Penelope Fox thought she was applying to be an assistant to billionaire Drew Preston. With her business savvy, she’s hoping she can help Drew’s successful shipping company reach new heights. Too bad the position she applied for isn’t as his assistant: it’s as his young son’s nanny. With her bank account nearly dry, Penny’s desperate enough to take the job. But when Drew is meeting with the owner … owner of his next potential acquisition, the other man mistakes Penelope for Drew’s wife—and to her surprise, she agrees to play along. Even more shocking? The way she’s beginning to feel about this maddening, passionate man.
Drew learned the hard way to never mix business with pleasure. His ex-wife is proof. But it’s difficult to ignore his attraction to his son’s nanny. There’s more to Penny than meets the eye. She’s as brilliant with business as she is with his son. And with him—in bed. All his orderly lines get all tangled up. Playing along with a fake marriage is one thing. Wishing it was real shakes him to his core.
As the business deal Drew wanted so badly goes south, so does his fledgling relationship with Penny, leaving him wondering if there can be any pleasure in business without Penny by his side.

You have to read to find out and will finish the book in one sitting!
Beautiful love story with lots of drama.
This is a great book with wonderful characters that I didn’t want to put down. When Penny went for her interview the job that she got was as nanny to Logan the boss Mr Preston’s son which also unintentionally pretending to be his wife to seal the sale to his company. However, things got into dangerous terrotary when her feelings for him changed & she started falling in love with him but he made it obvious he didn’t feel the same he also didn’t like her trying to involve herself into his business. After an argument he told her that she was trying to ruin his business saying other hurtful things aswell so although she loved Logan she couldn’t work for Drew anymore & left. It took his brothers making the same comments as Penny about a business deal being iffy for him to realise how wrong he was & how much it hurt being away from her as he loved her. After the way he treated her I didn’t want her to take him back until he did some grovelling which he did & he was also helped by the owner of another company he was trying to buy.

This is book one in the Preston Billionaires series. Penelope is in need of a job and applies to be a nanny, not an assistant. A door into the successful businessman Drew’s world is an in to what she hopes will be a great career. The professional and personal lines between these two blurred. What starts out as a misunderstanding leads to real feelings. Can these two characters admit their feelings for one another and turn their fake relationship into a real one? A great story with equally great characters. This author never disappoints in her stories. Enjoy!

I love this story especially Logan. This is the first book of Preston Billionaires – the three-billionaire brother. This story is about Drew, Logan and Penny. Logan is Drew’s adorable toddler and what keeps them happy. Drew made a mistake years ago of mixing business with pleasure and married the woman that he then divorced. They have a son name Logan and when Drew is out to interview the next candidate for the Nanny position, he has open, he notices a beautiful scene of Logan and Penny together reading a book. Penny on the other hand was hoping to interview for a business position in Drew’s company, but when she realizes that this is for a nanny position, she has no choice but to take it as she is running very low on funds. The story takes off on her first day as a couple that Drew is having dinner with assumes that she is his wife. Neither of them corrects them, and instead play along, but the question is will Drew allow for the past to control his future or not?

The wonderfully written storyline and the strongly created characters captured my attention from the very beginning and the chemistry between Drew and Penny kept me turning the pages until the very end!
The author knows how to tell a story in just a few pages. She can get you engrossed in each character right away. Love this book and the journey.

The Billionaire’s Pretend Wife is the first book in Leslie North’s Preston Brothers series. I quite liked this read. I am a sucker for the single dad. Drew has a little boy, Logan. He’s at the toddler stage and such a sweet character. Penny is a wonderful female character; she is intelligent and sassy, with a beautiful side helping of care and compassion, especially when it comes to Drew’s son. Drew is a powerful businessman, who has trust issues and can’t initially see that this delightful woman has no ulterior motives and is genuinely all she appears to be. Their relationship is a bit of a slow burn but they are well suited for each other. I do wish there was a bit more character development and background.

This is the first book in the Preston Brothers series, it is a standalone story with no cliffhangers and a delightful HEA.
Drew Preston is in need of a nanny for his son, Logan and when he walks in a sees a beautiful woman dealing calmly with Logan, he is instantly captivated. Penny is wanting a new start after the drama she left at home, working as a nanny is a start until she’s mistaken as Drew’s wife and goes along with it. Drew and Penny get closer and have great chemistry between them. There is plenty of drama and emotion in this story. Highly entertaining, can’t wait for the next brother.
Pretend?
Penelope applied for the position of Drew Preston’s nanny thinking she was applying for the assistant position. He soon after asks her to pretend to be his wife after a potential deal depends on him being “married”. How will they straighten the misunderstandings out, or will they? Thoughtful with a lot of humor, Ms. North has given us another terrific read.

The Billionaire’s Pretend Wife is the first book in Leslie North’s Preston Brothers series and provides readers with an entertaining, flowing story of two people who for all appearances, are strong and decisive in their everyday life. But underneath their confident façade, they are two emotionally guarded individuals who have suffered through painful pasts which have left them both wary of entanglements. Penny is a wonderful female character; she is intelligent and sassy, with a beautiful side helping of care and compassion, especially when it comes to Drew’s toddler son, Logan. Drew is a powerful businessman, who has trust issues and can’t initially see that this delightful woman has no ulterior motives and is genuinely all she appears to be. Their relationship evolves as they begin to allow their barriers to fall and discover that a life alone is one of loneliness. I would have liked a little more insight into their backgrounds, but overall a good start to a brand-new series.
Penny has a job interview with Preston Logistics. Drew’s son is in the office, and when he sees Penny with Logan, he knows she’s perfect. To be Logan’s nanny. It could be worse – she’ll be responsible for an adorable little boy, working for a hot and hunky man, with a paycheck AND accommodations. Drew is trying to acquire another company. When the owner mistakes Penny for Drew’s wife, she plays along. And agrees to continue to play along. What could possibly go wrong? This book is a terrific opener to the new series. Penny and Drew have unbelievable chemistry. She keeps a secret regarding her business background, providing a little suspense when it’s uncovered. I’m looking forward to the next book.

A Pretend Family that Melts Your Heart
This is one amazing author who has given us a great storyline and well developed characters. Characters like Penny and Drew who are thrown together due to misunderstandings. One results in her securing a job, it’s not the one she applied for. Drew is so desperate to purchase a company he allows a misunderstanding by then grow with series consequences.
Will those consequences become to big to repair? No HEA? Hmmmm.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book for your reading enjoyment and satisfaction. Peace.

Not sure about Drew.
He’s supposed to be an astute businessman but he mistakes Penelope Fox for a nanny, not executive. So the lunkhead hires her to be his nanny (men always take the easy way) instead of the real position she was actually interviewing her. She is wat overqualified to be a nanny.
Then they end up hooking up (he consistently makes poor decisions, like his ex wife and then blames Penny when a deal goes wrong).
I liked Penny, but she kept getting put into stereotypical boxes and then staying there, first as the nanny, then sleeping with the boss and then taking the fall for the deal.
4.5
As always Leslie North has given us yet another entertaining book. This book was well written with likable characters. A quick, fun read.

Drew is desperate for a nanny for his son so when Penny comes in for a interview and his son likes her he hires her immediately but she thinks she gets hired as his assistant until he tells her all he needs is a nanny and she is almost broke so she takes the job. When he has the clients over for dinner at his home and they thinks she and Drew are married he goes along with it because they want to sell their company to a family man. That starts them off with a lie that she is not happy about but she tells him she is leaving because she can not go along with the lie. When everything comes spilling out the clients want to sell to Drew because they can see that Penny and Drew are meant to be together.
