Communication is the key to a relationship.
Spunky heroine
Good love story with an approachable heroine who has some self belief and makes sense in her response to all that happens.
Sappy and cliche. But entertaining. It frustrated me how she totally forgot how mad she was at him. And why she was never resolved. For that I only gave three stars. It does have a HEA ending though.
Easy to read and laugh along with the books events.
Enjoyable
Lizette was an accountant for non profit in her home town and they going to have to find funding. Her boss calls her into the office on Friday and tells she have to go to a party in her place to gather funding. Jon was tricked by his friends to go to a party they help set up for one of their charities. That is how they met, the rest is history
This is the first book in the Betting on You Series. In this book it follows Billionaire Jon Vinchi and accountant Lizette Burke
One of the most eligible billionaires Jon Vinchi is a man with one passion: work. Jon’s friends decide to shake him up by entering him as a prize at a charity event. Jon hates social events even charity events. He prefers to keep himself to himself. He’s a man who values his privacy.
Then comes accountant Lizette Burke who is dressed to the nines and covers for her boss at the same charity event as Jon. Lizette’s hoping to land a major donor for the non-profit agency that employs her and is struggling to keep a float.
Lizette never expects to win a date with a billionaire.
Jon could never imagine that one night would turn his life upside down.
Only one problem and that is that one lie stands between them and also their happily ever after.
It’s so big that it’s bad it’s a huge one!
Can Jon and Lizette work through their problems?
I love how Jeannette Winters writes and helps break the stigma of the rich and the poor in different worlds. Not everything should be like that.
There should be an option for more than 5 stars as i would definitely give her more but have to settle for 5
The premise of this story is a good one but I feel that some parts don’t add up which left me a little disappointed. In general I enjoyed the book.
Lizette is an accountant for a non-profit in financial troubles. Jon is the billionaire who is able to help. Their relationship struggles because of Lizette’s lack of trust in Jon and Jon’s inability to use his words to express himself.
Lizette’s first impression of Jon is positive until she learns that he did not correct that misconception he is not a billionaire. However, this initial betrayal in Lizette’s eyes gets ignored when she is forced to ask for financial assistance for her non-profit. I feel that this initial reaction should have been addressed.
I also feel that Lizette’s acceptance of what she was told after her mishap was too accepting. At this time she tries to keep her distance from Jon and yet is totally willing to believe what she is told about their relationship.
The mixed signals Jon gives Lizette after she becomes fully aware of their relationship serves him right. Communication is key.
Fun Billionaire Romance
This is a light-weight fish -out-of -water romance. The story is light and fun. The sex is graphic and easy to skip past. While the plot kept my interest, I doubt that I will read anymore of this series unless I can get the books at no cost. I bought this book and this is my honest review.
Good book
Good book!
didn’t like it
Enjoyed the entire series.
Excellent read! Couldn’t put it down.
Found that once I started reading this book that I had a hard time putting it down.
I like a variety and a!though lately I’ve been reading paranormal I love a great romance it gives me hope that one day I may find my great love.
It could happen. It did happen. Took her a while to get it straight in her head. When it did, she handled it like a champ. Glad it had a happy ending. Almost didn’t.
Just fun!!
This book was not well written. I did not like the characters or the story. Missing a lot of detail.
Great read. Lots of twists and turns to keep the reader interested.
