To Stephanie Sugarman, Charlie Preston is just the bad boy billionaire who rejected his own son. Six years ago, she and Charlie had an admittedly hot one-night stand, which left her pregnant. When she tracked down his family, his mother offered her money to go away. Now, however, Stephanie’s forced to spend time with Charlie as her boss’s liaison while Charlie crunches the numbers for a potential … potential acquisition. At first, she can’t stand to be in the same room as the charming, brilliant businessman. But as time goes on, she realizes the man she believed him to be and the man she sees now are completely different. This Charlie is honorable, charming, and—most importantly—would never abandon his son. And he seems determined to prove to her that he’s worthy of her heart.
Even though he and Stephanie only spent one incredible night together, Charlie has never been able to get her out of his mind. Now that he’s working with her, he has the chance to make things right, to prove he’s someone she and their son can trust. He’ll approach fatherhood the same way he approaches everything in life—with a detailed, meticulous plan. What he doesn’t anticipate is fiercely independent Stephanie, who gets a bit prickly when he tries to lay out a future for them. The problem is, planning is what Charlie does best, but he learns too late that all the planning in the world can’t make her stay with him. He’ll have to ditch his plan and follow his heart…no matter where it leads.

The Billionaire’s Secret Son by Leslie North. I’m with Charlie on this one…it’s always good to have a plan. That is until it’s not and at that point, you need to follow your heart and go with your gut. I found this to be a very enduring second chance romance with a lot of patience, love, forgiveness, and drama. Main characters had an undeniable chemistry and I thought this story was good. Having a one night stand produces an unexpected pregnancy for Stephanie. When trying to find Charlie to tell him , his mother steps in the way trying to bribe her. Fast forward six years when they meet again. This is a sweet second chance romance for them. The spark is still there and their chemistry is still hot. It’s a fast paced read with an interesting story line. The author does a great job bringing her story to life with her descriptive scenes and moving it quickly and smoothly. I loved and would recommend this book.

The Billionaire’s Secret Son is the second book in Leslie North’s Preston Brothers series and is definitely a story packed with high emotions. Based on their beginning, there was always going to be friction and animosity when this damaged couple crossed paths again; but there’s more at stake this time around, and they both need to look deep within their hearts and decide what is important and what should be left in the past.
Charlie’s character is one that grows and matures throughout this story and you can’t help but admire and respect the man he has become. Stephanie on the other hand is brutal and unforgiving with her constant reminders that she has done everything on her own and doesn’t need Charlie in their son’s life. But even though there were times I easily could have shaken Stephanie till she surrendered her pride, I thoroughly enjoyed how the story unfolded and the ending was endearing.
One brother left, and I can’t wait to read his journey to love!
I enjoyed this 2nd book in this new series. As always Leslie North writes a great story. Characters are authentic. Stephanie doesn’t know whether to trust Charlie, Jasper’s dad. While Charlie is trying to make up for lost time and being able to be a dad. He wants control and planning but Stephanie isn’t willing to be controlled.

A great look at some of the uglier sides of relationships
Stephanie, an executive assistant, has a tangled past with Charlie, CFO of Preston Inc., that he is not entirely aware of. As the story progresses a secret comes to the surface, they plunge head first into the deep end, and merely treading water will not guarantee that everyone will be saved. Leslie North’s The Billionaire’s Secret Son is a great look at some of the uglier sides of relationships.

A sweet love story.
A great second chance love story between Charlie and Stephanie and her five year old son, Jasper. It’s a relatively short story so the author kept everything moving along. Both characters are control freaks and after five years of events in their lives that changes them, can they continue that growth? Or will they be retreat back to what they know.
This is a very well-written storyline and characters. The supporting characters while not appearing often are there supporting key points. This is a book that is well worth spending a day or two reading and for that I’m recommending this book for your reading enjoyment.

This story has some cliches. But it was a great story of finding love and family. She didn’t know she would see him again. Upon meeting again he sees his son.

Stephanie and Charlie met in Vegas and had a one-night stand. When Stephanie find that she is pregnant, she tracks down his address and tries to tell him, but his mother kept them apart and never mentioned it to Charlie.
After six years, the two will meet again. Charlie’s company wants to acquire the company where Stephanie works as assistant to the owner. When she enters the meeting, she has her son, Jasper, with her.
Charlie and Stephanie still care about each other, but there are unresolved issues to be dealt with. Can they get over the painful situations and work things out going forward? Will Stephanie give Charlie a second chance so they can bring their family together at last?
This author is so good at giving the reader characters who are realistic and likable. They have troubles to work out, but the reader can feel compassion for what they are going through. The story line was good and well-paced throughout. Don’t miss this one – it is definitely worthwhile!
I was totally captivated as Stephanie and Charlie’s journey unfolded flawlessly with a great storyline that kept me turning the pages until the very last page!
I liked this book. Charlie and Stephanie’s second chance romance was a good read. There is plenty of drama, emotional turmoil, tension and angst in the story line. This was one of those book that while I enjoyed it, I also had issues with the characters that made it hard for me to connect with them. This is my independent, impartial review.
Leslie Norths newest book The Billionaire’s Secret Son Charlie Preston is working on an acquisition of Baldwin trucking to help the family shipping company. Enter Stephanie Sugarman assistant to Allen Baldwin, she needs this acquisition to keep her job! Charlie and Stephanie have a past from 6 years ago they had a one night stand and surprise a son Jasper. Charlie wants to get to know his son and still has feelings for Stephanie. He was at a bad time when he and Stephanie first met and when she tried contacting him his mother intervened and needless to say he never knew! He never forgot her and is hoping that working together will help them get closer. Little do they both know that trying to work together can be challenging when she has been an independent single mom for so long and he tends to be controlling. Add to that the fact that if the acquisition fails Stephanie will lose her job. What a predicament!
I had a bit of a bumpy ride with this one. Charlie and Jasper crawled into my heart as soon as I met them and made their home there. Stephanie just rubbed me the wrong way. I loved her mama bear ferocity when making sure that Jasper was safe and well cared for. But, when her independence and being able to say “I did it on my own, my way” became the most important factors in her decisions, I didn’t like her character at all. There were times I felt like I wanted her happily ever after with Charlie more than she did, and that’s probably where our personalities generated the most friction. It hurt my heart to realize what Charlie had had to overcome and I was so proud to see how well he was able to manage his triggers. Even if his planning was over the top, it was clear this was one of his coping strategies. He was a character that was easy for me to fall in love with. I would have enjoyed seeing a bit more of the give-and-take between her free spirit and his desire to plan. The ending is pretty darned adorable and now I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for remaining single Preston brother.
