Packed with action and suspense, this fast-paced adventure novel follows Kiko and several other characters around the world in search of a secret in the heart of Siberia, where Kiko’s ingenuity is pitched against the might of the KGB and the Black Hats, a mysterious monastic order.
The Blue Heart Mission is the third book in the series. The book is fast passed and action pact with plenty of twists and turns. I love this authors writing style as there was never a dull moment. The author’s attention to detail really makes this book stand out. I really enjoyed this book and think others would as well.

The Blue Heart Mission : A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller ( The Kiko Ochisan Adventure Series Book 3)by By Lina Vine is the third book in The Kiko Ochisan Series. This book has a bit of everything from adventure, mystery to suspense. Theres some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading. Kiko is a woman of many talents and she uses them to help her succeed with things she does. There are a few other characters that we’re introduced to and also follow. This story made me feel like I was right there with them and everything they did or went through. I’ve truly loved this series and recommend it highly. Find out what happens next by grabbing this wonderful book.I can’t wait to read more from this author.
This is the third book in “The Kiko Ochisan Adventure Series” and it’s the one I’ve enjoyed the most. It truly is an “adventure thriller” and the way the book is written and how it is formatted (some chapters are 2 “pages”) allowed me to devour this book from cover to cover.
At times this is a travel journal, at other times it’s a spy thriller, and still other it’s a view on human nature. All of these elements are written with a sharp edge that keep it interesting. There were certain times that I was reading in accents of what I thought the character sounded like (I admit that I sound much like Natasha and Boris) and other times I was having to mentally abbreviate certain names because I would stumble over them which took me out of the the moment briefly. Even in those weird moments that I got too much in my head, I wanted to continue reading.
I have enjoyed all three books in this series and recommend them all.
The Blue Heart Mission is the third book in The Kiko Ochisan Adventure Series from Lina Vine. I have to say this series has grown on me slowly, but I am glad that I have stuck through it when I have found myself confused or bored (sorry, but I was a few times with each novel in the series.) because it really does get better as the story continues to unfold. I would have to say this one has become my favorite of the series as of yet, and I am awaiting the next installment, Death on the Flower Island. It is possible to read each novel as a standalone, but I wouldn’t recommend it, with the way things unfold, your reading experience will simply be enriched to read the series in its entirety and in order.
In the same fashion we have seen with the previous two novels, this one is short and packs a big punch, you get a lot of story in a short amount of pages. The same politically driven, drama, action, and adventure are very relevant throughout. Kiko Ochisan continues to find herself engulfed in these scenarios, and following her on each journey has been fun. As a character, she grows with each novel. We get more of the KGB and Black Hats, as they once again are pushing against Kiko any way that they can. What will happen on this adventure? You will have to dive in and see for yourself. While you are at it pick up the first two books and enjoy how this story continues to unfold.
The Blue Heart Mission: A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller is the third book in the series by Lina Vine. This story is longer than its predecessors and as usual there is so much going on. Once again Kiko is thick in the middle of the drama and suspense with the Black Hats and the KGB. There are mysteries and thrills, twists and turns every step of this adventure that has you on the edge of the seat. This well paced tale has you imagining the beauty of the world as we take this journey with our heroine.
The Blue Heart Mission by Lina Vine

Kiko is back at it again. This time she is tested even more and is up against the KGB. This series has come so far and every book holds your attention. The authors attention to details in this series is what makes it amazing. It’s a little overwhelming because the POV switches a lot. I liked that every book is connected but is a different story. This is a well written story packed with action. You feel as though you are right in the story with every character. You never get the feeling that this story is rushed or too short.
The Blue Heart Mission: A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller (The Kiko Ochisan Adventure Series Book 3) by Lina Vine was a fast paced, action packed, spy thriller that had me hooked.
Jumping back into Kiko’s world, in this instalment she is mixed up with the KGB. Though this is the thrid book, it’s reads like a stand alone, but I do suggest reading the first two books, so you can get a better feel of Kiko and get a better image of her background. They are short books, so it won’t take you that long to catch up.
Never a dull moment in this series, and this book is no different. It’s pack full of everything I love about action thrillers. There are some heart gripping moments as well as beautifully choreographed fight/action scenes. I like how Kiko is still growing and learning, she has yet to reach her limits and I want to read more about this kickass wonder-woman spy. We are introduced to some new friends in this book, and they round out the story and make it multi layered/complex and of course, fun.
Overall this book, as well as the others, is a super high recommendation from me. There is a little bit of everything, and with the easy writing style and smooth flow, it’s a perfect book that will fit anyones reading level. This action packed world of cat and mouse will have your feels in a knot and will get that adrenaline flowing.
Happy Reading

