Billionaire Max Hamilton thought he was finally starting to find contentment, more than two years after losing his wife Mia in a tragic drowning accident.
He’d been reunited with a sister he hadn’t realized existed. Finally he had family again, a reprieve from the pain and loneliness that had haunted him since his devastating loss. Yeah…he was as happy as a man could be, considering he had … considering he had lost the other half of his soul and most of his heart when fate had torn his wife away from him.
Or so he believed…until the day he rescued a mysterious woman in the park, a female who somehow had managed to reignite a part of him that he thought was long dead…
Suddenly, Max’s protective, dominant, possessive male instincts flare to life, leaving him at a loss as to how lightning could possibly strike twice in one lifetime. Is he truly being given another chance at real happiness, or would it be dangled in front of him, only to be taken away once again?

The Billionaire Obsession is completely my Obsession.
Max’s story blew me away, it reminded me that miracles can happen and love truly does conquer all.
I have become addicted to Author JS Scott’s alpha males. She takes me to a world where I get lost in her stories and hold my breath for the happy ever after.
Anyone that has read her books knows, she can’t not give her characters a happy ever after and honestly thank God for that. Many times I have thought, OMG! what’s going to happen next and Max’s story was no different.
Max is a gorgeous man with a broken heart, he’s never gotten over losing his wife, Mia. When I heard Max’s story was going to become available, I couldn’t wait to find out who would heal his heart and show him the love he so very much deserved.
Like all billionaire’s, he has power and money, but he’s missing having family in his life, this is all about to change. His life is about to be turn upside down in more ways than one, he’s going to learn many secrets that have been kept from him by people he has known and trusted. Even I found it hard to comprehend why they did such a thing but in life or death situations people do things to protect the ones they love.
Max is not about to let anything happen to the ones he loves again. He will not stop until he gets what he wants, no matter how he has to do it.
Billionaire Alpha male at it’s very possessive best. Reading these books makes my toes curl.
I will always recommend this series because no matter what, it’s the happy ever after we all crave and this Author does it with perfection.
What an emotional rollercoaster. Beautiful story of finding true love’s potential.
I loved this book. I love to read J.S. Scott books
How many times was Max going to say, “She’s Mine”? Sooo irritating. This book went on entirely too long. I am usually cheering for an epilogue, but I could have easily done without this one. After the airport scene and subsequent discussion, I’m not sure if anything else was necessary.
I listened to the audio book. The narration was ok. I didn’t spend much time thinking about it being a woman voicing the male parts of the story.
I initially was really hyped about this story. What could have possibly happened to Mia? As the story unfolded, I could not believe how Mia reacted to her situation, especially after she had help. Wouldn’t the first conversation you had be with the person that helped you?
Max’s reaction was equally as ridiculous. Why not listen to the entire conversation before you run off half cocked? I didn’t quite buy into the explanation both Max and Mia gave for why they behaved the way they did at the start of their marriage.
There was no build-up of sexual tension, no real chemistry between the two of them, no evidence of emotion in the narration, and the sex scenes seemed somewhat wooden. Not to mention, they were overly discussed. I wanted to feel something, but I didn’t. My suggestion would be for you to read or listen to this book and judge for yourself.
I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this audio book received from the author.
Max And Mia’s Heartbreaking Second Chance Story Gives Max The Happy Ending He Deserves!
Max Hamilton, thirty-three, is still not ready to move on two and a half years after his wife presumably drowned at sea. He had found her things on the beach when he returned home one day. After a week of searching the police had only one theory besides the obvious drowning: that Max was behind her disappearance. That went nowhere, of course. Today, she is still officially missing, though she is presumed dead by all. But Max’s love for Mia remains strong, and the guilt that he feels each day for not loving her well enough during their two years of marriage consumes him. He is empty. Adopted and raised by a wealthy couple, Max was taught to be a Hamilton. Anal, meticulous, stuffy, aloof, detached, logical … he lived robotically. He tried to love Mia with measured tenderness, as his father had loved his mother. But he came alive around Mia. It had been love at first sight. Yet he knew the passion he felt for her to be irrational and wrong, so he often neglected her, making excuses to leave in order to rein in the out of control feelings she triggered in him. She had been the love of his life, and he had failed her. But sometimes other forces are at play, or so it seems when he joins his friends for a picnic in the park. He, Simon and Kara, Sam and Maddie – his newly discovered long-lost sister – and Mia’s brother Kade are gathered together when he spots a woman who doesn’t look much like Mia, but he instantly recognizes her as his wife. And he knows this time he will love her like she deserves and never let her go.
Mia Hamilton, twenty-nine, cannot remember what had happened to her when she awakes in a Tampa hospital surrounded by her husband, friends, and family. Apparently she has been missing for years, but she cannot remember anything beyond a few weeks prior to her disappearance. She has no doubt about her love for Max. She had always felt more deeply for him than he ever had for her, though she was certain of his love. They understood that he grounded her and she brought joy to their marriage. And though she tried to change herself to please him, they had a good marriage. She was a jewelry designer, a passion that had been inspired by her grandmother. And he had political and business aspirations. But the Max that she wakes up to is different somehow. More feeling, more raw. And more passionate. Dominant. Their reunion is wonderful, bringing them closer than ever. Their relationship deepens as they open up to one another like never before, but a cloud of uncertainty remains until her memory is recovered. She has a recurring thought that concerns her. She feels like she is two women in one body. She is not certain who she really is, so how can she expect to Max to really know her? How can Max love her if he doesn’t know who she really is? And those secrets that she tried to bury are a threat to everything that Max believes about her.
