When my manager assigns me the task of finding a new wake up call service for our CEO, I think, how hard can this be?Answer: practically impossible. It turns out that no wake-up call company in the world will take him on as a client. They’ve all had enough of his surly personality. So in an effort not to lose my job, I secretly start making the calls myself, every day at 4:30 am sharp. OMG yes you … sharp. OMG yes you read that right–four freaking thirty in the morning.
Confession: I’m not the nicest wake-up-call girl at that hour. Hello! Who wakes up before the roosters are even crowing? Luckily he doesn’t seem to mind my get-your-ass-out-of-bed attitude.
Day by day we’re becoming closer, and the calls start turning hot, like pay-by-the-minute hot and oh-so-wild. Snuggled under the covers with the moonlight streaming in the windows, we divulge our secrets to each other, but the one thing that he can never find out is that the sexy vixen who wakes him up every morning is just the lowly assistant who wears frumpy dresses. I can only imagine his disappointment.
Now he wants to take me out on a date and he’s scouring Manhattan to find me. He’s an overachieving billionaire bent on a mission. How much longer can I keep up this charade?

Let just say you get the chance (with no repercussions) to tell some one how you feel…Priceless, right? Or in Lizzie’s case- EPIC! Life altering epicness. In a calamity of coincidence/desperation, Lizzie finds herself making calls at 4:30. AM. That’s A-M. 4:30 AM. Ugh! But it’s not even really her job…
Talk about a spiral out of control! Between her diarrhea of the mouth and the rage, it can’t possibly end well. And yet…every thing maybe be on a spiral, but whose to say it’s downward?
This wildly entertaining book with the smirk inducing name is everything that title means and more! Join Lizzie and Theo’s morning calls and find yourself wishing for a little wake up call of your own#

This book exceeded all my expectations. In fact I really wasn’t expecting to love this book quite as much as I did.
This is the story of Lizzie Cooper and Theo Drummond’s journey to a happy ending. I wasn’t sure if this was meant to be a comedy romance or not. I’m pretty sure it is. But whilst I didn’t have huge laugh out loud moments I did find this book very light hearted and totally endearing. I think I permanently had a smile on my face the entire time.
I’m not going to mention the details of the storyline too much, as I feel that the synopsis pretty much sums up this book. I have to say though that Lizzie behind the phone to Theo was way more sassy to begin with and I loved how Phone Lizzie held nothing back.
Theo was an unusual character for me. Initially I had him down as a bit of a reclusive scientist/CEO which was something I had never really come across in a romance book before, however his hotness was definitely familiar and his character just grew and grew for me, the more interaction he had with Lizzie. He had never had anyone speak to him quite like she did.
This then brings me onto Sasha. She’s your typical female antagonist. In other words she’s a bit of a nasty piece of work. But I’ve made it no secret in the past that I do love a good fictional baddie.
Since reading this book it has come to my attention that there is a link to another one of Annika’s books (Most Eligible Billionaire), however it is my understanding that both of these are completely standalone.
Having read only Annika’s, Dangerous Royals series prior to this book, I have to say I really feel Annika has matured immensely as a writer. And that’s not to say I didn’t love her previous work, just that I think her talent has grown massively. All in all this is definitely a book and an author I would recommend to anyone wanting to discover someone or something new.
I LOVED this book!!! You need to read it!!!!
Lizzie Cooper is sweet, funny and confident. She is trying to recover from a financial situation. She is strong and independent. Lizzie lands a job at Vossameer Inc. and will get a large sign on bonus after thirty days of employment. This is vital to her current financial situation.
Theo Drummond, CEO of Vossameer Inc., is a crazy-smart scientist. He’s observant and yet oblivious. He is also a control freak. Gruff and reclusive, he never shows anyone the real him hidden behind formulas and lab coats.
“…this is the control freak responsible for the stern and joyless workplace that is Vossameer.”
Lizzie’s boss gives her the task of finding a new wakeup call service for Theo. How hard can that be?
“Answer: practically impossible. It turns out that no wake-up call company in the world will take him on as a client. They’ve all had enough of his surly personality.”
Desperate, Lizzie decides to do the wakeup calls herself. She needs her job and doesn’t want to disappoint her boss. What ensues is hilarious! With a little coaching from her roommate Mia, Lizzie makes her first “unorthodox” wake-up call. Lizzie’s no-nonsense calls do not go unnoticed by Theo. After all, no one wants to upset the very serious Mr. Drummond! But he finds it refreshing and new to have someone stand up to him.
