The Blackstone Lion is full-length paranormal romance novel with explicit love scenes, naughty language, and shifter suspense action with guaranteed HEA, no cheating and no cliffhangers!more
Another great book in this series. Luke has been estranged from his family and in this book we find out more him and why he is so angry. His mate is Georgina and she too has secrets that come to light in this book. Their path is rocky but there is a HEA. Blackstone is in danger and the whole team needs to work together.
LOVED this story! I love the story line mixed with the ongoing issues of Luke and the anti-shifter group. I love seeing a story where the heroine already has a child. I think that the chemistry between Luke and Georgina is HOT! Grayson is super cute! I want to bottle up this story and be able to reproduce it over and over and over again! This is a big 5 stars!
Four and a half stars. This fifth book in the series is about Luke, the adopted son. It is a standalone but makes more sense if you have read the others. Luke is the troubled one among the brothers and cousins and we finally learn the whole story behind his bad behavior. Georgina also has a past she doesn’t want to share. I don’t especially like when one of the main characters withholds important information from their significant other. But, there are some interesting twists and turns but the reader wants them to get together and have their HEA.
Alicia has a knack for closing out a series in a way that has you wanting to start it all over again. You just don’t want it to end. Luke gets his shot at love. If you read Nathan’s story then you know who his mate is.
Way to blindside me though Alicia! Was not expecting all these secrets to come out. Holy macaroni! Continuing to keep you on your toes. Alicia delivers another stellar read that will have you purring in delight.
This latest of the Blackston series brings the big bad evil to light. We get to see just how hateful people can be. I don’t normally compare, but this hatred that Alicia captured, is seen in the real world. it was written so well and shows that no matter what, love and kindness win. Luke has been hurt, but he has also caused the hurt. he finds his mate and wants to come to terms with that pain. His struggle was written to where you could feel his pain. My heart hurt for him. He is a strong apex predator who is a big ball of fury just wanting love. What he failed to realize, as he already had that unconditional love and acceptance, he was too blind to see it. You could feel the emotions warring within him. Watching each relationship with his siblings was unique and warmed your heart. The interaction with him and Riva. Yes Yes Yes !!! So excited and you aren’t left hanging. There is a resolution and it couldn’t have been more perfectly woven into this story.
Georgina is the girl that needs saving from herself and the big bad men. She will do anything to protect her son Grayson. As a mom of a 6-year-old, I could see so much of the same heart, grit, sleepless nights and unconditional love. I think she doesn’t realize her own strength.
The entire clan joins to defeat the big bad. This reunion was warm, but also powerful. I enjoyed how the tension was captured. The shifter emotions were written in a way you could feel them permeating off of the pages.
I have a feeling that not all of the big bad is gone, but we will have to wait and see what Alicia comes up with next. She did give us a hint as to the next one to find their mate. I cannot wait for that story to be realized.
If you like shifters, I recommend this series and story. I don’t think this one would be a good stand alone. There is a bit in this story, that might be lost if it is read first, or by itself. All that said, these stories are great! They all have their unique way for each to be mated. They grow throughout the story and aren’t the same.
A 5 pointe shoe read for me. Mainly because I’ve read it more than once AND I still get emotional!
Hear the Lion’s Roar!!!
I was so excited to read Luke’s story…he has always been the most intriguing character and I’ve loved his interactions within all the other books but I’ve wanted to know his background so bad and now here it is!!! Getting to know about what happened to his family and how he came to be adopted by the Lennox Family was a beautifully sad story so I’m glad that he didn’t have to fight to hard to win over Georgina and convince her she’s his mate! Although, getting to know Georgina’s background was very surprising and unexpected leading up to a very dramatic truth sharing session! I loved Luke and Georgina story and this was the first story that had me in an emotional overload!! Purr-fect!!!!
