Jess Green has had to fight for everything she has. When she sees her future about to slide into an abyss thanks to an offhand comment made by her sexy but oblivious boss, Alistair Beaumont, she decides to take things into her own hands. Everyone in the financial world knows the Beaumont brothers need to settle down else the company that Jess depends upon will go under. So when Alistair is … overheard discussing his disbelief in love and marriage the company stock price plunges. When Alistair suffers a bout of amnesia on a skiing trip, Jess sees a way to save the company and decides to tell him one teeny, tiny lie: she’s his fiancé.
Alistair loves one thing and one thing only—his freedom—and certainly not the girl he finds in his bed, claiming to be his future wife. Amnesia or not, something’s not right. Sure, she’s got that girl-next-door sexiness about her, and his attraction to her is powerful, but deep in his gut he’s rebelling against the idea of being tied down. However, snowed in and isolated from the world in an exclusive lodge, Alistair begins to believe they are a couple and against all odds, he actually finds himself falling in love.
But when Alistair gets his memories back, will he choose to stay with Jess who he can’t get out of his mind—or out of his heart—or will he choose to take back the freedom he’s always craved?

Another fantastic story by the author. Well written plot, that kept me on the edge with each turn of the page. Can’t wait for more !
Alistair and Jess work together and have been hiding secrets from each other, when Alistair goes to Austria on holiday Jess never expected to rush to his aid when he has an accident. What starts as Jess thinking a little lie will help the business, she never thought feelings would be brought forward and complicated everything. When everything goes wrong can Alistair and Jess find there way to there HEA or will grudges be held to long. Very good book looking forward to book 3.

Alistair is a total bonehead.
He clings to his freedom with a tenacity that is surreal.
Alistair is a major playboy. A manho, his grandfathers will stipulates he needs to marry. So he orchestrated a fake fiancée and then looses his memory.
His assistant Jess steps in to play his fiancée as she knows him so well.
They connect cuz he’s half in love with her any way, but for two years plowed through so many hookups.
I liked Jess and she deserved better to be kicked to the curb for over half a year once his memory returned and he gets engaged to Abby. While she’s left fired and pregnant.
Alistair needed to grovel a whole lot more.

A great romance story featuring a boss with amnesia who doesn’t believe in love and marriage and the woman who saves his company by telling him she’s his fiancée. Will he choose to stay with Jess who he can’t get out of his mind—or out of his heart—or will he choose to take back the freedom he’s always craved?

Another awesome read by Leslie!
Leslie is one of my top ten authors and I absolutely enjoyed the 2nd book in the Beaumont Brothers series. Jess receives a call when her boss, Alistair suffers from amnesia after a skiing accident. Jess tasked with finding her boss the ideal girlfriend, substitutes herself as his fiancée at his brother’s suggestion. What happens when Alistair recovers his memory, will keep you page turning till you reach the end of the book.
This story is simply one of the better ones I have read in a long time – WOW – it is simply smashing. The only thing missing in this story is the villain – but he or she is not really neccessary anyways when you have a really good romance in your hands. This is simply I think almost the romance of the year for me. It was so heartfelt, it was nice, romantic, sorrowful, fun, exciting, realistic somehow, and a lot more that I am not so good at describing, thus I read and write the reviews and don´t write the stories as my imagination could never take me where authors such as this manages to take me in one book that only takes a short evening to read. But I am also such a wuss, so if you are like that also, be prepared to have one or two tissues at hand. All in all, just really great story and thus is getting the seldomly given out five stars.

This is a sweet read, a friends to lovers romance really. These two work closely together and never truly realized their feelings for one another. When he has amnesia and she says she’s his fiancée, he falls for her along the way. Unfortunately, the lie told to help him destroys what they have and nothing is right again. The final HEA is breathtaking and I loved it!

This was a great read it is the second book in the series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. This is Jess and Alistair’s story and was a really good interesting read though Jess really did not think things through what can possibly go wrong when she ends up pretending to be her bosses fiancee when he has amnesia. This is a really good addition to the series and I would recommend it
This was a marvelous book. It was a wonderful story. I could not put this one down. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This book was absolutely wonderful. It was sweet and endearing. The emotional aspects of the characters was spot on. The twist in the plot made the story entertaining. The ending was so sweet and heartwarming. An overall great book.

She was looking to find a way to save her job when she flew off to Austria. Alistair really put his foot in his mouth this time when he said he didn’t believe in love or the trappings of marriage. When he had his accident it couldn’t have come at a better time for Jess. Using the ruse of being his fiancé with his temporary memory loss was brilliant. But will this ruse come back and bite her in the butt when feelings start to surface?

A Delightful Contemporary Romantic Read
This is Book 2 of Leslie North’s The Beaumont Brothers Series. This storyline’s focal point is the youngest brother, Alistair and his PA, Jess. Like book 1 the overarching theme remained the same, the brothers must marry in order to remain in control of their company. Alistair has decided to tackle this issue by having his PA conduct interviews and find his “wife”. Circumstances change by way of amnesia in Austria and Jess playing is fiancé. What could go wrong? Plenty!
Just like book 1, this is a well written storyline that engages you immediately. The characters are minimal and the chemistry enchanting. This also has a strong female character which I hope will continue in book 3 as we still have to see what happens to the eldest brother. I’m recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment.

This is a well written book with an entertaining story line. The characters are strong and well developed and the story has an interesting plot. The author brings drama, tons of emotions and a few twists and keeps you reading to the end. I enjoyed reading Jess and Alistair’s story.

I like second chance romances. Even though this felt like three chances that Alistair had to be in a relationship with Jessica/Jess. The first time was when they first met, then Austria and then back in Seattle. I feel Jess took the fake relationship too far when she became intimate with Alistair. She knew when he gained his memory back he would remember that she worked for him and was not his fiancée. She also knew that she ran the risk of losing her job. But, she went full steam ahead anyway. I feel Alistair reacted appropriately towards Jess when he found out her lie. I feel that Jess did not want to take any responsibility because she said that she did not come up with the idea. True, but Gregor did not tell her to become intimate with him. I felt sorry for Jess and in a certain way, she truly was pathetically way over her head. Overall it was a nice little story that ended on a good note. This is a very entertaining read. I really enjoyed the story line and I liked the characters. I was a bit surprised to find myself feeling bad for Jess. What she was doing was wrong but it was easy for me to see that she was going to end devestaded when the charade came to an end. I fell for Jess and Alistair. There is plenty of drama, twists, tension and emotions to keep you completely engaged with this enjoyable romance.
