From the author of the number #1 bestselling book, OPAL FIRE, comes a brand new spellbinding trilogy inspired by fairy tale characters.
These are not the mild-mannered maidens of your childhood. These are fallen princesses and fierce women with no recollection of who they are, where they came from, or how they arrived in a mysterious town called Everafter. All they know is that they’ve been … is that they’ve been sentenced to a stretch in a half-way house by a malicious judge with an ax to grind. They’ve been stripped of their freedom, their kingdoms, and their true loves. Now, they have nothing left to lose.
Snow White is the newest parolee to arrive at Granny’s House for Girls. It isn’t long before she learns that her housemates harbor secrets, and that the mansion itself is a meandering enigma. She stumbles upon forbidden doorways, ghostly passages, and walls that seem to breathe. Determined to find out what’s really happening inside those old walls, Snow embarks on a dangerous discovery mission. Not everyone is thrilled about her nosing around. In fact, there are some who would kill to keep the secrets that the house — and its occupants — hold.

Oh, how fun this book is! All of our favorite Disney princesses….. scratch that…. our GRIMM princesses together. And MY how they’ve changed. Delightful story from start to finish. Looking forward to book 2!
This was a delightful mash-up of the fairy tale princesses and the adventures that can befall them when spells are cast. A really easy and entertaining read. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment.
I thought the story line was creative, and I really wanted to know what was going to happen to the characters. I didn’t like the way it ended; I felt it was too abrupt and it didn’t really leave me wanting to read the next one. Also, the characters were not really likable.
I love the way the author bases her characters on the Disney princesses. She has you remembering the stories of your youth. I couldn’t put it down. Read it in 2 sittings. Even lol a few times. Definitely recommend. Can’t wait to read the next part.
Retelling Fairy Tales is a tough undertaking for any author. What can they do to make it different? This book delivers! The story is engaging and the characters have depth. It is also very funny and entertaining. I cannot wait to read the next in this series.
Worth the time to read
Great spin on the characters
Amusing twists on our favorite fairy tales. Some very good characterization. However, the plot is a bit less of a draw.
It had me laughing.
Loved the twist on these characters! Great series!
This kept my attention and that is hard to do. Was good read
I loved all the twist of background on each character.
Boring, repetitive, slow moving. I couldn’t even finish it. They could have done so much with this idea
once i got the idea, i skipped a lot, then i had to sometimes go back cuz i missed something. basically, it was a different and fun twist of fairy tale princesses and the like
New spin on fairy tale characters. Held my interest but…this is only one half of the story. You have to read book 2 to see how it ends…book 3 continues the story but features another character….anyway…good story but plan reading both books 1 and 2
Reading childhood favorites with potty mouths is actually addictive. The book had me at the dedication n foreword.
Its LOTS more fun when you get to see the darker side of “good” girls.
Slow starter but laugh out loud funny at times. Unexpected finds
A little hard to engage with the characters but a quick read
The Bitches of Everafter is a very, very clever read. The beginning was a bit slow as I tried to figure out who was who, what was what. I’m glad I stayed the course as it got “curiouser and curiouser” after the first chapter. Worth the time and I look forward to the next one. I think there will be a next one.