I give The Blue Heart Mission: A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller (The Kiko Ochisan Adventure Series Book 3) by Lina Vine, 4 stars.
Kiko is now on the hunt for a supposed ancient treasure. But she is not alone. It turns out there are others also hunting for it, but some of them will stop at nothing to get what they want. Will Kiko be able to find it, or will the KGB best her to it?
This is another book in the Kiko series filled with a lot going on. There is plenty of action and so much more. There are many players in this book, so the point of view switches back and forth. This book puts you in mind of an Indiana Jones type adventure. While all of the characters are done quite well and the story will keep you reading, I personally was a bit disappointed at how little we saw Kiko. Being this is her series, I was really hoping to see more of her. This felt like more of a spin off to me. But there is plenty of everything else in this book that you have come to expect in Kiko books.
If you like action adventure books, I recommend this book. In my opinion, you can read this as a standalone, but the other books in the series are great so I suggest reading them to get a better understanding of Kiko.
The Blue Heart Mission: A Kiko Ochisan Adventure is the third book in this series by Lina Vine. The writing, characters and story were good but I really had a hard time getting into the book which saddened and disappointed me.
This story takes place in Russia in the Eighty’s before the fall of communism which I think is a great timeline especially since Russia has been in the news so much lately.
There were some parts that I couldn’t turn the page fast enough to find out what was going to happen. I think the ending of this book was great and I think sets up things nicely for the next book. I will be adding the next book to my to be read list just to see what happens next.
The Blue Heart Mission by Lina Vine is the third book in her Kiko Ochisan Adventure series. These books can all be read as standalones however I would highly recommend reading the whole series as, not only as they just that good, but it will give you all the build up to Kiko’s character.
This time the story takes Kiko all around the world. Searching everywhere to solve a deep rooted secret in Siberia, Kiko finds herself up the KGB, a group that are as formidable as everyone thinks. She also finds herself pitting her wits against a mysterious group, a monastic order called the Black Hats. It is all down to Kiko to find out what part they all play in this new adventure.
I was excited to get back in to reading about Kiko. Her adventures are always exciting and fast paced, and this one was exactly the same. The story was completely different to the others in the series yet had the same familiar feel about them. The writing draws you in and you find yourself hooked almost immediately. This is one book, and one series, that will not let you go until it is ready.
This book I feel wasn’t as good as the second one. It was good when I could stay focused on this action packed but it’s very fast pace book. I couldn’t fully keep up or focused on the fast pace. I would get lost and have to reread what I just read. All in all it’s a good book. Is there more because I want to see what’s next. It has action and is full of surprises. Good thing to read if you want a fast pace book.