I knew Luke’s story would be outstanding and it was. Luke was a tortured soul and lost himself, as well as his birth family. Even though the Lennox’s adopted him and always treated him exactly like the rest of their children, he never felt like he was worthy. I loved this story and it was ironic that his mate, Georgina, was on the run from a bad past with her son, Grayson. I can’t express how much this story touched me. I loved it and I’m looking forward to the next Blackstone book. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
From the very beginning of the Blackstone Mountain series Luke has been a very mysterious, troubled and closed off character. In this story we find out what brought him to Blackstone all those years ago, without a memory or pride and in such a terrible state. Finding out what happened to him was heart-breaking. Luke has always seen himself as an outcast and out of control lion within a family of dragons and has pushed away his adopted family thinking he didn’t deserve them, but if anyone deserved to be loved its Luke.
Georgina is such a brave person, she escaped from a cult of hate that she didn’t believe in so that she could love her child. Reading about her being able to love her son, Grayson, so much when all she was brought up to do was hate was inspiring and beautiful.
Grayson was an amazing little boy who was brave and sweet and funny, even after everything that he had gone through.
Finding out who the chief is was a bit of a shocker (gender wise). Reading about so much hate makes you think about all the hate that is in the world today and it’s shocking to realise that there is hate in this world, but what this book helps you to remember is that good will always be fighting bad. All we have to do is believe and fight for love, equality and peace.
I really enjoyed this book in the end there was a lot of love and the last chapter had me in tears and there was a beautiful happy ending. You seriously won’t regret reading this book.I volunteered to read an ARC of this book and I was not obligated to leave this review.
Alicia doesn’t disappoint!
Once again Alicia Montgomery has taken us to Blackstone Mountain. Home to shifters of every kind, from Dragons to Lions (and yes) and tigers and bears. Oh My!. I enjoyed the plot and sub-plot of the Blackstone Lion. While it is every bit as romantic and steamy as its predecessors, this one held a special place in my heart. To feel that you are unworthy of love from the people who love you the most must be an awful feeling. To blame yourself for adolescent behaviors and have the ability to transform into the largest cat predator known to man must be daunting to say the least. I love that the mate chosen for Luke is Georgina. Her human heritage could well spell the death and destruction of everything he loves. I highly recommend this and every book in the Fated Mates series. If you haven’t read them, do yourself a favor and do so. I volunteered to read an advanced review copy of this book but purchased a hard copy for my personal library.
Luke rescues Georgina from a mad organization who has kidnapped her and her son. Upon meeting her, Luke quickly bolts and Georgina has no idea what just happened.
Luke was a complicated man. He has led a solitary life by his own choosing because of past anger issues that he wasn’t been able to let go of or ask forgiveness from.
Georgina is just tying to raise her shifter son the best way she can. Being a human, it makes it hard for her to understand some of the things her son is going through.
I really liked the two of these characters together. They both where what the other needed. They both just needed to let down their guard enough to let the other one in.
Love this series! I suggest reading from the first book in the series, since the characters continue throughout the series.. Luke has been a mystery throughout the series. So many questions will be answered about Luke. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
The Blackstone Lion: Blackstone Mountain Book 5
by Alicia Montgomery
I’m a big fan of Alicia Montgomery; her paranormal romance series, Blackstone Mountain series is wonderfully inventive and unique, it’s one of my favorites and I have enjoyed all of her books , I enjoyed The Blackstone Lion it’s just so amazing, as are all the books in this series, it’s as unique as all of her books in this serie. They all have a “WOW” factor that I’ve come to expect from Alicia Montgomery. It’s a very enjoyable read and I will definitely continue with the other books in the series. Blackstone Mountains series will always be on my top ten reads. I am really enjoying this second series by Alicia Montgomery.
