Theo Cruz, a New York man known for his family’s billion-dollar empire, Cruz Enterprises, has been indicted this afternoon in the Court of Public Opinion on charges of Bro-Code Conspiracy. Chief counsel for the prosecution, Caplin Hawkins, spoke candidly about the accusation. “Once thought of as a best friend to many—including myself—Theo Cruz has officially turned his back on human decency. He’s … human decency. He’s conniving and dishonest, and a habitual offender of Bro-Code Law 676. He’ll rue the day he forgot that you never—under any circumstances—get involved with your best friend’s little sister.”
Fact: I haven’t actually been arrested or indicted.
More important fact: I inadvertently messed up—big-time.
Two strangers in a foreign country, we said hello.
Hello turned into a kiss.
A kiss turned into a rendezvous.
And a rendezvous turned into more than I’d ever imagined.
But her unruly golden curls and beautiful body hid an important detail—She’s my mouthiest billionaire best friend’s forbidden little sister.
Fact: I knew not of my crimes.
More important fact: I know now, but even though I know I’m playing with fire, there’s no way I’m stopping. I can’t leave her alone.
Question: What do you do when you fall for your best friend’s little sister?
More important question: How long can you keep it a secret before it all goes up in flames?
Disclaimer: The Billionaire’s Forbidden Little Sister is a romantic comedy, NOT a taboo romance. We repeat: It is NOT about a billionaire canoodling with his own sister. However, if you find yourself wishing it were, we suggest switching around some names to make it so. We can’t guarantee it won’t be confusing at times, but who knows? It could be just what your doctor ordered.

The one thing I love about Max Monroes books is that they’re light hearted, low drama and fun. The Billionaires Forbidden Little Sister is exactly what I’ve come to expect from these two authors.
Lena has been on a self imposed man ban for the last nine months while she concentrated on her career. Finally getting a week off work before she flies back home, Lena decides to make the most of her vacation and drops her man ban in the hope of finding someone to scratch her itch. Enter Theo Cruz (jeez even his name is hot). This guy won me over so fast, probably faster than he did Lena. It’s not long before they’re spending time together but there’s rules. No names, no strings, just fun. Which works out great until Lena moves back home and who does she bump into but her holiday fling Theo…who just so happens to be her brothers best friend!
This is another great book from these authors. The story had me hooked after the first few chapters, the chemistry between the characters is off the charts and there’s plenty that will have you laughing out loud as you read.
4.5 stars!
Lena is Cap’s sister and from the moment I met her in The Billionaire Book Club I was excited for her story. She’s fun, flirty, and, sexy and has no trouble getting a guy. However, they only seem to distract her so she goes on a man ban so she can focus on her dreams. She has stuck with it for months but now that her friend wants to go out and party to celebrate the holidays, she lifts the ban for one night only.
Theo is a successful business man who is a bit of a control freak and has every minute of every day planned out. He doesn’t have time for relationships working 80+ hours a week growing his very successful business, Cruz Nightlife. He heads to the Amalfi coast for his grand opening of Club Indigo in Positano. He wasn’t planning on hooking up with anyone but when a gorgeous woman catches his attention, he decides a little casual fun can’t hurt.
“She is sex and sin and lust and seduction all rolled into one, and I have never felt more present in a moment than I do in this one.
Normally, my brain is going a mile a minute, obsessed with work, planning and plotting and always looking five steps ahead to the future.
But not right now. Not here. Not with her.
Right now, I’m a man dancing with a woman—one who screams trouble and spontaneity and wild, passionate sex.”
Theo and Lena have a week long rendezvous that turns out to be the best week of their lives. They connect. They have fun. They turn up the heat and they don’t want to let go. But at the end of the week they part ways with only first names and unforgettable memories to take with them.
I love brother’s best friend/forbidden romance storylines and I thought this one was really well done. Well-paced and full of humor, heart, and a whole lot of heat, it was easy to get sucked into the story. Theo and Lena clicked immediately and I felt their connection. Their easy banter is entertaining and the smoking hot chemistry is believable. I felt every heated glance, every seductive touch, and every moment that these two fell a little harder.
“You don’t ever do first and think later?”
I shake my head. “Never.”
“Really?”
I nod. “Really.”
“So, you really are Mr. Serious, huh?”
“I guess so,” I say with a shrug.
She studies me closely. “You’ve sure been smiling a lot at me, though.”
