Olivia Blanchard is left homeless and destitute when a sudden fire at her ranch takes everything. Joe Stanton, the town blacksmith, has been under increasing pressure to marry the woman his overbearing mother and aunt have chosen for him. He’d rather find his own wife, and decides that a mail-order bride sounds like a better option.
When he sees beautiful Olivia, covered in dirt and soot, and … soot, and understands her situation, marriage seems like the perfect solution for both of them. His mother however, does not agree, and Olivia can’t seem to please her, no matter how hard she tries. Can they find a way to make things work?

The content of the book seems to be interesting, however, there are problems with the electronic page turning. It keeps skipping the first page of each chapter. I have to back up and advance repeatedly to find the correct page.
A nice light-weight book set in Arizona’s old west. Not much plot but easy to read.
Was just ok. Male lead was kind of wimpy.
It was pretty gods , but wondered why the lead character just forgot about the livestock left on her farm after the fire??? Chickens , horses ( these wee mentioned). … and what about where the base for the smoke ham business? Sows or buyer?
kind of boring
While it was an enjoyable book, she really isn’t a mail-order bride and the fact that her property was stolen and burned down was so obvious, I have no idea how the various characters could miss it. Especially after several other attempts to take her stock from from her. It seemed poorly planned out by the author.
Plot was okay. Not a great page Turner but if you like easy to read plots, this is a good book for you
Very predictable. Story is at a 3rd grade level.
The story line was good however the time line was skewed.
Book starts out okay but there are a few plot points which are not fully developed and do not resolve.
Nice story where a man defies his mother for the woman he loves. Easy read
characters good. Should be a series.
I like ever must
God read. Easy read.