Black Loin gives us some fantastic main characters with a surprising twist that will totally rock the series. Luke Lennox doesn’t feel his animal can handle loving a mate. But Georgina Mills has a bigger secret that will leads us to the Chief, and more specifically, the head of the Organization’s family. The entire Blackstone community, the parents and all of the family leads this mission. Luke finds out that Georgina is right in the thick of things, her son will help save the town but he doesn’t even know his mother’s secret or why the bad men have a reason to kill him. Luke and Georgina has an undeniable spark and begin to learn from each other about their respective lives. When they learn that Georgina is made to be apart of the attacked on Blackstone, but she gives Greyson the courage to shift into a bear cub and find help. I really enjoyed the world building in Blackstone Mountain series . Though many things followed familiar elements, Alicia always adds unique but interesting aspects to the worlds she creates, I really enjoyed descriptions of the different shifters corresponding to their different animals. The Blackstone Mountain is a place were shifters live rather safe from a lot of prejudice. The Dragons are the leaders but Luke is their adoptive son though he feels let them down. Blackstone dragons are very family oriented and it makes the community stronger and more lovable — great traits for a community to have. Luke is determined to find out about his pride as loin shifters are rare he thought that it would not take long and because of this he felt his parents are keeping things from him. But they only wanted to love and protect him. Georgina wanted to help him realize how much they love him. This makes the story more emotional and Georgina is able to show Luke she can help him and his lion to become more stable and even-tempered. In this story the only drawback is that she couldn’t tell him her secret because she felt he would feel betrayed. I can imagine this could be both physically and psychologically difficult for her. But their chemistry is off the chart hot, and Oh my their romance is so hot and steamy and just downright sexy. I found them more interesting of the couples because of Luke struggles to fit in because he is a lion with a family of Dragons and his lion was very restless before he found his mate, plus his lion is a alpha but the twins dragons are raised to be Alpha that’s probably the reason his Lion didn’t let him sleep until his mate came along, that’s all questionable. There is an interesting dynamic between Luke and his family because of it and I really enjoyed seeing that play out. I still have some questions about the organization and I think that took away from Georgina character for me. I would have liked to see her explain her family involvement as Blackstone Mountain went on, but maybe that will come in time. The romance between the two came on fast, but it was also pushed by a lot of danger and conflict. I do think they fit together and have found something they were both missing previously. My favorite character in the story is Georgina son Greyson. I can’t wait for the next story and to learn more about the family abilities. All in all, Blackstone Mountain is a great series and unique. There is a lot more family who has to find their mate and the next two books with each of the sister’s stories which will introduced their mate to carry their own story. Blackstone Mountain is a series always full of hot steamy and exciting characters that gives us a lot of new insight into the world the organization are inhabiting. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Wowzer talk about an ending with epic proportions. TWIST and TURNS baby this last book for the Blackstone Mountains. It has you on the edge of your seat from the first page, there is Adventure, Survival, Fear, Jealousy, Betrayal,Suspense, Action Packed, Loyalty, Hate, Lust, Love oh yes it is
Wickedly Hot. Definitely a Must Read!
Georgina Mill is trying desperately to protect her Bear Cub from the Organization in there lab. When she is rescued by the Blackstones but more importantly a huge, vicious lion bites the evil doctor and freed many who were being tested on, from there cages. One of them happened to be Grayson her cub. Even though she was appreciative to the Blackstone’s saving her and Grayson she still had a secret she couldn’t reveal. She’s afraid that secret was gonna ruin everything for her and Grayson.
Luke Blackstone was a Lion Shifter who couldn’t sleep let alone control his lion( the chip on his shoulders is a mile long). So he did the nightly perimeter checks. Every night he let his lion lead and take control this is how he lived. When he found the lab and killed the doctor who was so much involved with the massacres of his race.
He saw her with a cub. He wasn’t good enough for her he didn’t need a Mate!
The last of the Lennox men, Luke, finds his mate during a rescue misssion but believes that she already has a mate, because she is mother to a young bear shifter cup.
Unable to resist, he keeps an eye on them and helps where he can.
Finding out she is unattached does not necessarily make the situation better, as Luke has to fight his inner demons.
Georgina, his human mate, has her own reasons to stay away and they get closer very reluctantly, but inevitable.
Both have to bring their demons to the light to find help from each other as well as their family and friends.
For a long time I had wondered, what kind of a mate Luke would have and I am definitely not disappointed. He needed someone fierce and no-nonsense, but at the same time the motherly type. I love Georgina for the way she complements Luke. I had received this book as an ARC and this is a voluntary review. In my mind, this may be Ms. Montgomery’s best match in this series yet.