“His hotness has its own force. It has its own gravity. It has its own zip code, miles past the neighborhood of stop staring and deep in the religious-experience-of-beauty zone.”
The chemistry between Lizzie and Theo was great! The phone calls – hilarious and then HOT! Smoking HOT! Things get crazy! But Lizzie and Theo also develop a connection over the phone, one that blooms into more….
“This woman. I need more of her. I need to know her.”
What an unexpected, delicious, sexy surprise! Annika Martin is a new-to-me author. I really enjoyed this book! At times I was even laughing out loud. Lizzie and Theo are so well written. The story was fun and interesting with a bit of an emotional side to it. It kept me turning the pages! I also loved Lizzie’s best friend, Mia. There were a lot of fun moments with her and Lizzie. I look forward to reading more from Annika Martin!
“Wake up, motherfucker,” “It’s time to rise and shine, okay?”
4.5 motherfucking calls!

All she wanted and needed was a job. And now she got a job…where everyone worships their boss, but also fears him. But then the job description changed…
I thought it was hilarious, mabye too much at times. I liked the chemistry between the main characters. It was witty, sassy and quirky. Which is what I associate with this author!
Following a series connecting disasters involving an ex boyfriend and her beloved bakery and some loan sharks. Lizzie finds herself in dire straights, having signed up to work on a social media project for a big pharmaceutical company to earn a hefty bonus and keep her and her room mates knees intact.
The problem is to qualify for the MUCH needed bonus that will cover the debt, Lizzie needs to not get fired…so with a boss that doesn’t like her, blames her for everything that goes wrong and takes all the credit..this is gonna test Lizzie’s skills to the max.
Especially when it comes to curbing her sassy comments around the ‘oh so serious’ and ‘ultra bad boy’ CEO and Mega Brain that is Theo Drummond….
so when her boss comes to her with a new demand, for a wake up call, for Mr Drummond..( who has somehow upset every wake up service) ….and very limited options….some how Lizzie finds herself with an additional job role… The Billionaire’s Wake-Up-Call Girl
This was my first Annika Martin book. I am happy to report that this book gripped me from the start, as a RomCom I was expecting and happy to report, that there were lots of laughs and funny moments.
I was however, not expecting to find it was also a book about loss, as Lizzie had been through the emotional and physical wringer with her ex, wary and cautious about accepting anyone’s help. I actually felt my heart break a little for Theo’s heart ache or guilt #NO SPOILERS!!, it gave the book a wonderful emotional depth that balanced out the funnies whilst explaining why Theo was so serious, focused and sad.
The interaction and dialogue between Lizzie and her room mate was great, I loved the stitching!!! ( that will make total sense if you read the book ) and just brilliant between her and Theo, They had a wonderful chemistry and their developing relationship was fantastically crafted.
This book was..simply put a great read and I will be reading more by this author.
Atention everyone !!! If You don’t want to feel embarrased …don’t read this book in public places
I love rom- com but this book was my first meeting with Annika Martin. In the past I saw here and there her name, and maybe some covers books of her also stick out in my eyes. But I didin’t give her chance … what a shame for me… now I know that living without Annika’s books was very, very BIG FAT mistake.
Till page no 1 I coudln’t put this book down. You can have fun on me now… because I started reading it in train, full of people, without any suspicion… They started watching me confused, very quickly because I coudln’t stop myself from burst of laughing.
All we have here is a bad Boss-
Theo, crazy new-girl- Lizzie and then the madness begin.
The story just getting better.
Theo and Lizzy totally ruled my reading world today !!!
FOR sure I’ll read more Annika’s books.