I laugh, completely entranced by just how true a statement that is. “I know.” I shake my head. “Trust me, I know.”
I loved them the first time they spent time together but I fell for them harder the second time around. It’s hilarious when these two meet again. A total surprise, they don’t know quite what to do about it. Finding their way back to each other while navigating a forbidden relationship since Cap would never approve made things more intense and exciting. They consume each other and have no trouble taking risks to be together.
“We’ve gone mad. Insane. We’re playing with fire right now, but fuck if I’m looking for water to put out the flames.”
I loved how Lena and Theo’s love story unfolded and I couldn’t get enough of them. They are sweet characters to adore and I am so glad we got another wonderful billionaire romance!
And the rest of the billionaires who make an appearance? They are still awesome and every interaction is fantastic. I can’t even think up the stuff that comes out of their mouths and I love it all. I look forward to getting more glimpses into all of their lives when the next Billioniare Collection book releases!!
4 1/2
Once again the sense of humour in this story is outstanding. The Christmas Vacation reference got me just as I was taking a sip of my cuppa- spitting tea as I literally laughed out loud visualising Brogan as Uncle Eddie! Lena’s description of Pippa’s breasts when dancing was hilarious. Sensational expressions and descriptions are literally found all of the way through the book. For example-“The proof is in the bubble-bath meet-and-greet pudding.’ And.. “Holy Sunday dresses after midnight booty calls…” so good and so funny. That’s why I gave it the extra half a star, such brilliant humour.
Theo Cruz is all sorts of gorgeous. He’s an extremely hardworking and dedicated man. Finding time for pleasure isn’t something he excels at though. Lena Hawkins is without doubt an absolute sweetheart. She is perfect for Theo with her quirky, confident ways. Their chemistry is off the charts and the passion is blue flame hot. There’s just the little issue of Cap’s being Lena’s older brother and one of Theo’s best friends!
The characters in the story are so much fun and it’s great catching up with them all again. Carey Matthews, Theo’s personal assistant, needs a special mention as he is fantastic. His flamboyant style is wonderful but it’s his honesty with his sassy comebacks that crack you up. He puts the capital D in drama queen and rightly so too.
I thoroughly enjoyed this extremely entertaining romantic comedy and recommend it to everyone.
Lena’s story! In Italy for her studies, Lena has finished school and decides to let loose as a reward for working so hard at school and before her internship back home. On her holiday, she ends up meeting Theo and has a whirlwind romance with him that they both agree ends when she leaves for home. While neither of them want to end things, Lena decides it’s best and leaves without saying goodbye, and they get back to their lives. Little do they know that they know each other through Lena’s brother Caplin, and after much almost sightings, the pair end up seeing each other and realizing the connection. The storyline of them not realizing they know each other is almost as hilarious as their back and forth romance, but once they decide they are committed to each other, their relationship (while secret) is so cute for them! But when Caplin figures things out, and Lena runs away from the relationship, the question remains if Caplin is ok with it and if they will make their way back to each other. After reading most of the books in this series, I continue to love it because of the connection and recognition from storyline to storyline and the continued backstory for the previous books. I can’t wait to see who’s next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I didn’t think it could be possible but Max Monroe you went way beyond my expectations with The Billionaires Forbidden Little Sister.
First we had the original Billionaire Bad Boys and I fell in love with Thatch. How could you top Thatch? You gave us the newer Billionaires and Cap Hawkins. When you thought what could get better than Thatch, Cap, and ALL the Billionaires plus their book club we get Lena, Cap’s little sister, and Theo, one of Cap’s billionaire best friends. If you don’t bust out laughing reading the disclaimer and dedication then you will definitely ruin your make up and pants reading the first chapter with Theo and Carey. Not only are the main characters lovable but the secondary ones really need their own little novellas. I would LOVE a Carey short story. Bringing in all the billionaires and bringing the book club back is the best thing ever! I can’t get enough. And speaking of not being able to get enough……holy chemistry with Lena and Theo. They can’t keep their hands off each other even after finding out that Lena is Cap’s little sister and would not approve.
Max and Monroe, thank you so much for these lovable, sexy, fun characters. Keep on writing. I’ll keep reading.
