This book has it all drama, intrigue, strong characters, a great setting and of course love. Mates always recognise each other even if they don’t want to admit it. Jason and Christina try to deny their feelings but in the end they have to accept that they are meant to be. Another great book in the Blackstone Mountain series.
Jason is a playboy that makes me want to roll my eyes. It took a bit for me to warm up to him. I like Christina. I like that she can take care of herself! Once Jason gets his head out of his a** he becomes much more likable. Still felt a little fast in the wrap up of the story but overall a good read
Possessive Playboy Dragon
I totally love reading about shifters finding their mates and that instant connection they have just from being near the one they call Mate!! The best thing I love about Jason and Christina is their constant love hate banter they throw each other. It was great seeing Jason try to hold to his playboy ways but his dragon fighting him every step of the way!! And Christina is is the perfect heroine strong and a total badass and when she finally accepts the fact that she’s Jason’s mate she still makes him work for it!!
Great Read!!!!
This is Jason and Christina’s story. And what a story it is. From the very beginning I love this book. There is an instant attraction between them. Jason is in complete denial that Christina is his mate and making up all sorts of excuses. Jason is the more relaxed twin when compared to Matthew and Christina is the more of a straight laced powerful business woman. She just gives off this powerful u better not mess with me vibe and I loved it. She is such a strong character and a super secret badass. You would never know that she is a human living in a shifter world. Jason is just a so charming and sweet. They balance each other out perfectly. Christina’s quest for revenge could have ruined them but Jason fights for them and it is just amazing.
I can’t wait for Ben and Penny’s book.
My question is will the Stavros brothers be better their own series because there is a lot of potential there. Rich, hot, Greek secret agent brothers, whats not to love xxx
I am so enamored of the Blackstone Dragons! Catherine has met her mate in Book 1. Now her twin, Christina, has found out the truth of the old family saying that if you can tell Blackstone Dragon twins apart, then you are the true mate of one of them. Good dragons, bad humans, sexy bears! Oh my!. I’m ready to move to Blackstone mountain. Pack your gear and come with me. Our mate just might be waiting for us on the mountain. Did I mention handsome Greek Wolf shifters? Yeah. All that.
“I volunteered to read an advanced review copy of this book”.
We have already established my love of dragons so its only natural that I read the second installment in Alicia’s series. It has dragons, lions, bears, and wolves (oh my) LOL. One thing I’ve enjoyed so far is even though Matthew & Jason and Catherine & Christina are twins, they are uniquely them. I like the banter in this story along with the push and pull. There is a uniqueness so that even though everyone is finding a mate, it is individualized and never the same. Even from her previous series.
This story was a cute read for me. I found the stubbornness of both characters to be funny at times. Other times, you wanted to smack their heads together. Jason and Christina are definitely the twins that want to deny, deny, deny. They fought till the end neither one wanting to admit the truth.
Jason was the more outgoing twin. He was the one to cause trouble. That said, I liked how he would do anything for his brother, no questions asked. When the one thing he’s asked to do leads him to find his mate, he freaks. I had to chuckle at Jason’s dialogue with his dragon. It was like he kept giving pep talks as to why a mate was a BAD idea. When he finally pulled his head from his rear, he fought to win his mate’s heart.
Christina is definitely the stubborn sister. She has an agenda and refuses to let a mate stop her. I liked how her vulnerability was captured. She was guarded and scared. When she learned the truth, how she reacted, reflected her stubborn traits. I liked how different she was, yet how similar she and Catherine were. There are also so many secrets she refuses to tell. I feel like Christina’s job was her rebellion from growing up like she did. When revenge becomes something she can taste, she will have an internal war going on. One thing I would have like to have more clarity on was did her sister know or not? I’m assuming so, but I was confused if she did.
There is a beautiful way of mating the lovebirds in this series. I like it A LOT! It’s the first dragon series I’ve read that has them mate in this way. KUDOS for originality.
Overall this one has more humor and stubbornness than the first. There is also a clear development of a larger plot that will unfold during this series (well I hope it will). It has me anxious to see how it all plays out. It was a fun read for me and wasn’t as suspenseful. I like that it broke up some of the tension with humor. Their reluctance and unyielding ability to accept each other as mates made for a fun read for me.
So sad to say the H’s disappointed me but the background story is getting interesting.
A great background story happening but it was left too late for Jason to redeem himself to me.
Not impressed with Jason. Dislike manwhore/players like him as hero’s and he did nothing to redeem himself. First off, not listening to his dragon and even when he realised they were mates, he basically used another woman and took her out, then tried to get it on with Christina at the same time. Then gets annoyed because she calls him out on being a player, which he can’t deny.
He was just a moron who kept compounding his mistakes. How he treated Christina after the wedding was abysmal.
Once he accepts Christina as his mate he chases after her.
I thought Christina would improve from being aloof to friendly but she never seems to warm up to me and her actions with allowing Jason into her bed but not her life were understandable but not likeable.
With her training I at least expected her to clock him one before letting him in the door.
Great background storyline though. The anti-shifter group is turning out to be bigger and more powerful than first believed.
Love having the Lykos pack coming in and being a bigger part of this. Some of those boys sound hot.
To sum this up I really didn’t care whether they mated or not as it was too far into the book before Jason got his head on straight and they got their acts together.
Will be reading the next book though as I have a soft spot for Ben and it seems Penny has a story to be told.
I must say that this series just keep getting better and better. I have to say that I loved Jason’s action with certain situations, which I won’t say since I don’t give spoilers. You’ll have to check it out for yourself to see what I’m talking about. But I didn’t like all the back and forth between Jason and Christina. I mean it’s a privilege and a honor to find your true mate and the whole book is base on the shifer finding their true mate so I didn’t understand why they were fighting it so hard. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

What GREAT opening for another series.
Gosh I love this book this whole series too.
It has you on the edge of your seat from the first page, to the last page. Most definitely a page turner and the Action.. Wowzer!!!
Christina Stavros aka: Chrissy, Chris is human plus Catherine ‘s twin. She also has a secret. Going to Blackstone Castle for Catherine’s wedding was going to be a happy occasion seeing Jason again not so much. No matter how many times Christina avoided or turned around she wants to throw herself at Jason and have her way with him.
Jason Lennox is a Dragon Shifter and a womanizer. His dragon was driving him crazy, always saying mine, mine, mine and There is no way what so ever was he going to have a mate. Nada, Zilch, No Way In Hell. Maybe one night would be nice..
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