Elizabeth “Lizzie” Cooper needs to only stay with her new job 30 days to earn the sign-on bonus she needs desperately. Then she can leave and never have to look back into the strange world of Vossameer Inc. and its elusive owner Mr. Drummond. Theo Drummond is all scientific and laser-focused yet aloof, he’s all swoony and bossy, sexy and intense but he is also driven by guilt and sadness. Lizzie is told by her manager to find a new wake up service for their CEO, Mr. Drummond, yet she cannot find anyone to take him on so Lizzie wakes up super early and is his wake up call every morning so she doesn’t lose her job. There is a reason for why Lizzie does what she does and she does everything with spirit and sass. She takes some insane risks in order to finally get where she needs to be yet one cannot help but admire her guts and spirit. As the story progresses, you can see how Theo becomes enamored with Lizzie when he didn’t even know what she looked like. He was determined to date her without knowing what she looked like. I totally disliked Lizzie’s ex and wanted him to reap what he sowed. There are many twists and turns to this story that had me totally hooked from the very beginning and had me on the edge of my seat and engrossed with this sexy and compelling read. The banter in this story is witty and seductive. I loved the dirty talk the main characters had with one another yet doesn’t have you wanting to read ahead. It fits the story and fits with the storyline. This is a fresh, exciting story –one with a great plot, entertaining characters and exciting storyline. The chemistry between the main characters is sexy and delicious. I enjoyed the ending and loved the beautiful HEA.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *****
The story is funny and has a of hot chemistry between characters. Annika Martin is my favorite author. Lizzie and Theo might be opposites personality. Lizzie once had a successful bakery and boyfriend but that boyfriend took loans in her name. She needed more money which lead her to work for the Theos company. When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Annika Martin is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
Omg I loved this book! There were parts where I could not stop laughing and other were super hot!
Such a great story line!
You wanna laugh, swoon and throw some sexy time in the mix, well this book has it all. The Billionaires Wake-up girl is a great rom-com. I enjoyed it so much, from the first page i knew i was in love with Theo and Lizzie is a hoot they are completely opposites, yet they are perfect for each other.
Theo is a scientist, focused on his cause, a hard boss that likes perfection and a little bit of a control freak. He needs some one to bring him down a notch. When he needs a wake-up service for like the 100 time, he never imagined Lizzie his new employee to be the rude person calling him every morning. But he loves it. The only thing is that he doesn’t know is her. Lizzie is quirky and very opinionated she is a baker that loves cookies, but a turn of events land her working for Theo and needing the money she is willing to do anything, even being his secret wake-up caller. But she never expected thing to go a different route and getting to know Theo in a totally different level that her hard boss. The chemistry is hot and together they are explosive. But what would happened when Theo discovers that the girl making those calls is his own employee, one that he couldn’t stop think My when he meet. Would all this be a recipe for disaster.
Annika delivers a sweet, romantic, story with so much laughter and wait… did I mention baby goats?! Yes, baby goats make an appearance too. You don’t wanna miss this.
5 laugh out loud Stars!!
The Billionaire’s Wake-up Call girl had me laughing out loud!
Lizzy works at Vossameer Inc. as new social media manager, her boss Sasha is a stiff brown nose who will go to great lengths to keep the CEO Theo Drummond happy. Lizzy being loud and obnoxious with no filter found it hard to adjust to the stiff environment at Vossameer Inc. Sasha handballs the task of finding Theo a wake- call service over to Lizzy, well in this day and age with digital Alarms clocks and mobile phones Lizzy has trouble finding one. Not wanting to look incompetent at work she has no choice but to wake up at 4am to make the wake up call herself, but In true Lizzy Style ofcourse.
“Wake up, motherfucker,” I say. “It’s time to rise and shine, okay?”
Lizzy gets to tell her CEO Theo just what she thinks of him every morning playing the part as operator number 7.
Lizzy and Theo develop this connection over the phone that has Theo Obsessing over his wake up call girl.
The story from there get interesting, without saying anymore not to give anything away all I can say is it’s a must read. Annika’s writing is flawless, the characters are great and entertaining and the story flows perfectly .
What a fabulous read! I loved the quirky cast of characters, the fun and fresh plot, and the huge smile I had on my face while reading this.
The banter between Theo and Lizzie on the calls was brilliant. She was such a spitfire and I loved it! With her sassy attitude and passion for baking, I feel like we would be BFFs. And Theo, I loved his eccentricity and his passion to save lives. And who doesn’t love baby goat videos?
Lizzy Cooper used to be a fun quirky girl with her own bakery… until the worst thing ever happened and she lost it all. Her livelihood, her reputation, her bakery and her boyfriend- now dirty rotten ex, along with her freedom to be who she is.
Then to top it all, her very existence is being threatened. What’s a girl to do?
Well, for Lizzy, it’s to try and make the debts she’s being forced to pay off… and to procure any job she can. Luck has her finding a media work placement at Vossameer Inc. It comes with a huge sign on bonus, something she desperately needs to keep the sharks at bay.
