I absolutely love this book from page one through the end. Really beautiful inspirational story.
I loved this book. Was a nice change from the normal love stories.
Great read! Couldn’t put it down.
Enjoyed.
Absolutely excellent, excellent story. Loved every minute of this book.
I really enjoyed this book. A different beautiful love story.
Beautifully written story with very real characters you’ll immediately love. I’m hoping the author carried the thoughts and wrote some of the other characters stories. I’ve found a new favorite author!
I enjoyed this book because it was a little different.
Great writing, read it all in one sitting, couldnt put it down
The Birthday List had me hooked from the very first page. This is such an emotional and romantic story. I cried and laughed throughout Poppy and Cole’s journey together. This a definite must read!
Written very well
I young widow decides to finish her husbands bucket list so she can move on. It’s been five years and a new /old friend helps.
I recently finished the authors’s Lark Cove Series. I did not want it to end….Does it have to?
I was thrilled to find The Birthday List on Amazon as a promotion. I clicked immediately. This is a book to savor as one would sip a fine wine or well-aged taste of scotch. I dove in immediately and began to get acquainted with the well-developed characters and their personalities. Ms. Perry is talented and has described the State of Montana so vividly that I long to go there to see it through my own eyes. I am taking this one very slow. The premise is great….and I want to absorb the characters, the landscape, the passion and the book’s heart
Great!
A truly fascinating and endearing read. Poppy taking the time to complete her deceased husband’s birthday list, leads to her actually starting to live life again. Cole, the police officer that delivered the bad news to her five years ago is back in her life and the man of her future. Their journey is topsy-turvy and sweet as he helps her complete the list.
Dynamite combination of strong yet vulnerable main character and totally sexy secondary character. Wow!
I LOVED this book!!
I got this book when it was free for a limited time. When I started it, I had my reservations about it. I was afraid that it would be a bit too sad but I couldn’t have been more wrong!! Yes, this book is emotional and you feel the pain of Poppy of loving her husband but this story was also filled with hope, love and finding your way back after loving someone you love. ‘The birthday list’ was a story about letting go of the past and finding the strength to open your heart again to someone new. And I loved every second of it!! I’m really glad that I took a chance with this story.
‘The birthday list’ is told in both POV’s and is really a slow burn romance story. The writer really took the time for the relationship between Poppy and Cole to blossom and I was grateful for that. But that didn’t mean that the story was boring. No! There was a lot happening in the story, especially with the things that they had to do for the birthday list. I liked Poppy’s and Cole’s character very much. I loved that Cole respected Poppy’s feelings and really supported her in everything.
In the background we also got little pieces of Poppy’s brother Finn and his ex-wife (who is also Poppy’s best friend) Molly’s story. I liked that too. I’m already looking forward to the next book that will be about Molly and ??
Wow! Just Wow! Not my typical read, but after checking prior reviews decided to give this a try. Boy were the reviews correct. This is a great read, and the resolution was not as expected. I really enjoyed the time spent with Poppy, Cole and friends (especially Jimmy) Thanks Devney.
Omg in light of a tragic beginning this book is such an amazing journey for a young woman learning to live after a shocking change in her life. I just loved it beginning to end. Must Read for 2018
The Birthday List by Denver Perry was a phenomenal read!
I have read and loved every single novel written by Devney. This novel is another one of those. As soon as I heard that Devney was writing another novel, I knew that it was going to be one that I had to bump up to the top of my TBR pile. That is exactly what I did, and I am so glad.
Poppy has gone through so much within her life, that you can’t help but become invested in her storyline. You want her to get her happily ever after, and when Cole enters the picture, your heart will soar.
I loved every single element of this novel. I am desperate to add it to my paperback collection. It is one of those stories that needs to be read over and over again!
5/5 Stars!
