What do a Vampire, a Fae, and a hunk of a Wolf have in common?Me. They all have me. Remember that whole ‘don’t sleep with other students rule’ that I blew out of the water? Turns out it wasn’t the only thing I blew.Finn, Howl, and Saxon are officially mine, and after facing a kidnapping, crashing an underground blood party and going toe to toe with the Alpha Wolf my boys are stuck to me like … Alpha Wolf my boys are stuck to me like flypaper on an untrimmed bush.
Too bad things for us are about to go upside down.
It all started with a piece of paper from a certain bullnosed wolf challenging me to a life-or-death battle of wills.
Here I was thinking Bloodwood Academy for the Supernatural was going to be easy.
My hands are full with a new semester, new duties, and three dangling… men. I might have a problem if the mysterious fourth guy that Saxon keeps talking about shows up.
Bloodwood Academy is a full-length Reverse Harem with no end to throbbing actions, breathless battles, and page turning scenes that will make you want to lock your door and shut out the world for a while.
No batteries required.

Book 2 is a fun and wild ride. I was glad that the whole challenge thing happens pretty quickly, I was expecting it to cover the whole book, but it happens pretty quickly and sets the stage for more. There is steam, more revelations and questions – I really am hoping she says no to the demon, but this series is addictive and I want more 🙂
This book sucks you end and doesn’t let go till it’s done with you. I can’t wait for the third book. I need more now. I love ivy and her guys.
The Bloodwood Academy Shifter Semester 2
by Rae Foxx
TLDR: This is a SOLID sequel to Semester 1. If you enjoyed Semester 1, or like paranormal RH romance, explicit sex, and a great story, READ THIS SERIES.
ARC: I received a copy of the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased (preordered) the book.
Release date: September 27, 2019
Technical stuff:
This story is a paranormal, fast-burn, reverse-harem romance. There is explicit sex in the story line, as well as a fair amount of NSFW language. These are not gratuitous, but part of the flow of the story. There is some violence, including the threat of rape, which may be triggering for some (bullying in school and by one former lover, threat of rape). If these may trigger you, then perhaps this isn’t the book for you.
The story is told in first person, from the FMC, Ivy’s, perspective. There is a cliff-hanger ending in the overarching story line with of this book. It stands alone as a story, but a fair amount of nuance may be missing if you have not read The Bloodwood Academy Shifter Semester 1.
Previous books/backstory: *PREVIOUS BOOK SPOILERS*
Ivy comes from the wrong side of the tracks, even for a human. She finds out that she’s more than human, though, and is whisked off to Bloodwood Academy as a Shifter. She finds out that there are Fae, Witches (female and male), Vampires, and Shifters. Ivy is informed by the headmaster, Nicky, that there is one absolute rule: No relationships outside of your “species” of magic. Children of such unions are slaughtered. Ivy being Ivy… rules don’t mean much. Enter the Fae prince, Finn. (pun intended) And then Saxon, a powerful vampire, proclaiming Ivy a blood queen.
Nicky and many students inform her that she is slightly more welcome than something you’d scrape off your shoe. Bullying begins with the Headmaster’s implied consent, and Ivy, tough as titanium, endures and even thrives.
The “peeping Tom” witch Librarian who can replicate herself gives Ivy a book teaching her that it used to be common to have a reverse harem, and the rule of no cross-magic relationships is something relatively new.
Pater, the Alpha for all shifters in the area and the Nicky are set to perpetuate a dynasty by marrying Pater’s son, Howl, to Nicky’s niece, Selene. Only problem is that Howl is Ivy’s True Mate. Selene challenges Ivy for Howl, and loses badly. Pater intends to keep them apart; he threatens to rape Ivy to death, and tortures Howl. Through one thing and another, Ivy finds out that she is being used as “bait” to bring her parents (her father, specifically) to the school for reasons unknown, but probably not friendly reasons. Ivy is abducted and is nearly sacrificed in an evil magical rite. Ivy and her mates must help her escape.
Opinions and overview of story (with minimal/no spoilers):
After you read an amazing book, you always have the niggling worry that the next book won’t be as good. Don’t worry: Semester 2 is a worthy sequel. It seemed to me that there may have been slightly fewer sex scenes (although the hotness of the sex scenes remains unequalled) in favor of character development—which, like everything else Rae Foxx writes, is done masterfully.
I definitely enjoyed the story, the sex scenes are fun and hot, the emotions and relationships feel authentic. I definitely recommend reading this book.
AHHHH! What an amazing book to read. I literally devoured this book in one sitting. I was so excited when I first started reading this book and let me just say that it was a crazy ride. I was holding my breath, sitting on the edge of my seat and needing to take a FREAKING COLD SHOWER just to cool down. I love Ivy Potter, she is funny and kick-ass main character. Her guys, are just as amazing as they are SEXY. Everything that happens in this book was crazy intense. Some characters make their return and I for one was shocked with one person. The other I totally despise. So what will Ivy do? Will she win this fight? Will she find her parents? So many questions I could answer but if I did that then you will never read this book.
If you like sexy men, an AMAZING FMC, bad guys then read this series. You will not be disappointed.
**********Contains Spoilers**********
This book was awesome. Ivy and her mates work together to find out more about her origins and how she has magic when it shouldn’t be possible since they know that her dad’s actually the first shifter, instead of a mortal who left her and her mum. I love the connection that Ivy has with Howl, Finn and Saxon as well as that connection that they have to each other and it’s obvious that they all care about each other a lot. I was shocked when Ivy’s ex-boyfriend Tommy comes back into the picture bringing the stench with him since he’s actually a Demon and had been feeding off her for years. It’s one thing if she agreed to it but he was always constantly making her mad so he could feed off her emotions. I’m really hoping that Ivy doesn’t end up being mated to him as well, as he treats her like sh*t, constantly degrades her and calls her a b*tch like all the time. I’m looking forward to reading what happens next especially with Ivy, her mates and her pack hiding out in the caves after Pater and his sadistic pack attacked Ivy’s pack while her, Finn and Saxon were at the Witches Solstice party trying to gather information on her mother since she found out that her mother is actually a Witch so that’s where her powers originate from so they ran to save their lives. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Series Review:
I hated Tommy right off the bat. That boy is a jerk! At least in the beginning. He just ran away like a little punk after the incident on the camping trip! That really upset me but things change later on in the series.
Okay with that off my chest lets get on with the rest of the review.
The MC is amazing and well written. I love her attitude and personality. She is thrown for a loop when she finds out shes a wolf and only 17 years behind in training and knowledge. That will be easy to catch up on right? Well nothing is ever that easy she as to over come many hurdles to get to happiness and even learn forgiveness. Each character grown and matures through out the series and it was wonderful to read.
The steamy scenes are on point in this series as well and some MM was introduced which I enjoyed. The series was well balanced between the story and sexy time which I feel can be a hard thing to accomplish and was done well here.
I highly recommend this series and hope who ever reads it loves it like I did!
Omfg… This books was good. Totally learnt more about Ivy…can’t wait for the next book and to see where this journey takes up.. hell yeah.. let your imagination run wild with this series totally read the first semester first… Go on you know you want too…loved it