It seemed simple. She only had to last our the 30 day probation and she would be home free and safe. The work was easy but the environment at Vossameer is beyond weird. Everyone walks on eggshells and talk about the boss and CEO of the company in hushed whispers. It’s like he’s some magical ‘Wizard of Oz’ who can do no wrong in their eyes.
When Lizzy finally meets the mysterious and elusive Theo Drummond, she’s less than impressed. He’s lofty and arrogant. He doesn’t expect anyone to question him and when she does, he takes notice… as does Lizzy’s immediate boss, Sasha, who just happens to have a thing for Theo.
Theo is very particular about things in his life. He likes to be woken up by a phone call, rather than an alarm clock for one, and when his latest service quits, it falls to Sasha and by extension, Lizzy to find a new one.
Not so simple when Theo Drummond’s name is mentioned. When all else fails… Lizzy picks up the slack.
But after having met Theo, she more than a little prickly when she makes the call. She’s aghast when he answers, thinking she’d been pretending to talk to him not actually have him hear exactly what she thought of him.
But, Theo liked it.
Liked it so much, he wanted to keep the mysterious Operator Seven.
Things unfurl from there and by the end of the week, they are hooked on each other… except, Theo doesn’t know who is behind the calls. And he wants to know. He wants her all to himself.
The rest is a hugely amusing and entertaining series of escapes, dirty phone calls, a few heart to heart moments and some seriously filthy smexy scenes.
Theo may be a nerdy scientist but he’s got game… one helluva a lot of game. He made me hot, he made me swoon, he was just that good- uh bad! But in a good way, lol.
“Sex with me is a dirty, savage affair. Utterly uncivilized…” He warned….
And man, does he live up his words!
Between that and the snarky, sassy comments and the blistering chemistry, this is one hot potato of a book. Fair warning. You may melt, your kindle may melt… and your panties? If they don’t melt from the heat, you’ll laugh them off instead.
This is the 5th book that I’ve added as “favorites 2018” so that has to tell you something. I was laughing within the first couple of pages, and the snark and sass was spot-on with this story. I was smirking for most of the book. It was certainly steamy, and I loved the phone conversations between Theo and Lizzie. The premise of the story was unique, and I loved the way that Lizzie was pulling herself up by her bootstraps. Theo was perfectly adorable, and he certainly needed Lizzie to add some color and fluffy animals to his life. I highly recommended this book!
I enjoyed every moment of this book!
It was so entertaining.
With lol scenes and hilarious situations.
But it also has a little bit of a serious side as well.
It’s so well written and the author did such a fantastic job intertwining characters that are opposite each other and making them perfect for one another and she also did an amazing job with the balance of funny and serious.
I loved the characters!
Lizzie the fun loving, sassy baker is such a fantastic girl.
She’s smart, funny and has been dealt a bad hand she’s trying to overcome.
Her and her best friend Mia are a dynamic duo together.
They provide for some very funny conversations and situations in which Lizzie will find herself in.
Theo is a scientist/chemist/researcher. He’s intense,no nonsense and extremely serious in his place of work. What he demands of himself he also demands of his employees as well. So it makes for an intense working environment. So not only is Theo a lifesaving researcher,he also happens to be sexy as hell with one incredible dirty mouth that would have an lady panting and fanning herself!
Lizzie and Theo are so explosive together and so sizzling hot!
Yeah a scientist and a baker who are total opposites can ignite an insatiable hunger and a burning flame from just an early morning wake up call!
The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl is funny and heartwarming. It was so much fun to read and I couldn’t put it down.
Lizzie is one tough cookie. She’s been knocked down a lot recently and is working her hardest to recoup her losses. Theo is a reclusive, intelligent, man. He’s working hard on things that could save lives, and is singularly focused on making that happen. Lizzie forces her witty spark onto Theo, being a bit of a distraction, and it made me love her so much more.
I loved these two. They were easy to root for, and their story simply sucked me in. The little details made the story, and a few parts made me laugh out loud. It was also a bit emotional as we learn more about Lizzie and Theo’s pasts. I read this story in one sitting, and would recommend to the reader looking for a light, funny tale.

Can you continue even though it probably won’t end well? When he finds out it’s his assistant making the calls will he be furious or even more intrigued? Told in dual POV; this is a sexy, funny romance