Leave it to MM to always make me smile and give me new characters to love. And women to have girl crushes on. Lena is worthy of all the girl crushes because she is funny, fierce, and independent. Of course, MM to lead the pack in the female billionaire romance trope. Don’t get me wrong—I love the male billionaire trope, too. But it’s a breath of fresh air to have both the hero and heroine on even footing.
What can I say about Theo except that he’s the Kline to Cap’s Thatch: sweet, irresistible, and fun. Lena and Theo together are impossible not to love.
4 stars!
Another Max Monroe gem! I love these characters and the friendships they all share. To me, that’s my favorite part of the Billionaire series over and above the romance. But let’s not forget about the romance.
I thought Theo and Lena were so good for each other. Theo supported Lena and encouraged her with her career and independence. And Lena helped Theo loosen up and embrace the fun side of life. They were so good together. Right away their chemistry and sense of home just jumped right off the page. This book made me laugh and smile and there was even a scene between Theo and Cap that actually made me tear up a bit.
I highly recommend this sexy and entertaining gem!
**ARC generously provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review**
I said in my review for My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend that Lena needed her own story, as I just knew it was going to be something special. And let me tell you that Max Monroe absolutely nailed her story. It was so hot and sexy and sweet and funny……..did I mention hot already?? Lena found the most incredible and perfect man for her in Theo. Crazy how two people that were so connected (but had never met) in NYC found each other in Italy. From that week they spent together in Positano to their unexpected reunion at a fashion show to everything that happened afterward, I just loved every minute of their story together. One of my favorite couples from this writing duo.
Oh Theo! Excuse me for a minute while I swoon a little harder for this dreamy guy. He is perfect! The way he treats Lena is how every girl should want to be treated. He respected her and her dreams. I have to admit for as much as I love Lena, she ticked me off with the way she treated Theo. She let her insecurities get in her way. I’m just so happy she came to her senses, because she and Theo have incredible chemistry. I thought my kindle my blow up!
I can’t forget to mention all my favorite characters, because in true Max Monroe fashion, I laughed out loud throughout this book due to their antics. I mean Brogan was absolutely HILARIOUS! Thatch and his emotions, HILARIOUS! Pippa, Cap, and the whole gang gave me nothing but laughs. Speaking of Pippa, I sure hope they give her a book.
Billionaire Romance | Romantic Comedy
Max Monroe knows how to churn out laugh out loud FUNNY books. I can’t remember reading one that didn’t make me giggle like a school girl. This is the reason I ALWAYS purchase their books. I read a lot of emotionally heavy novels so being able to turn to an author I know that will have me hooting with laughter is a necessity for me! The Billionaire’s Forbidden Little Sister definitely took the edge off for me and I really enjoyed reading it from beginning to end. I think I even read it in less than 24 hours because I was enjoying it so much. So if you’re looking for a book with a whole lot of fun you won’t want to miss this one!
5 plus stars
I would give this book 10 stars if I could!
It was absolutely hilarious!!
The talented Rom com authors have nailed this story to perfection!
It was so incredibly entertaining, I laughed so hard, even shed tears from laughing but also from a few sad moments but all in all, I have to say best book of this series!
My choice for best rom com of 2019!
I loved everything about both Lena and Theo!
Lena was sassy, had fantastic friends and an Italian rendezvous with a man was just what she needed!
Theo was the dream man! Yes there were rules to their fling but when they meet up again, lets just say the ride is incredibly steamy and with so much witty banter you have to stop yourself from snort laughing!
I loved both their circle of friends and would dearly love to be a part of the madness! But what happens when Lena’s brother finds out what’s been going on??!!! Oh boy! Can they get past it!?
I could go on but I wont! This is a story that is a must read!! Why??
Because its entertainingly hilarious with an ending that will melt your heart and characters that will stay in your mind forever!
