Good book definitely encourages you to read more books by this author
An entertaining read. Worth it.
Really liked this book
The Boat House Secret keeps you guessing until the very end! It is suspenseful with romance wrapped in!
Quick, easy read with twists and turns in trying to figure out who done it. Mystery and romance combined.
It started out great and kept your interest throughout the whole book.
Boring
I really enjoyed it
I found this book to be trite, and to me, seemed to be written by a teenager who is pretending to be older. I found the main character unlikeable and unbelievable. I found the writing to be stilted as if it was the author’s first try at a book. It didn’t flow and the character development was truly lacking. I don’t know how to explain the writing or even how to give an idea on how to improve it, but I just found the whole book lacking. The story line was one that could have been a good one, but the whole time I kept thinking, why am I continuing to read this book.
I really enjoyed reading this book but wish I had read books number one and number two before I read this one. I think Debra Burrows is a wonderful author.
Great characters..great story. Enjoyed this one.
Just when you think you have it figured out, something changes
Enjoy her books.
This is a cozy romantic mystery for those that enjoy a light plot. The plot was okay but this was not a page turner. It’s more a beach read and more a romance than a murder mystery.
I guess I became a bit off put a game of “whom do I love” Michael or Logan. And then when the sister becomes involved helping Michael….the writing is on the wall.
She will help Michael recover from his loss of Jess as she goes forward with Logan. And to heck with the murder, it seemed to have been thrown in last minute. And the way Jess uses people to get her crime story for the paper is just sad. I couldn’t like her.
If you love romance, maybe this is for you.
I can’t recommend it as a great mystery.
The plot of this book was good, but the triangular romance which carried over from book 1 and 2 was too much. She spent way too much time on that. You just wanted her to make her choice and be done.
This is a Harlequin Romance formulaic book, with a dash of mystery thrown in. If you’re a fan of this formula, you’ll like this book. If you’re a fan of light, cozy mysteries, you’ll probably like this book. If you’re looking for a mystery with plot twists and surprises, this is not the book for you. That being said, it’s well written and the story flows well enough, although I personally found all the main characters repetitive, and Jenessa annoyingly dense. It was fine for a quick road trip read, but I wouldn’t choose to read other books by this author.
A simple story where three different women get the man of their dreams all while an old mystery is solved. Simple romance more than a mystery story.
Easy reading. Good story line. Would recommends.
This was a very fun and entertaining read! Highly recommend!
I thought it was a great story. It kind of dragged in the first third or so but then I tend to want things to go fast once I figure out the obvious even tho I know you need to develop story background. I truly was surprised at the ending and recommend it as a “light” as in not super intense mystery. I would definitely read more of the series.
