Well written sweet and romantic read
Oh my!!! I might have fallen off my seat… This book is so good!!! This romance had so much action, drama, and mystery that I almost forgot about the hea. Hope the rest of the series is this good!!!
3.5 stars
This was a sweet and short book. The Billionaire’s Reluctant Bride is written by Elle. E Kay and it is part of the multi-author series, Blushing Brides series. I had read two of the other books in the series and this book looked really interesting.
The characters were fun and compelling and I really wanted Zach and Addy to find their happy ending. Addy was a sweet character, she liked Zach as a friend and before she knew it she had fallen for him. Zach really cared for Addy but he didn’t know how to tell her, but it was really sweet reading about him falling in love.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this book, but it was pretty cute. The plot kept on twisting and turning and I wanted to find out what would happen. It wasn’t as compelling as I had hoped, but I still enjoyed it. I would recommend The Billionaire’s Reluctant Bride to those who like clean, Christian romance.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
This is a sweet and clean book about high school friends who make good on a marriage pact agreement. I enjoyed the story with the slow romance as well as the suspense thrown in. Definitely worth the listen/read.
The narrator did a very good job.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving this review.
This it the first book I’ve read by Elle E. Kay. I’d read the other books in the series by other authors. This is the story of Zack and Addison. Childhood friend who made a pact that if they hadn’t married by the time they were 29 they’d get married. He’s a billionaire of a tech company. She’s working back home in Pennsylvania. They do end up married on his private island. Wish I was there, sounds beautiful.
They both have to learn to trust God then trust each other. Insecurities, a crazy ex girlfriend all play into the story. Worh your time. Blessings.
What would happen if you made a promise with your best friend in school that if you both were still single when you turned 29 you would get married? Would you go thru with it? That is what happens between Zach and Addison. But so much has changed in their life the last 12 years. And those changes will bring a lot of trouble pouring down on their head. This non stop, up and down relationship will have to be a constant work between Addison and Zach. But it is a exciting read that will keep you guessing and entertained.
This is a very well written book that I really enjoyed reading. It is the story of second chances and is definitely a “feel good” read. I love how the author made God’s forgiveness and the power of prayer a part of this story. You won’t regret getting this book.
It was a feel-good read. The characters were well developed. I enjoyed reading it.
Friends become more…
The title is a little bit misleading. What this really is, is two old friends embarking on a sort of platonic marriage of convenience… until a storm gets in the way giving their old friendship an opportunity to solidify into a nice strong foundation that love begins to build on.
I wasn’t expecting the religious elements, not sure why I missed that in the description, but I liked how it was written and a theme of forgiveness and God’s love was threaded throughout the narrative.

This was a former best friends marriage of convenience romance. Addison and Zach made a pact that if they were still unattached by their twenty ninth birthday they would marry each other. Zach calls Addison up two weeks before that date and proposes. She thinks it’s a joke not realizing until he’s there ready to whisk her off to their wedding that he was serious and she finds herself unable to stop it. They hadn’t really talked much in twelve years, so I was surprised proclaiming that he was now a Christian man although he hadn’t been acting like it that he would try to push intimacy on her so quickly. Addison should have told him why she shied away and wanted to take things slow. But it shouldn’t have been so unexpected that might have been saving herself for marriage. And he definitely should have told her about the psycho ex-girlfriend that would want revenge and try to kill them. There was a lot of back and forth and miscommunications in this clean romance. I did like Zach’s assistant Amy and I wonder if she’ll have a romance with bodyguard Seamus in a future story.
Book three in the The Blushing Brides series a well written story that had me on the edge of my seat. Zachary Williams a small town boy makes it big he is now a Billionaire, but he wants a wife and family. Zachary remembers an agreement he made with his best friend Addison and starts searching for her. After their wedding a hurricane hits leaving the two of them stranded on his island. But they are going to have to handle more than that, there is another woman who will do anything to break them apart. This book has suspense, drama, danger, attempted murder, threats, and romance. I recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this fresh take on a “marriage of convenience” – sort of! It’s really meant to be a “real” marriage but it comes about in a different way. Two 17 year olds make a pact that they will get married if neither are married when they are 29. Addison pretty much forgets about it over the years but Zach doesn’t. He becomes a billionaire software guy and dates a lot but never quite finds the right woman. He fondly remembers his childhood friend, Addison, that always seemed to “get him” and Addison never has luck in love either! This is all at the beginning of the book! They get married and then the challenges begin! I enjoyed how they worked through many obstacles and decided to fight for their marriage and their love for each other because we all know that marriage begins with a deep friendship first! A very entertaining book and good, Christian values!
I enjoyed this sweet read. I read it in less than 24 hours, but only because I wanted my happy ending. If you like clean happy stories I highly recommend The Billionaire’s Reluctant Bride.
I don’t read a lot of contemporary fiction, my preference being historical, but when I do Elle E. kay is one of my favorite authors. I can always count on a fun story, relatable characters, and an inspirational message. After a very long week at work I had the pleasure of sitting down to read The Billionaire’s Reluctant Bride in one sitting. I loved Zachary’s intelligence, integrity, and sense of humor. I was initially frustrated with Addison, but once I realized how deeply hurt she had been, I understood her reticence and inconsistent behavior toward Zach. Zach’s assistant Amy is a sassy, strong secondary character, and I’d love to see her get her own story. The Billionaire’s Reluctant Bride is a delightful escape from everyday issues, yet the book exhorts and encourages readers with messages of faith, forgiveness, and second chances.
I received a copy of this book for free, and a positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
What a great book! The characters were so fun and really made reading this book fun. The romance was great along with a crazy character that brought some action into the story. A beautiful ending that keeps everyone happy including the reader.
The Billionaire’s Reluctant Bride is a well-written second chance romance. Zach and Addison are likable characters that are easy to relate to. They were childhood friends that made a pact as teens to marry each other if they were both single at 29. They had drifted apart as adults, being on opposite coasts hadn’t help. Addison gets a text from Zach before her 29th birthday asking about them getting married. She agrees knowing that he’s just joking–until he shows up at her door. Although both were believers, Zach has not kept himself pure for marriage; and Elle E. Kay handles it perfectly. I’m super picky about this, but the author deals with it in a Biblical and responsible way. The plot has twists and turns and lots of action. The dialogue flows well. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this fantastic book!
Great book!! Loved the story line!
An interesting story based on two 17 year old best friends making a marriage pact. If neither of them are married by age 29 they will marry each other and that is what they do The story had Christian values and faith woven into it, which was nice. There was a lot of excitement with the wedding and honeymoon on Zach’s private island. Zach’s ex-fiancee also added to the excitement when the newlyweds returned to California, however before that the story seemed a little slow at times. In spite of that I could not help but like the two main characters, Zach, and Addison and I want to read other books by this author. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Zach and Abby have been friends since childhood. They made a pact on their birthday if either of one of them isnt married by a certain age they would marry each other. This wasva sweet romance read. I was hooked from the first page. The characters were enjoyable to read about. I was hooked from the first page.
I was provided a free copy of this book by the author/ publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.
Addison and Zach were best friends who made a marriage pact. When Zach holds Addison to it she agrees. But she is reluctant about the physical part. While she feels not good enough for her billionaire husband, a crazy ex-fiance harasses them and even goes so far as to threaten them. They can either let the circumstances make them stronger or break them apart. Maybe letting God lead them will make all the difference if they allow Him to. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
