Calling on Quinn is a sweet and sexy romantic suspense novel. This is a terrific tale of a sexy ginger haired private investigator with an Irish brogue and a bit of OCD and a smart, tough pixie of a driving instructor. This is a fast paced, high energy story that will keep you flipping pages and wanting more.
Wow! This is my first read by this author and it won’t be my last! The feels for this book, awwwww just the feels for Quinn are beyond explanation. I FREAKING LOVED IT!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO….Just so amazingly awesome. Quinn is the right type of man, who is always right on time and loves you so hard, you can’t help but fall for him and that is what Alicia did. Alicia had her own hardships and I am glad, though a bit resistant at first, she did not let those emotions take over. In the end, she is able to be the person she wants to be with him and their love is solid and everlasting. This book is filled with 4 brothers who after a tragedy, befalls their sister, pull their reins in tight and fight to find out who attempted to murder her. I love the brothers, Kevin, Shane, and Trenton and cannot wait for their books. However, Quinn has stolen my heart, what a perfect mate! There is still a bit of suspense left at the end and it looks like Kevin’s book is next. I CANNOT WAIT! 5 WONDERFUL, AWESOME, LIST NEEDING STARS*****
Adoration of an Alpha Male:
First in the series, this book introduces a rowdy, yet close and loving Irish American family. Quinn is the oldest of the siblings and makes it his job to find solutions and protect those whom he loves. He soon sets his sights on Alicia and pursues her with dogged determination. However Alicia has been hurt in the past and she has difficulty trusting and opening herself up to love again. The plot was well paced and liked the anticipation and slow burn. Things soon heat up though and turn scorching hot.
There was also an element of suspense and intrigue which kept me interested and guessing. However the novel focused more on the relationship aspect and facts regarding the investigation were just inserted every now and then rather than drawing a clear and systematic trail for the reader to follow. Whilst it could be read as a standalone, the investigation into the attack is not resolved and looks to be something that will be followed up on throughout the series. I can’t wait now to read the next books to see what happens and also to learn more about these sexy Irish lads and the ladies who capture their hearts.
Despite all the positives, one thing that I didn’t like and thought was rude and disrespectful was the way one of Alicia’s best friends called her ‘heifer’.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
Wow!!! If I could insert an emoji right here it would be the huge eyed one with the mouth wide open… you know the one wide enough for Quinn’s… lol. I absolutely LOVED Quinn and Alicia’s story. Blue Saffire sucked me in with her incredible words. Quinn is a private investigator, who stopped at nothing when it came to the pursuit of Alicia, once they met. Their chemistry was INSANE. Quinn was direct and consistent… swoon! Don’t you just love a man that is sure about what he wants and will go after it.
The Blackhart family is Irish and Quinn is the oldest son. “I want to taste ya, love.” I can just imagine hearing his delicious accent. Quinn’s loyalty and dependability towards his family was endearing. Alicia has suffered loss and is a strong woman coming into her own again. Her best friends Tari and Aiden were hilarious in their support of their friend. I was hooked on this story from the beginning, so much so that by midpoint, I had to jump in Blue’s inbox and give her all the praise.
I loved the closeness within the Blackhart family. The secondary characters will make you love this story even more, especially Quinn’s witty mother Renny. We meet Quinn’s brothers: Kevin, Trent, and Shane. Ach I look forward to the stories on those sexy brothers of his (said in my Irish accent lol). Let me tell you, I know right now this is the beginning of a legendary series. Each brother is assisting with an ongoing case that is threatening the Blackhart family, giving this story a suspenseful element that I loved.
Blue Saffire is the Queen of world-building. I was overjoyed that this exquisite story is going to also be on audio, as I want all versions of Blue’s words. “Don’t hold back. Give me what I’m craving. I want it all.” Yassss you’re going to want to hear those words, in that sexy accent, on audio. I’m addicted to Blue Saffire’s artistry. Experience the Blue Magic for yourself. Begin this epic series NOW!!!
Received an ARC of this book through NetGalley. I voluntarily read and reviewed this story. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The story was ok but something was missing. Quinns issue wasn’t an issue enough. They seem to have left their story unresolved. I needed more.
So far all of the Blue Saffire books I’ve read I’ve enjoyed and this one was no different. I enjoyed the story line and how the author incorporated the support characters. Everyone played a good part and didn’t seem to be in the book just as a place holder.
so I get this book because was intrigued with the blurb, and I kept thinking I have to get to it and I see all of these 5 star reviews in goodreads so here I am excited and then I start, and kept saying is this the same book that got all of those stars? So I go back to goodreads and yup all those stars are there, and I go to the front of the book and yup I am reading the right book, let me read some more it has to get better right? Well I wont give it a 2 star I dont think its as bad for a 2 star but it definitely will not get a more than 3. I found it ridiculous, Alicia annoyed the hell out of me, I mean I get you got out of an abusive relationship and yes he may not have beat you but he did put you down, and yes your bestie the person you knew the longest betrayed you. But as I continued to read she didn’t break up with her fiance recently it was a year ago, so when she kept letting that hold her back, I was questioning it right along with her friend Tari and Aiden, we didn’t get it, I also didn’t get why Quinn even bothered with her. And, it wasn’t like she didn’t have clues to her bestie, apparently before her mom died she warned her, and Tari and Aiden who also grew up with them didn’t like her, so why was she blindsided?..So the book ends in a cliffhanger, and yes I got to the end of the book, I mean have you ever read a book that you kept saying it’ll get better but it doesn’t, yeah that was me with this book, so do I care what the heck happens with the rest of the story and Blackheart? Hell to the no, I am getting off of this ride.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Quinn is a man set in his ways. The main thing that keeps him sain is his list-making and sticking to them. Coming from a large Irish family, he knows what it means to protect his family. When he takes his niece for a driving lesson, the instructor has Quinn all tongue-tied and he wants to get to know her. But when she puts him in his place, this just makes Quinn more interested in knowing her.
Alicia is having a bad day but when she shows up late for her driving lesson with Mckenna, she didn’t expect the gorgeous man to step out of the car. Quinn has her flustered for a minute until she catches herself and puts him in his place. She thinks she will never see him again but he keeps coming back in her dreams.
Can Quinn win Alicia over? Will Quinn with all his protectiveness be too much for Alicia? Can Quinn keep her and his family safe? Who is after Alicia and who hurt his sister?
This is a first for me from this author and I liked it and can’t wait to see what happens with the next brother. If you like good romantic suspense, then this one is for you.