Max and Mia’s story evokes a myriad of feelings. The gut-wrenching pain that Max feels at his wife’s disappearance is devastating, and the devotion he has for her is admirable. Mia’s love for Max is selfless, even if she had been a little immature. They both had some growing up and healing to do, and their separation gives them the space to reflect and learn. Once reunited, their love has the opportunity to mature and deepen as well. *Spoilers* There are a few things that are difficult to accept, although they are explained. Two characters conspire for two and one half years, and the action comes across as unnecessarily cruel. Certainly the information could have be shared at some point. Additionally, when circumstances change and Mia comes home, it seems impossible that the information she needed was withheld from her and others. Finally, it is unclear how their tattoos escape notice in Tampa. Nevertheless, Max’s character is compelling and his story is heartbreaking. Seeing Max get his happy ending – the second chance that he never thought he would have – is very gratifying. The epilogue points to Kade’s story.
Max and Mia’s heartbreaking second chance story gives Max the happy ending he deserves. The story is nicely written and plot-driven. The plot is somewhat complex, addressing such issues as abuse and honesty. The characters a nicely developed given the length. The story is written in third person. The POV alternates between Max and Mia, with one chapter in Kade’s POV. I rate this book four starts.
As for the Audio: it is well-performed and consistent with the book.
I received a copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book nearly broke my heart! Right from the start, Max’s grief and despair from losing his wife are heart wrenching. As we jump into the present day, his base level of sadness is apparent, even though he’s generally content, never feeling fully happy again since he lost Mia. Until she shows back up again, with amnesia of where she’d been the last 2 years. The love and passion between Max and Mia is scorching, but it seems like they’d always been holding back, each trying to change for the other. But when Mia gets her memories back, things go into a tailspin again, and poor Max is left devastated….again. Fortunately, it’s short lived, but not without some pretty intense drama, and we get a beautiful HEA for them. This was a wonderful second chance with a twist type love story. Max and Mia truly discovering who each other is and how much they love each other was sweet and touching, not to mention the scorching hot and steamy desire. I also enjoyed the interactions with Kade and Travis, and look forward to more of them in future books!!
Max and Mia’s story is so touching. I can not imagine how Max felt after grieving wife for two years because she is presumed dead and then she just reappeared out of nowhere. Intrigue, suspense, secrets and lots of heat.
Yes Yes and Yes I love Max and Mia as a couple as well as individuals. They adored each other so much that they were willing to change themselves to be who they thought the other person wanted. Of course that works but their hearts were in the right place. To thine own self be true. The plot held my interest from beginning to end. It had great characters, a great plot, and oh so sexy times. I have read many of the books in the series and not all in order but it wasn’t necessary. J S Scott is a wonderful storyteller. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Oh my goodness! Max and Mia…don’t miss this one. Everyone told Max that Mia was dead but he would not believe them, there was no body. She had gone missing while he was on a business trip. Two years later she reappears but doesn’t remember where she has been. Until her memory comes back and she runs again…
Definitely do not miss this one!
“The Billionaire’s Salvation ~ Max” (The Billionaire’s Obsession Book 3) by J.S. Scott is a wonderful read. I loved Max and Mia’s story. This is a great addition to this series, packed with romance, passion, billionaires, family, close friends, interesting and entertaining characters, twists and turns, second chances, and more. I can’t wait to see what happens next with this cast of characters. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, billionaires, entertaining characters, and series.
Book three of the Billionaire Obsession series by J. S. Scott.
I will admit when I read this book I didn’t enjoy it much mostly because I had really high hopes with Max’s previous character been in previous book and been introduced as Maddie’s new brother but this this book it almost like he a completely different person.
I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the other in the series but as a audiobook I did enjoy it a lot more. Max is a widower for two years. Mia his late wife disappear while on their private beach with no evidence or explanation. Max has always struggled with the belief she’s dead.
While at a picnic party with Sam, Simon, Kara, Maddie and Kade etc Max noticed Mia hinging watching behind a tree and when he try’s to chase her she runs falls and hits her head and forgets the last two years.
It was a good story and I love old characters are in this book but I struggled to understand why she agreed and followed through with the plan travis came up with and Max gets very possessive and is always trapping her hands which I didn’t like.
In the end HEA though so can’t complain too much.
This is a review of the audiobook.
Overall 5

Max’s story really touched my heart.
We met Max in Heart of the Billionaire. I knew his story was going to be a good one as soon as I learned his background. If you read the blurb, it’s not hard to tell how a good portion of the story is going to go. But that actually made me even more anxious to read the book.
I originally read the ebook back in 2013 but wasn’t doing many reviews back then. When I got the chance to receive a complementary copy of the audiobook, I was happy for the chance to experience the story all over again.
Elizabeth Power’s does another fantastic job with the narration. I’m so happy that she has narrated the entire series and I’m looking forward to listening to the remaining stories.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
Audiobook Review: The Billionaire’s Salvation ~ Max (The Billionaire’s Obsession, #3) by J.S. Scott (Author), Elizabeth Powers (Narrator)
Emotions run wild when secrets are revealed. No one can scramble up a heart quite like Scott. The Billionaire’s Salvation is a scorcher that begins in heartache but plops readers inside a mystery. Max has been haunted by the past. His life may seem like a dream. He has more money than most, but success has caused him more grief. After losing his heart’s desire to tragedy, regret is his constant company. Mia was the love of his life, the keeper of his heart and his greatest regret. How can life be so cruel? His heart may be broken, but fate’s not done with him yet. Like a melody that’s hard to forget, Scott blows into your mind, laying claim to your heart. The combination of Scott and Powers gives the heart something to sing about.
Starts with Max looking out the body of water that he thinks took his wife Mia away from him. She went out for a swim and disappeared. Max does not want to believe she is dead. The story line drew me and and I could not put it down until it was finished. I recommend this book!!!!!