Totally in LOVE with this series. I could not wait to read Luke story to see how Alicia would tame him. And boy did she pick the perfect mate in Georgina. And I loved little Grayson.
I was totally surprised with the reveal of who the chief was as well. I did not see that one coming at all. Such a great story. Thanks Alicia for another great book!!!
This is the Last one of the Blackstone Mountain books you can read this one alone but to get the whole story and all of the background story you need to read them all. I knew Luke story was going to pull at my heart and it did!! Alicia has a way to lay out her bread crumbs thru all her book so you can’t wait to get to the next one,Once again she didn’t disappoint me. Can wait to share for her next adventure.
I voluntarily read this ARC copy and giving a honest review.
The Blackstone Lion is the fifth book in the Blackstone Mountain Series and can stand alone, but definitely builds on the previous books. All that Luke knows is that his lion is going crazy, he has torn his family apart, and according to his lion, he found his mate. Georgina was recently rescued from an anti-shifter organization, she lives for her son, feels a pull towards Luke, but knows that at any moment, the Chief will find her again. As Luke and Georgina grow closer, so does the danger. Will Georgina lose everything at the hands of the Chief, or will she gain everything, including friendships and love?
Holy smokes, I have been waiting for this book since the series started, and it was amazing!! I loved Luke and Georgina, I loved Grayson, I loved the problems they faced, and I loved how everything ended! It was nice to see that they had differences, but they were similar where everything mattered. One brought strengths where the other had a weakness, and Grayson brought an element of innocent love and humor that really wrapped the whole story up. Obviously, I loved this book. I’m super excited to see where this series will go next and I highly recommend reading it!
Oh em gee!!!! Finally Luke’s story. Alicia did not disappoint with his and Georgina’s story.Oh the suspense with this one. Never even saw it coming.
Thrilling to the very last page.
I had been anxiously waiting for the enigma of Lennox family there just something about a slightly broken Alpha male that just draw you in. I have to say even though I loved Luke story I was a little bit disappointed at some of the content. I felt like some of the details could’ve been described better. I super enjoyable finally getting the backstory on why Luke was so distant with his family and to see him apologize to his parents was very heartfelt. Overall enjoyable and entertaining read full plenty of suspense, action, and of course steamy romance. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
I was so looking forward to this book but feel slightly let down due to some details that should have been better. I love a good shifter story but I also like it to be believable and make sense.
I was enjoying this even with the dishonesty angle until three quarters of the way in, when it just went sideways for me.
Loved learning more at long last about Luke and why he was the distant sibling. His teenage attitude was understandable and I loved that he apologised to his parents.
Luke has a right to his anger when he finds out the truth about Georgina but just rolls over and all is forgiven when he is told she had no choice. Really!
And he doesn’t kill The Chief or Adrian when they are in his paws. Just NO.
I hate dishonesty, even by omission and the heroine in this story is full of it.
I felt sorry for Georgina and her early life but after the truck incident, why didn’t Georgina just go and tell everyone or even someone the truth. She must have known who it was and that she would not get away from the Organisation without help.
Instead of thinking about betraying the people of Blackstone Mountain who had been so good to her without conditions.
Why did she have sex with Luke after he had just found about the decimation of his Pride, knowing what she did?
Just too much eye rolling annoyance for me to enjoy the crux of this story. The Chief was just a bit too over the top crazy for me to hate.
Loved the twist about the chief but why didn’t Georgina give them all more information? name, sex, something for them to look into. The others are at fault too as the first thing I would have asked was WHO is the Chief?
Not tidied up at the end either.
What happened after the baddies were arrested? it was like they were forgotten about. No explanation of anything.
If they have as much clout as they said they did, they will never go to court, let alone jail.
As much as I loved this story and the twist with The Chief, the big ending with The Organisation was a letdown for me.
Did like the little bit with Kate and Petros.
This is my honest review of this book.
