This is one of my favorite of her books. It’s set in the restaurant world on Nantucket and I felt like I was there. I’m also from Cape Cod and grew up working in restaurants and this took me back. It was very well done, easy to get lost in the story.
I have enjoyed all of Elin’s novels because of the way she introduces the reader to the island of Nantucket. She never disappoints!
Elin is one of my favorite authors. I have read all of her books and this is a good one.
I love all of Elin hilderbrand books, but this one in particular made me very happy because it got me cooking again. Just the descriptions of the food prep alone are a good reason to read the book. Not to mention the wonderful plot, fabulous characters, and the fact that I just couldn’t put this book down. Highly recommended.
I always enjoy Elin’s books, characters, and setting….a nice escape.
So much detail and charm
Adrienne stumbled upon a restaurant and find herself a job after her ex took off with her money. She learns to enjoy the restaurant business, but then starts to fall for Thatcher, but she know there is something he’s not telling her.
The head chef of the restaurant, Fiona rarely makes an appearance to the customers. She doesn’t want press around …
Have enjoyed every book by this author.
Loved this yarn!!!!
I loved the characters and the restaurant experience.
Should be billed as “literary fiction” rather than “women’s fiction.”
What an absolutely amazing book! I love all of Elin Hilderbrand’s books, but Blue Bistro might be my favorite one yet. Such a touching and heartwarming read. The employees of Blue Bistro feel like family now and this author puts you right into the center of their crazy world. Highly recommended!
Great story with entwined characters.
good easy read
A realistic look at running a restaurant and trying to maintain a social life also.
Beach read.
I very much enjoyed this book, although I’m not sure how much I liked the main character – it’s hard to say. Sometimes I wanted to give her a good smack in the head and tell her to get some therapy. I had hoped for a bit of different outcome for Blue Bistro itself.
Loved it and the recipes included from the restaurant in the story! After reading this I read everything Elin Hilderbrant wrote! Fell in love with Nantucket because she took me there!
This book was not was I expected. It took a little bit to get into it, but it was great!
Loved this wonderful book…great read!!!
