They say you shouldn’t fake it… gain.
But here I am, pretending to be a blushing bride,
And pretending not to notice how drop-dead sexy Jesse is the moment I met him.
With his looks, money and charisma he can have any woman alive,
And he knows it.
That whole cocky, arrogant ahole thing…so not my type.
Even if his wandering eyes suddenly seem to only want me.
I promised myself one rule throughout this agreement, Don’t fall.
Don’t fall prey to his irresistible allure…not going so well.
Don’t fall into his bed…it was only one time!
And absolutely don’t fall in love…oops.
I’m starting to realize that pretending I’m not in love with Jesse Halstead,
Just might be the hardest thing I’ll ever fake.
Do I risk telling him how I feel?
Or is falling for my fake husband just flirting with disaster?
As always, lots of love and romance with a happily ever after and no cheating! Adults Only!

Finally Ben’s story. He comes off as arrogant, cocky and knows what he wants and will do anything for it. Ben made his money through hard work with his 3 best friends and partners in their investments. He is the last of the 4 to fall in love and find a forever women. Kate was crushing on Ben but he was not letting it go anywhere until one night. Kate thought Ben was a single father of Olivia but that was Joey and Angel’s daughter. At first Ben thinks Kate is desperate and needy. Kate is a successful woman at her place of work. She is fighting for a promotion with Chuck. Ben agrees to be Kate’s fake fiancé for a work dinner. Kate thought it was for one night but they just couldn’t stay away from each other. Things heat up between them and then it turns into a real fiancé. Now all of the 4 guys have a relationship that they weren’t looking for. Love this series and can’t wait for the next book to come out. Thanks Lauren.
Jesse’s grandfather is dying and would like to see him settled before he passes. Jesse is used to his playboy ways but he signs up for a marriage in name only to please his grandfather by getting married. However nothing prepared him for being attracted to his wife to be when he meets Maya. Maya is sinking in debt and a friend mentions to her about wealthy men looking for women to marry in name only. Maya doesn’t believe it but in a drunken moment she signs up. When she meets Jesse sparks fly between them and she doesn’t know if she can only be a wife in name only. Will Jesse see how perfect Maya is for him and keep her as his own? Can Maya show Jesse that they can be something more together?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Jesse is feeling pressure to marry before his Grandfather passes away. His friends tell him a way he can hire a wife. Maya is a struggling artist on the brink of eviction who applies and the story takes off from there. The surprise twists will make Maya rethink the situation.
Jesse Haldstead is the last Halstead bachelor and his grandfather wants nothing more than to see all his grandsons happily married before he passes away. Will Jesse go as far as going to an agency where he can sign a contract and have new bride with no strings attached? Yes, and this is how he meets Maya. Maya has signed up with this agency because she is broke and needs the money.
Lauren does a great job of bringing us a story that is super easy to ready and fall in love with. The chemistry between Maya and Jesse is steamy and yet they both are trying so hard to keep the relationship on a business level. I loved the way she slowly draws the main characters together and yet throws a few twists in her story. This is a quick fun read and one worth adding to the collection
Maya is a struggling artist, her friend (Margo) suggest that she should signup to a rich person matchmaking site. It could solve all her money problems, and she signup but doesn’t remember doing it. Jesse wants to make his Grandfather happy, and get married, but he doesn’t want to be committed forever to it, so he goes to a place that matches him to Maya. They both didn’t expect the sparks that fly between them. Maya is just the woman to charm his family, but will this stay professional between them, or become something more? I enjoyed Jesse and Maya’s story, they both were easy to like, and steamy together, but sometimes I was frustrated with some of the decisions that Maya made.
I thought that this was a very good read. Maya and Jesse’s story was a little bit funny, a little bit sweet and a whole lot steamy and quite fun. I loved their chemistry and sparks that flew between these two. I really enjoyed this author’s take on the fake marriage trope. The writing was solid and the addition of plenty of feels, emotional turmoil and some drama helped to create a simply enjoyable romance. I am posting an independent, impartial review.