Gahhhh I love these characters I didn’t expect Lena and Theo to match up after the last book I assumed it would be Lena and Harrison who would hit it off after torturing Cap so much but when they say opposites attract boy do they where Theo is regimented Lena is a fly by the seat of your pants kind of girl together they balance each other out perfectly not to mention the spark they set off with the amount of chemistry pouring off the pages they might just be my favorite Max Monroe couple yet
Theo is a workaholic so relationships are the last thing on his radar. The one thing he always makes time for is his crew of best buddies and their ‘book club.’ Heading to Italy to open his latest night club, he never expects to meet a woman that would want him to pause working. Lena has been floundering in her life. Having a family with money made it easy to not commit to anything but she is taking ownership of her life and pursuing her passion for fashion design. Having finished her classes, a week in Positano is just what the doctor ordered to destress before her internship begins. Now, she has sworn off men but for one night decides to give up her ban. Meeting sexy Theo at the club is unexpected but when he helps her wrangle her drunk best friend, well, he proves he is more than a pretty face. One week, no strings, nothing personal and then they both move on. Now, these two set the bed sheets on fire so can they really walk away? I was shocked when they did but then a chance meeting in NY has Theo realizing Lena is his best friend’s little sister. Uh oh. They can’t deny their connection but can Lean overcome her fears that her evil mother has instilled in her to let herself truly be happy. Will Cap forgive Theo when he finds out? So much fun along the way as these two relationship newbies find strength and love with each other.
The Billionaire’s Forbidden Little Sister by Max Monroe is the story of Theo and Lena. If you read the previous book ‘The Billionaire Book Club’ then you will see some of the previous characters in this book. Lena is the sister to Caplin and Theo is of course Caplin’s friend. So with that said this can be a standalone book but just wanted to point that out if you enjoyed that book you might want to continue the love with this book. This is a funny romance story where Lena is in Milan for a year to study fashion and Theo is there for one of his newer clubs. That just happen to meet and of course the sparks flew through them which made it hard for them to turn away from that feeling.
Fun and easy read!
I can’t get enough of these men! Each one gets better and better!
Oh, Theo, how I love watching the serious ones fall. This boy is all work and no play until one day…he isn’t. And when Theo loosens up, he really loosens up. This man is dreamy – smart, successful, and incredibly sexy, Theo is quite the catch. He’s charming, sweet, and a true gentleman, but he knows when to turn on the dirty. It’ll take you two point five seconds to fall in love with him.
Lena is unapologetically awesome! She’s sassy, unfiltered, and loves to tell it like it is. She doesn’t hold back. She’s loud, boisterous, and always the life of the party (personality traits that must run in the family seeing as Cap, her brother, is exactly the same way). She doesn’t need anyone to help her achieve her goals, and her headstrong determination is admirable.
I love Theo and Lena together! From their first encounter to all the surprises that follow, these two just seem to fit together perfectly. Lena has an amazing way of pulling Theo out of his work bubble and he gives her the support she needs to reach for her dreams. They’re fun, quirky, and sometimes awkward, but they always have heat in spades. And of course, their story wouldn’t be complete without all the crazy shenanigans that come with Cap, Thatch, and all the other Billionaire Book Club members.
This book is another in a long line of fantastic rom-com reads from this duo of authors. I highly recommend snagging this book and all the other Billionaire books too! You won’t regret it!
Lena and Theo have instant chemistry. They do not realize how closely they are connected as they enjoy a rendezvous together that is wild, steamy, and very special. So many good scenes to love. Ultimately, they overcome the things that keep them apart in order to get their HEA.
The description of Italy makes me want to go visit so badly! Theo is hot, hot, hot: one of my favorite billionaires. Lena is a wild, sexy girl who is confident in herself most of the time. Together they make each other better and the heat between them is serious stuff.
We get to see little of all of our billionaire couples and that makes me want to go back and reread all the other books.
Don’t miss this one. 4.5 stars
Max Monroe ha e another winner. Well done ladies. WHAT!!! Theo in a helicopter dressed to the nines with no pants on. Now that’s a way to start a story to get your attention. Let the shenanigans begin. I’m not sure how a 28 year old is friends with a 21 year old but ok. Theo, rich, sexy, and dimples that is so unfair for any women to resist. Yes please. By the way all the friend shipping that Theo and Lena did was hotter than jalapeño pepper. The boys are funny as always. Their definitely good for some laughs. As awe inspiring as Theo was I can’t say the same for Lena. I didn’t take to her. She was flighty, indecisive, and to immature for her old age. I’m also not a fan of Grandpa Merel He is a the dirty old man and that’s just not funny to me. I didn’t understand his Theo and Cap were supposed to be best friends yet Theo had never met Cap’s sister Lena. To me it was unrealistic. I personally have met my best friends family. For the few things that I disliked about the book the boys made up for. I so love the billionaire boys especially the original three, Kline, Thach, and Wes. I really did enjoy the book. If your in need of a hilariously laugh out loud adventure read all Max Monroe books. I promise you will feel better. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Gah!!! I loved The Billionaire’s Forbidden Little Sister!!! From page one this book had me hooked! Lena is Caplin’s little sister. She off in Italy living her dream by attending a fashion school. She meets Theo, Caplin’s good friend and fellow book club member, when her and her friends take a vacation on the Italian coast. They have some serious chemistry and decide to spend time together without last names or any personal information. All good things must come to end though….rule #5. To bad neither one really wanted it to end. Thank God for NY fashion week. This is seriously laugh out loud hysterical and off the charts hot AF!!! I think this may be my new favorite Max Monroe book. One of my favorite highlights of this book…..the Billionaire book club meetings!!!
