Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen—all of them, and they’re stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood—the blood of Olympus—in order to wake. The … demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it might be able to stop a war between the two camps. The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea’s army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

Just when I think this author has gone as far as he can he comes up with another wonderful book. Just can’t get enough of this authors books.
This final battle against the giants and Gia is awesome!
So many twists and turns. Loads of action. And the worldbuilding and the layers to the prophecy of seven is impressive.
Leo stays my favourite. Nico is a close second.
A great ending to this series.
A must-read for mythology and fantasy fans.
Not the wisest of things to read, the final book in a series, but in my defence, it was the only one I had given it was a charity shop buy.
And it was not so bad, at first I was who the hell are all these people, this cast of hundreds but mainly there was an index and explanation at the back to help with that. That and the fact I was vaguely familiar with Greek and Roman Gods.
So we actually have several stories, or rather, a single-story split in two.
Two groups of heroes to save the world, one is escorting a big ole statue home, the other is to stop Gaia awakening.
Against them, all the gods who have schizophrenia, most of the dead, all of the monsters and all of the roman demi-gods, so an easy task, really.
It sees-saws back and forward and is a bit of a don’t want to put down read.
My own taste runs to death gods, so one of the key characters being the son of a death god, even if he is a miserable goth, made it more of a fun read.
I won’t spoil the story but running to 500+ pages, it is a book you won’t bore off even if it takes you a time to finish.
And this is not just a YA book. Adults will enjoy it too.
The last book of the series and it was okay for me.
When I first started reading chapter books, I read this, and when i realized i was reading the last book i read the first all the way back to here, Rick Riordan has been doing a amaaaaazing job on creating these books!
It was awesome. I have read all these books and I love them!!!!!
Very amazing book. Probably the best of that whole series.
nice and wonder my friend sanna / Virgil and i diced to read this book and it is wonderfull
This book is one of my personal favs. I enjoyed it very much, I would like to see more from this author
A mostly satisfying ending to a great series. Everyone got what they needed, but some characters got a bit shorted in page time. Hazel and Frank, for instance, don’t get POV chapters. Nico and Reyna really came into their own, and I could see Reyna getting her own book some time (there’s unfinished business there). The pace is relentless, just as it’s been for the entire series. Riordan knows how to keep us turning pages or page clicks.
One of the best books I have ever read
This book is (like the others of its series) completely awesome.
Great Book
While the demigods on the Argo II race across ancient Greece, Reyna and Nico are racing back to Camp Half-Blood. But will their efforts be enough to reunite the Greek and Roman sides of the gods in time to defeat Gaea?
With so much happening, there is little time to backtrack and bring new readers into the story. However, longtime fans will be richly rewarded with the wonderful storytelling here. The plot moves quickly between the two sets of characters and builds to an impossible to put down climax. The characters we love continue to grow as well. It’s hard to say goodbye to these great characters, but this is a great end to an epic series.
just a redo of the Original series. Percy & Company are wasted in this series. skip this series if you really liked Percy
