Gregor Beaumont is in a world of hurt that all the charm in his gorgeous, well-toned body can’t fix. His late grandfather, God rest his soul, wanted to make sure Gregor and his two playboy brothers settle down. He had the brilliant idea of buying up a huge share of the brothers’ engine company and using that as incentive for each brother to find Mrs. Right. Settle down or lose the company to a … competitor. Well, that’s just not happening to Gregor, not when life’s so good at the moment. Gregor likes racing fast cars and seducing fast women, and not necessarily in that order. Settle down? Not a chance. Gregor has his own brilliant idea: find some wholesome and desperate girl to pretend to be his girlfriend. No harm. No foul. Unless things start getting a little bit too real.
Kara Alerby knows she’s a sucker for blues eyes and a great smile, so when Gregor comes into her theater wanting to hire her to act the part of his adoring girlfriend, she’s already got her defenses on high alert. But Kara’s a practical girl, and Gregor’s offering a boatload of money that would go a long way toward making her dream of creating a fine arts school for gifted kids a reality. She can ignore his smiles, his charisma, and his kiss-me mouth if it means she’ll get her school. All she has to do is remind herself, every second of every day they’re together, that it’s all make believe—even when it doesn’t always feel that way.
When Greg’s love of racing puts his life in jeopardy, Kara isn’t ready to watch another person die in front of her like her father did. And Greg isn’t about to stop doing the one thing that makes life worth living. The two are on a collision course, one that could break them apart forever if they don’t change directions…

Kara is a drama teacher for high school and does improv classes at an old theater. But the theater is being sold and she has tried everything to get it. In walks Gregor, a Formula One racer, British, and very wealthy. He makes Kara a proposition… be his pretend girlfriend and then marry him so he can keep his company. He will pay her and buy the theater building just until he fulfills the wishes in his grandfathers will. It’s all a big act until she falls for him. When she tries to get him to quit racing and then invites some mechanics from his late grandfather’s company, he blows up. She gets upset and goes back to America. Can Gregor change for the woman he loves?
Good story until Kara tried to change Gregor. If you love someone, you love them just the way they are. Even though she was trying to help him, she didn’t really know him well enough to do what she did. Sexy and fast cars.

I love reading books where the Billionaire tries to fake a relationship due to a stipulation in the will of a deceased parent or grandparent only to have it backfire and truly fall in love.
Gregor sets out to find the perfect woman to play his pretend girlfriend/fiance’/wife so that he and his brothers can retain ownership of their racing company. He finds Kara, strikes a deal that is mutually beneficial to both of them.
This book is definitely an intriguing page turner. Such emotion is involved when two people start off pretending to care for the benefit of others and end up actually falling deeply in love.
Gregor needs a wife to keep his company, Kara needs money to open a fine arts school for gifted children. This is a good storyline and the characters are wonderful. I enjoyed reading the HEA ending to this storyline.

You might have read a book similar to this one before. I will say the author’s take on how to introduce these two characters was unique. They met during an acting class. So we have a billionaire who’s in need of a wife and a teacher who struggles to make ends meet but love teaching. Each of these two characters has something to offer the other. Except they’re virtually strangers.
It’s funny how close you can get to another person when you spend 24/7 with them in their world. It’s easy to pick up on their needs, wants, habits, and gather what’s most important to them. Well…you’d think the last part was easy to decipher. Sometimes it takes an extra push.
Gregor and Kara definitely needed a little push but their story is pretty sweet. Their true feelings about one another are revealed and quick action is taken. I enjoyed reading their story. I think you will too. Y’all know I’m a sucker for a good billionaire story!
Wonderful start to the series
This is book 1 of the Beaumont Brothers Series. And a wonderful full length complete book in it’s own right. Gregor must find a bride in order to keep his and his brother’s company out of a competitor’s hands. He has no time for love so he does what he needs to do. He hires an actress. Kara is a actress/acting coach and in desperate need of money to buy the theater she has been working out of. She knows it’s crazy but how can Kooky Kara say no to Gorgeous Gregor? The only question now is can they fool his Nana into thinking this is the real deal and how can they stop themselves from believing it as well? A wonderful start to the series that I will be on the look out for.

