Olivia Blanchard is left homeless and destitute when a sudden fire at her ranch takes everything. Joe Stanton, the town blacksmith, has been under increasing pressure to marry the woman his overbearing mother and aunt have chosen for him. He’d rather find his own wife, and decides that a mail-order bride sounds like a better option.
When he sees beautiful Olivia, covered in dirt and soot, and … soot, and understands her situation, marriage seems like the perfect solution for both of them. His mother however, does not agree, and Olivia can’t seem to please her, no matter how hard she tries. Can they find a way to make things work?

Wholesome
I loved all the books in this series
Another fast and easy read!
Good book, I like the independent nature of the female lead. A little annoyed that she don’t consider why the wagon was leaving her ranch after the tragedy (will leave it at that to avoid spoilers)
A sweet story with believable characters from the time period. Loved how the story developed and the ending.
Real life situations. Twists. Female roles interesting
Love to read stories of women’s life in other time periods….makes for comparisons between then and now.
Very sweet read. If you want a romantic read without crude sexual language or curse words, this is this book for you. Still provides wonderful story and happily ever after feeling.
I loved this story!