I’ve wanted a story about Lena Hawkins since she was introduced in My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend, when we met her at the coffee shop that her father bought for her when she turned 18, where Maybe Willis liked hanging out. Right away, I knew she’d be a great leading lady. Sister to Caplin Hawkins, overprotective brother and Billionaire Lawyer to too many CEOs to name (most of the Billionaire series heroes included). Growing up wealthy didn’t do Lena any favors with figuring out what she wanted to be when she grew up. Having Victoria Hawkins as a mother, difficult to say the least, also factored in her life choices. Thankfully, her brother and father always had her back. At the end of Maybe’s book, Lena had decided to go to Fashion School in Milan, Italy.
This story opens nine months later with Lena and a couple of classmates celebrating the end of their exams, before heading off in different directions for their 3-month internships in the Fashion Industry. Thankfully, Lena’s headed back to NYC to intern with a great designer. They decide to go to a resort in Positano, Italy to spend have some R&R in the sun. Her classmate, Pippa talks Lena into dropping her “self-inflected man ban” on their first night, let her hair down and have a little fun.
This is when she meets Theo. Handsome, debonair, Theo… Things start to heat up with just a kiss, until Pippa turns in to a sloppy drunk and Theo helps Lena get Pippa back to their hotel room to sleep it off. They try again the next night, where they get a little steamy in the pool, but once again drunk Pippa makes an appearance. When they finally get together, sparks fly and they spend as much time together as they can. Early on, they agree not to exchange names and personal information. When her vacation ends, so does their time together. Lena finds it too hard to say goodbye in person, so she leaves a note for Theo with the front desk.
This guy she spent all her time with is none other than Theo Cruz, part of the Cruz Empire, founder of all of the Cruz Nightclub, Billionaire… and one of his best friend’s is Lena’s brother, Cap. Theo gets back to New York to enjoy the co-ed Bachelor party thrown for his friend’s Milo and Maybe (yes, that Maybe). It’s there he comes face to face with Lena. Knowing how Cap feels about his sister (remember I said he’s overprotective), Theo pretends to be meeting her for the first time.
The heat is still steamy between them, but they know they need to keep it quiet to not wake the Caplin Beast, at least until they come to terms with what they have together. And once Cap figures it out, Theo better beware. But he isn’t the real issue in their relationship. During a dinner with the Hawkins’ family, Lena has a run in with her mother, which leaves her unsettled enough to break Theo’s heart.
Can Lena really have it all? A career she loves and a man, as well. Or is she just kidding herself thinking she can make it in the world of Fashion? You just need to read this book to find out. Once again, we have appearances by all the Billionaires and a return of The Billionaire Book Club. If you love to laugh, this fluffing series is definitely for you!
The Billionaire’s Forbidden Little Sister is the latest Billionaire rom-com from Max Monroe, and I swear they just keep getting better and better!
I only discovered Max Monroe a few months ago, but I have absolutely loved and laughed my way through each book I’ve read. But this one is extra special, and definitely my favorite.
Lena & Theo are just amazing, two of my favorite characters I’ve read recently and ones that definitely wormed their way into my heart. There was just something about them I couldn’t get enough of, and I’m not sure if I loved them more as a couple or individual characters. I loved how driven they each were, wanting to make sure they succeeded for themselves and not just others. Their chemistry was off the charts, banter addicting, and love so sweet. And getting them as strangers as well as in their own elements was the cherry on top.
And even better than a hilarious rom-com with plenty of steam and amazing main characters? Getting to revisit the Billionaire Book Club, complete with the incredible men that make it up! I swear Max Monroe has created such incredibly funny characters and stories, and I would love to see them get their own tv show!
If you’re looking for a book to leave you laughing and swooning at the same time this is definitely it!