This was a very good Fake Girlfriend to Real Love book. It was quirky, sexy and romantic. The story of British Playboy and Racing Mogul Gregor Beaumont and American Kara Alerby is one of the best Leslie North books I have read.
Gregor needs to find a woman to help fulfill his Grandfather’s will and after scouring Seattle he finds Kara teaching an improv class. She fits the bill perfectly. Being together a month in Europe exposes feelings that neither – especially Gregor anticipated. It seems his first love racing will derail any relationship before it begins…

Avery nice romantic tale written in the setting of Formula 1 racing. The main point this reader took from this novel is that people are the number one priority in life over any other thing. It is not “things” that matter the most, it is people that matter the most. There is a risk in everything in life but to overtly head on high risk activities as a matter of rote is another. The relationship of the main male and female characters was an adventure and a learning experience for the main male character mainly. Through steadfastness, love and loyalty, the main female character provided enough love, support and insight, for the main male character to come into his own and mature. Very enjoyable time reading this novel.

Gregor worked hard for all that he has accomplished and he wasn’t going to let his grandfather stand in the way of his success. When his grandfather put a clause in is will that his grandsons had to get serious about a woman within a year and a half of his death or he would sell his portion of their business to the highest bidder, he became proactive. Now that he has found Kara and she has agreed, will it all come back to bite him in the butt? Kara agreed for one thing only to get the theater but can she guard her heart against this heart throb of a man!

I found this fake girlfriend romance to be fun and extremely enjoyable. Gregor and Kara were both very likable and more importantly I really liked them together. Their chemistry was very strong and easy to feel. An entertaining storyline pulls these two together while also pushing them apart do to drama, fear and emotional turmoil. Gregor was a typical poster boy playboy and adrenaline junkie. I loved that he totally thought he was so brilliant with his foolproof master plan that made to outwit his Grandfather’s scheme and got caught in a trap of his own making. Kara, was caring, motivated, a bit of a dreamer and smart. She was very relatable and just came across as someone that you could know in real life. This is a great start to this new series and I look forward to reading the other books.
I really enjoyed this book! I cannot wait to see how the other brothers romances turn out. The fake to real relationship is a quick turnabout, but it’s something they couldn’t deny and even after the fiasco, they work out everything and get their HEA.

This was a good book. Gregor needs to find a women to save his company. Thanks to his grandpa leaving instructions that the only way he and his brothers can keep the company is by them finding wives. He meets Kara at an acting class. Of course she agrees and then they start their fake relationship. Which we all know how these types of books go but at least they were happy in the end.
Thrilling beginning to what promises to be a action packed and engaging series. Emotionally exciting, heartwarming and passion filled story that was hard to put down, a romance that kept me reading well into the evening… really enjoyed reading.

What starts off as a fake relationship evolves into so much more.
Kara is propositioned to become Gregor Beaumont’s fiancé in exchange for money to make her dream of owning her own fine arts studio. Even though there’s a mutual attraction, they put that aside for the sake of the contract. But eventually their emotions come to the forefront. The author pulls you into the lives of Kara and Gregor and you’ll find yourself rooting for them.

Who better to “act”as a fake wife but an actress. Gregor Beaumont and his 2 brothers need to get married with in 18 months of his death in order to keep the company they started, B3 Motors. Who better to ask to “play that role” than an actress. Gregor finds Kara, an actress running an improv class. Everything about her fits the bill. Kara Alerby is looking for a way to buy the theatre she holds her improv classes in but the grant she applied for has been denied. Can she “act” as this sexy man’s wife and earn a few million dollars and her theater. Are the nice things Gregor does for Kara be a sign of real feelings? Will the help Kara tries to give Gregor backfire?
Will Kara and Gregor admit that the chemistry they have is real and make their relationship and marriage a real one?

WOW – what to say? This story just kept me totally captivating throughout the story, from beginning to end. It is not all that long a story, perhaps more towards a long novella? I am not quite 100% sure where the definition lies between novellas or novels, but it does not matter in this case. Everyting was there for a sweet beautiful romance. The characters are just so fine and well rounded overall, the story line is fine, the other characers are fine, for a change there was no villain but who needs them all the time anyways? There were the family ties, around which the whole story is written! Overall really a good story to read. As always this is only my opinion and I am writing this review really voluntarily, and with great pleasure!
