Greyson
Like a pretty feather, Emerson Jane Banner drifts into my bed the very night I quit my band. Her kisses are a sweet drug, but I don’t get her name before she slips out the next morning. Months later our paths cross unexpectedly. And yeah, maybe I don’t remember her, but she’s my newest addiction.
I make myself a promise. I won’t let her get away this time.
Emerson
Greyson Finch shattered my innocence, showed me desire, then kicked me out of his hotel room. I never thought I’d see him again after that night, but somehow, he finds me. Here’s the problem. He doesn’t remember me. Doesn’t remember our kisses. Or how he made me beg for each one. And maybe I hate him, but I’ll use this arrogant rockstar like he once used me.
I make myself a promise. I won’t let him break my heart again.

This is my first time reading from this author, and holy it will definitely not be the last. Sweet little Emerson and bad boy rock star Greyson, what an odd pair but oh so right at the same time. Greyson is the typical rockstar, bad attitude and even bigger addiction, but there is something about Emerson that oddly calms him. Fate seems to of pulled them together or should I say back together and holy are these two perfect for each other.
The Bloodfeather Promise is book one in the Seven Seconds series by April Moran. This tumultuous display is a must read for the lover of a captivating story. I loved the uniqueness of each character, how they all blended together but kept their individuality. It was a poignant foray into a topsy turvy relationship between Graysen and Emerson. Their personalities were complex simplicity. It was a true delight to read this story and I cannot wait for more from this author now that I know the talent that is exhibited. 5 stars.
Loved this book. So many swoons. Emerson and greyson chemistry was off the charts
A reformed rockstar, second chance romance. Greyson Finch is rock star, a manwhore and a mess. Emerson is naive and sweet but decides to take a risk with a night with Greyson, the morning after however proves that Gresyon reputation is true as he kicks Emmerson out. Months later once clean and sober Greyson crosses paths with Emerson again, not remembering her, he still finds himself drawn to her in a way that wont let go. This is the second chance story to Emerson and Greyson, the story of forgiveness and a reformed rock star. I found myself not wanting put this book down until I knew how it ended.
The Bloodfeather Promise is the first book I have read by April. I liked Emerson and Grayson’s story. This book contains alcohol & drug addiction, tragedy, angst and a strong connection between characters. The book is very detailed as well. I hope we get to see the other band members get a book. I look forward to reading more April’s books.
Such a great book absolutely loved it couldn’t put it down
Greyson is having a hard time with the lose of his brother. He turns to drugs, alcohol and women to try and lose himself. To bad it is ruining the band. One night all hopped up on drugs he meets a girl that is talking to his band mate. So he takes her from him. The next day she is gone but hasn’t stopped thinking of her. He eventually gets clean and is on a break when he runs into Emererson. He doesn’t remember her but she remembers him. I enjoyed reading this book. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
This was my first story by April Moran. I always enjoy when there is a rockstar vibe. It was an easy read and nice to see the second chance romance. I am looking forward to reading more stories.
Wow the book was hard to get into because as a reader you don’t like Greyson’s character but that is what great writing is all about, to make you feel, emotions of love and hate for the character. When his brother dies and he grieves for over a year in booze and drugs, then has a one night with a girl he doesn’t remember.
As a rocker, she portrayed Greyson as he truly was and they live on the edge and have many one night stands and forget the girls, that is just the way it is. Then he visits Emerson in her hometown and becomes interested in her, almost fixated. The story gets interested but the point of view grades out readers when they want the fairy tale ending and a more comfortable plot. Although it was hard to get into, the ending was on point.
This book totally blew me away! I couldn’t put it down! I am a huge fan of rockstar romances and The Bloodfeather Promise was just amazing! This is the first time I’ve read anything from April and after reading this book I will definitely be reading more from her.
Wow wow wow, this is my first book by this author but I am telling you it certainly won’t be my last. OMG this book had me cringing from the very first chapter and I was like “nope not going to read anymore” but the reviews made me continue and boy oh boy am I glad I finished this book. This is my kind of book. It was truly amazing and I highly recommend it.
The Bloodfeather Promise follows rockstar Greyson and Emerson. It took me a while to get into the book and so really didn’t like Greyson’s character to begin with. Greyson, is a shell, his brother has died which he feels guilty about and he’s practically lost his best friend as well by blaming him for the accident that killed his brother. So for the past year Greyson has been lost in drink, drugs and women. He spends a night with Emerson big doesn’t fully remember her. He then turns up in her hometown, buying a house and runs into her and feels an instant attraction. Emerson is not about to tell him about their night together as he obviously doesn’t remember her and treated her like rubbish the morning after. Greyson slowly works his charm on her but things don’t turn out well when his band mates recognise her and he feels she’s been lying to him. Took me a while but I got really into this book and characters.
I am definitely in the minority here in that I did not care for this book or for any of the characters at all. I get that grief makes people do stupid stuff but Greyson didn’t seem likable even before the accident. Emerson to me was a doormat. One minute smacking a guy for disrespecting her, next thing letting him jerk her around the next. Definitely not my cup of tea.
