Vane McClellan is all business. He might come from money, but he’s worked hard to make his architecture firm one of the top in the country. But things have slammed to a halt in the wake of becoming guardian to Annabelle, his late cousin’s daughter. Vane fears Annabelle may need more than he can give her. Maggie Stewart, Annabelle’s teacher, cares deeply for her students but likes to live … live footloose and fancy free. She’s about to move—again—but not before she gets Annabelle settled. They’ve grown close since the girl joined her class, and now Maggie has one final job: drop Annabelle off at Vane’s summer home.
When Maggie gets stranded at Vane’s vacation home, she gets a chance to see Vane vulnerable. The sight of a strong man doing his best in the face of new fatherhood melts her heart. When he asks her to stay and nanny Annabelle for the summer, Maggie agrees in hopes that she’ll be able to teach Vane how to be a father before her new job starts. Vane is happy to have someone he trusts to shepherd his young ward. As the three begin to become a family and Vane and Maggie give in to the passion that’s plagued them from day one, they’ll let themselves be something both have feared for a long time: happy. But when summer comes to an end, Vane and Maggie will have to decide if they want to follow their hearts…or their plans.

A short and emotional romance.
Maggie agrees to help watch Vane’s niece, Annabelle until he can hire a new nanny to replace the one who fell through at the last minute. It works for Maggie because she has the summer off as a teacher and gives her an adventure before she’s supposed to head up to Alaska for her new teaching position. What she doesn’t count on is falling in love with Vane and Annabelle. Especially since she was raised to never settle down… or was she?
This is the third book in the McClellan Billionaires series and can easily be read as a standalone.

Vane told Maggie he was taken to his house that he was renovating. Maggie winds up being Annabelle’s nanny but she told Vane it had an expiration date. Maggie was scheduled move to Alaska to teach. Vane tries to stop thinking about Maggie he was her boss and Annabelle’s nanny. Maggie and Vane get together but she still was going to leave. The morning she gets to leave she runs into Vane and instead of him saying he would like her stay he just talked about how she was good for Annabelle. Maggie set her friend up to be the new nanny. Will Maggie leave for Alaska?
Vane and Maggie had literally been looking for each other their entire lives. Even so, their journey to a HEA was still rocky. Good character development and interesting story. Good read!

This author has once again produced a wonderfully written and interesting book. Maggie and Vane have instant chemistry but are both afraid of being hurt and hurting the person they both love – Annabelle. This is a lovely story that was a pleasure to read.

I enjoyed The Billionaire’s Ward. It kept my attention and the characters were interesting. As always, the passion usually found in Leslie North’s books is spot on. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Vane was given custody of his late cousins daughter Annabelle. Maggie is Annabelle’s teacher Vane asked Maggie if she could drop Annabelle off at his vacation home, weather was not good and Maggie could not leave so Vane asked if she could stay and show how to care for a young child.

Okay but not what I expected
So for me this story was a mix. I liked the story-line itself of an uncle becoming the guardian for his niece as his sister dies. He struggles with taking care of her and because of that he hires her teacher to be her nanny for the summer. Of course they have an instant attraction to each other and soon become involved which ends up with the three of them as a family. The characters of Van and his niece Annabelle were nice to read as they each tried to navigate a new relationship between them. However, Maggie, the teacher turned nanny, just did not connect for me. As a result I found that the book was slow and dragged on in spots so I was skimming parts of this book, which is totally not a normal when I read a Leslie North story.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This is the third book of the series and the best of the three. The author never disappoints but the characters in this book are outstanding. The plot and romance are well thought out and worked through so that you will keep turning the pages to see what comes next.
I think the books from Leslie North are all equally wonderful. The build-up to a romance, a real story and not just sex. (although I always like to read it again …… she writes them so well!) Like his 2 brothers, he is not really looking for love but he still finds it. In Vane’s case, this love comes in the form of Maggie. She is the teacher of his niece Annabella whom he has been given custody of. Due to a storm, Maggie cannot leave and if it turns out that Annabella does respond very well to her, he decides to ask her to stay as the nanny. While they take care together to help Annabella through her trauma (the sadness she now bears as she is orphaned), Vane and Maggie grow together. Both of them do not dare to express their feelings and that would almost lead to a break. I love happy endings and they are happy. A wonderful story to read, highly recommended
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

*Spoliers*
This was my favorite book from the McClellan Brothers. It touched my heart. I feel sad for little Annabelle, and what she was going through from the lost of her parents to her emotional situations. I’m glad her uncle, Vane, and her teacher, Maggie, were there for her. I cannot describe about the love connection between avane and Maggie. Their chemistry was romantic, loving and emotional. My favorite part of the story was the ending and the epilogue. You won’t regret reading this book. I’ll recommend this book to anyone.

A heartwarming journey filled with interesting charters, witty banter, a sweet little girl and slow simmering passion… was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this heart string pulling (in the best ways) journey.
I need more than 5 stars when rating Leslie’s books. Fantastically written, wonderful characters, and a story line that pulls you in. Next we have Maggie, Annabelle’s teacher, She’s ready to move, again, but first will make sure Annabelle is settled at Vane’s home. She witnesses Vane doing his best to be a “father” to Annabelle her heart melts. Vane asks Maggie to stay and be Annabelle’s nanny for the summer so Maggie agrees with the hope of teaching Vane how to be a father. Will this time together being a “family” lead to romance and a happily ever after for everyone? Grab your copy today, you won’t be disappointed.