A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller
The Kiko Ochisan Adventure Series
Book 3
By Lina Vine
This book is a full length novel. It is an adventure thriller with loads of twists and turns.
Kiko takes on the KGB and The Black Hearts. As she travels to the heart of Siberia. She meets many people and they band together to solve the mystery. She is such a strong and determined woman. Can she get to the heart of things? What approach will she take? Only one way to find out. Read book 3.
Lina Vine has really outdone herself with this story. She keeps you reading this truly page turning adventure. I love her characters, even the ones that I was supposed to not like. You will find limited information on this book, from my review. As I don’t want to give any spoilers. Just sit right down and get started. So good! Lina Vine has found another reader. As I will be looking for more from her.
A great read about mystery. When Professor Orlov uncovers treasures on an archaeological dig in Siberia, he only expects to make a new scientific discovery. However, when he finds details concerning the mysterious Black Hats, the Russian KGB become interested in his work. Racing against time, he hurries to protect the treasures and employs Kiko to help him do so. Will he be able to hdie the discovery and escape the KGB before it is too late?
a great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Full of mystery and fast paced action to make it a captivating read so you kept reading to find out what happened next. The small settings of houses and offices worked well with this with sense of small spaces for the characters to escape from. I also loved the visual detail of the statue and diary with a sense of beauty and wonder. I also adored the perfect sense of what it is like to be in a museum with crowds and hallways and different artefacts. The combination of scientists at the museum and Buddhist monks worked well and contrasted beautifully. The use and respect towards different languages and cultures was written perfectly with the reverence they deserve. I also enjoyed the use of locations in chapter titles which were easy to follow and helped the reader visualise the setting and culture each chapter was written in. Overall, a great read and i would give it five stars.
I always enjoy delving into a Lina Vine book, and wasn’t disappointed with The Blue Heart Mission.
This book is the 3rd installment in A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller. I loved that I enjoyed this storyline as much as I enjoyed the first 2 books. It definitely kept me entertained with the mystery and suspense, as well as adventure.
I loved seeing how Kiko develops as an individual, and who she becomes. I’m amazed with the author’s ability to maintain the reader’s attention. Definitely a 4 Star Book.
The Blue Heart Mission by Lina Vine is as enjoyable as the rest of the Kiko Ochisan Adventures. This story takes the reader travelling along with it, on a journey to Russia and beyond. It’s easily apparent how much research has gone into this novel. It’s very detailed yet the text never feels weighed down as a result of that. This story is a fantastic read.
The Blue Heart Mission: A Kiko Ochisan Adventure Thriller by Lina Vine. This is the 3rd installment in this series but can be read as a standalone. I love these books. I’ve read all 3 now and this was my favorite. They are quick reads that keep you on the edge of your seat. This book deals with Kiko taking on the KGB and the Black Hats. Full of mystery and intrigue this book will grab your attention and not let go. Its set in Siberia and as with her other books you feel as if you’ve been to these places after you’ve finished the book. Do yourself a favor and read this series and get hooked on Lina Vine like I have!
This third book in the series by Lina Vine continues to enrapture and delight. Although this book is rich in detail and written in a way to enable it to stand alone, I believe the story is best enjoyed read in the order presented. The adventures Kiko embarks on continue to entertain and enthrall. I continue to thoroughly enjoy these characters, this series, and this author. Thoroughly enjoyed and wholeheartedly recommend.

This series has been great so far, I really appreciate the character of Kiko and along the way there have been other characters that I have enjoyed that have been great additions to this journey. You could read this as a stand alone but I don’t necessarily recommend that because Im thinking there would be places you might wish you had all the story and how Kiko is who she is and where she is in this story. Besides they are great.
Looking forward to the next in this series and more of Kiko’s adventures. I love the twists and turns that are placed perfectly throughout and the mystery aspect of it all was wonderful.
Truly enjoyed it and would highly recommend!
The Blue Heart Mission by Lina Vine is the third book in the Kiko Oschisan series. With each book Lina Vine engrosses me every time. Lina Vine does an amazing job of describing everything that Kiko is going through and feeling that I find myself right there with her. Her quest is full of special secondary characters which enhance Kiko’s journey. Within the story there are many twists and turns which enhance the story even more. I recommend this series as all the books are fantastic.

The Blue Heart Mission is the captivating third instalment in The Kiko Ochisan Adventure series by Lina Vine. This series just seems to get better and better with each new book. It is a quick and easy fast paced thrilling adventure- with drama, action, political intrigue, and some mystery – the story, and series as a whole, is very detailed and descriptive, transporting the reader into the story. I really liked the first two books, but I think this has become my firm favourite of the series, so far.
We met Kiko Ochisan in the first book, ‘In the Land of the Crane’, where she was a former Secret Agent for Japan. A lot has happened over the course of the previous two books and now, in this book, Kiko is pitted against the might of the KGB, and the powerful Black Hats- which will once again push and test Kiko in so many ways. What happens you may ask? Well, you really should get yourself a copy and find out all the gripping, action-packed details for yourself- you are sure to love Kiko and her adventure/s as much as I have!
Even though this is the third book in a series, you could read it as a standalone. But I really recommend reading the entire series in the correct sequence, to get the full Kiko experience and see how this character has developed over the course of the series. I feel that this would help make your reading experience of this book so much more enjoyable.
As with the first two books, this is a novella sized story which has a lot going on in a small space- but it never felt rushed or cut short in any way. A wonderful addition to the series, and I am really looking forward to seeing what Kiko does next in Death on the Flower Island, releasing in the Fall of 2018!
Thank you, Lina Vine!
