All five Black Stiletto books in one stunning sagaThis USA Today and New York Times best-selling five-book saga tells the entire amazing story of Judy Cooper, the famed Black Stiletto of vigilante fame. The story is told by Martin Talbot, the Stiletto’s son, in the words of the Stiletto herself through her diaries. Martin does not discover these diaries until his mother, suffering from Alzheimer … his mother, suffering from Alzheimer Disease, is confined to a nursing home. Imagine his utter shock when he realizes that his mother’s diaries—and other revealing discoveries—bring the Black Stiletto’s—his mother’s—past into the present.
This awe-inspiring five-book saga takes the reader through the parallel lives of Judy today and the young masked crime stopper from the 1950’s and ’60’s. From New York to Los Angeles to Texas, Judy—the Stiletto—is a hero to the public, but a hunted enemy of law enforcement and criminals, including the Mafia. As she relentlessly fights for justice, her life is in constant danger. And that danger returns to the present to threaten Martin, his daughter, and Judy, herself.
The Black Stiletto Saga covers the entire story. The old Judy, the young Judy, and the Black Stiletto. All five books in one package: The Black Stiletto, The Black Stiletto: Black & White, The Black Stiletto: Stars & Stripes, The Black Stiletto: Secrets & Lies, and The Black Stiletto: Endings & Beginnings.

One of the best book sets that I have read in a while. The main character is flawed but that adds to the messages of the book. Some of the fight scenes are unbelievable, but I couldn’t put the books down and read them in three days. It is a tale of a middle-aged man trying to discover his mother’s (Who is now dying of alzheimers.) past life.
In general, I enjoyed the book. I felt it became rather draggy towards the end. It was full of action just as you would expect. However, I kept wondering how Leo’s story was added into the book, seemed a little left field.
Solid series with the characters pretty grounded in reality. Enjoyed the books. It was a little predictable, but it was worth my time.
Kind of like the LA Meyer’s Jackie books, this becomes rote formula.
I like the books, except for the action scenes of the Black Stiletto, since this is a major component of the books I had to give it no more than two stars. The other characters were well developed and held my interest. I actually started skimming through the action scenes. I may be missing the boat because I am not a reader of comic books and the Black Stiletto was more of a comic book character than anything else. The woman, as self-described in her diaries, was interesting.
Got bored with it, did not finish.
A trite, formulaic novel that was far too easy to put down–and forget. Not worth the time to read.
Is this a YA with a social justice rhetoric tossed in between ‘adventures’ and vieled sex or is this a a social manifesto with some silly action and sex to lighten the tone.
Either way it is a failure. But I admit, I made it only half way and did not skip to the end to learn how it ends.
The disappointment level is based on this being less about a Silver Age Female Superhero’s life, and more about all the trauma, sexual assault, slut-shaming, and so on that she had to put up with.
It’s realistic, but forgot to give me a reason to keep reading it….
Great story
I took a chance on this saga, and was glad I did. A bit of super-hero and vigilante. Loved her personal story.
Very interesting book. Was nice that had past as well as future. So many times parents keep secrets from their children, but this was a real surprise.
great story, decent writing
These were among the best books I have ever read. I couldn’t put them down until I had read the last page of the last book!!!!!!!!! Wish there would be a sequel with the Stiletto’s granddaughter!!!!!!!
An easy read that will keep you entertained along the way!
LOVED this book !
For me the hopping around from past to present made it jerky reading. Intro should be present to set stage… Go thru the diary… Then end with present for closure.. I know everyone is a critic… Sorry.
This was a good set. Every once in a while I need to escape into one of these fictions. This sucked me in and held me. I had the Nook in my lap at work, computer mouse frozen long enough for the screen to go to sleep.
