One minute, pregnant Leah Andrews is throwing up over the side of a yacht and the next, she’s married to party boy Brooks. It’s an arrangement born of sheer desperation to save her job, but now the tabloids are all over them, their friends are running a pool betting on whether they’ll actually stay married until Baby Day, and worst of all, she and her new husband might just be falling for one … another. But they belong in opposite worlds. It’ll never work.
Billionaire app developer Brooks Larson lives his life on the light side. Until he tries to play hero and claims to be Leah’s husband. Now he’s up to his ears in Lamaze classes, baby powder…and unexpected marital bliss. But he’d make a rotten husband and horrible father. Leah and the baby deserve so much better. Add in major baby daddy drama and the whole situation is the worst idea EVER. But sometimes those bad ideas might just be the best ones.

it was so original and different.. it was great
Wasn’t sure I wanted to read another “billionaire” story, but Carter is a fun, average kind of guy. Madeline is a sassy woman strugglin g to raise her brother and sister. Carter’s reaction to an unplanned baby was a pleasant surprise. Well written and edited.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a cute small town romance featuring Madeline and Carter. Madeline always had a smile even though life dealt her some curve balls. After being abandoned by their parents she became guardian to her younger siblings. This forced her to work double shifts to provide for all of them Carter is the billionaire hotel mogul who opening a hotel in town. She catches his eye and their attraction is strong. This was a cute read that was hard to put down once I started. The characters are likable and the story is entertaining. The chemistry between Madeline and Carter is explosive. Plenty of drama as they deal with life. Some twists and a baby surprise. Does Carter decide that a family is what he’s been lacking in his life? I read an advance copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
Not quite as good as the first book in the series but a good read.
It was like most books. I like it tho. Kept me interested. Nice cozy book to read when you have the blues. At least someone has a life even if it is in a book
Glad they finally figured it out. Had to go back and read the previous book.
One of the the best I have read.
Loved it so much, I searched for other books by the author!
Cute story. Loved the characters. Funny in parts.
I personally didn’t care for this book and almost didn’t finish it. The female in the story is supposed to be a “good” girl but sleeps with a guy when she doesn’t know his name until she sees his drivers license by mistake, gets pregnant and plans to be deceitful to her soon to be boss in a Catholic school to get a job and marries a man who will bale her out of her problems after only knowing him a week. He is a playboy and acts like a child most of the time but thinks a family might gain him respect. There are too many good books out there to spend time reading this one.
Different twist on a love story
Well written , easy reading. Good characters with a happy ending. Perfect reading for a chilly almost spring evening .
The emotional zig zag of the story line had me laughing and questioning at different times. Communication levels are so different and cause hiccups between the billionaire and the lady. Fun to read about how talking/quietness can make or break a relationship.
Unrealistic and ridiculous
This was a story about a woman who gets pregnant after a one night stand and who then attracts a playboy billionaire and they get married. I really liked the book, but I felt there were some unplumbed story arcs. The billionaire had an unexpected connection to the baby daddy and their situation was resolved off the pages. It was very unsatisfying which is why I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5. It was good, but could have been much better.
Loved the book!
This was a wonderful read!
Leah is pregnant after a one night stand when she meets Brooks. When she is in danger of losing her new job at a Catholic school due to her unwed state, Brooks speaks up for her. The result is a temporary marriage.
I loved Brooks and his fun, carefree ways. It was obvious from the beginning that he wanted nothing but Leah even if he didn’t realize it himself or recognize that he was worth all the good things life has to offer. Leah was a sweet heroine that was also able to stand up for herself. She wanted her baby’s father to know about the pregnancy and set about to try to make that happen. Unfortunately, there is bad history between the two men in Leah’s life and they must now make a decision on what is best for the baby.
This is a fast paced read with plenty of humor, great characters and a touch of sexiness. I really enjoyed the first book of this series and enjoyed this one even more! Can’t wait for the next one!
This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and Entangled.
After discovering that she is pregnant, Leah Andrews is beside herself, she isn’t certain of the father’s whereabouts, or how to get a hold of him to share the unexpected news… then an unlikely hero steps in to help her in her quest to find her baby’s father. When Brooks Larson comes to her aid on the yacht she is completely surprised the well known playboy wants anything to do with her considering her current predicament, but then he surprises her and shows real interest in helping her locate her child’s father. Then he surprises her even more by stepping up and offering to play her hubby, and from there things just continue to get more interesting… and a whole lot hotter!!
Brooks Larson doesn’t do love, strings attached anything, he fully embraces his freedom and has no interest in letting one woman tie him down… then he meets Leah and all bets are off! She is in quite the predicament, and for some reason he can’t help but want to get involved, his friends try to sway his decision to get tied up in Leah’s mess, but he isn’t hearing any of it. He has watched them find happiness, and settle down, and now that he sees that it works, he is thinking it might just be something to consider… his friends however have their doubts and start placing their bets!!
The moment I saw that this one involved a sexy playboy billionaire and a single first time mom I was in, it is one of my favorite tropes and I have to say it did not disappoint… it was pretty freaking amazing!! These two were quite the pair, and their little journey to finding their happily ever after had lots of unexpected surprises, but little by little they found a way to deal with them head on and create something quite beautiful. There was a lot to like about this one, amazing characters with sizzling chemistry, a story line that pulled me in from the get-go, and a little added humor that put a smile on my face!! Highly recommend this one, the moment you crack the cover on it you will be hooked, and hit with a serious case of book boyfriend swoons!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
Not sure where to start… a new author, a book that captivated from page one or characters I need more from. What I will say is this book left me needing to read more books from Kira Archer.
Brooks and Leah are perfect for each other, the chemistry is sizzling and what can I say about the banter apart from it had me laughing out loud.
This book has it all, it’s funny, it has a feel good factor about it and it has characters you will fall in love with, it drew me in from the first page and there was no putting it down til I had read the final line. I can’t wait to read more from this author and I hope there is more from the guys I met in this book. Great job great read.
Brooks greatest strength is being the life of the party. The goofball with the wicked sense of humor, a thirst for sexy women and a need to be the center of attention. It turns out Mr. Party Animal is full of surprises and the his biggest critic is himself. Kira Archer knows how to throw a party. Her talent for writing fiction that entertains is legendary. However, she is also good at pointing out the obvious in her characters and doling out some big surprises when it counts. Brooks and Leah were a surprise that counted. Who would have thought that good time Charlie would be such a great catch? The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby mixes realism, humor and heart with a maturity that turns the tale on it’s head. The man who never met a responsibility he liked, may risk it all for a woman who prides herself on that very trait. Ms. Archer aims for the heart and she surely hits her mark.
