that just happens to be faith-based then I highly recommend this one. The love story is realistic, the danger kept me on the edge of my seat, and what I really liked is you will not know how this turns out till the very end. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Okay, so I guess this really needs to be read as a continuation of the series rather than a stand alone. As a stand alone, the story seems to pick up out of nowhere, with the author assuming that you’ve read the previous books. While this is a new couple, this is not the beginning of the their story. You actually miss quite a bit by not reading the previous books. It is quite obvious and makes it difficult to get into the story. The writing itself seems quite stilted, the characters wooden and not true to life. I had a very hard time connecting with any character, or even liking a single one. And the plot seemed unnecessarily complicated. Almost seemed as if twists were added just to be added, and the resolutions were unsatisfying. All in all, not a book I’d recommend.

This book is so good! It has action, suspense and romance. It will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book. At the end of the book the author gives her personal testimony and I hope and pray you will read it. Thank you Elle E. Kay for being so open and honest in your testimony and for writing this wonderful story.
