Her only goal is to get a green card so she can push her way back into the New York restaurant scene and finally get the chance to be head chef at one of the top restaurants in the city.

He has no intention of falling in love ever again. But the isolation is getting to him, and he longs for someone to share his life with.
An email-order bride arrangement seems like the perfect solution to both their problems.
The one thing they didn’t count on was falling in love.

A delightful romance about following your heart, discovering your best self and choosing love. Perfect for fans of Inglath Cooper, Robyn Carr and Debbie Macomber.

I thought the story was cute, though I had a little trouble connecting with the characters and getting into the story. I would probably have given it 3.5 stars just because I’ve listened to other stuff by Vivi Holt recently that I liked better. I’d recommend this story to listeners looking for a clean romance that develops at a reasonable pace with some ups and downs and an HEA.
I listened to the Audible version and Amanda Stribling did a fabulous job with the narration.

In Aid of My Career
I always enjoy author Vivi Holt’s nimble imagination. In this story, two characters, both career-driven and finding themselves in need of a spouse, are matched by an agency; seems they each also need redemption–from their own self-imposed family hangups. The added twist includes some very long trans-Pacific flights from the US to Australia and back. Voice artist Amanda Stribling does not attempt broad Aussie (which would, frankly, be harder for most U.S. listeners to understand fully “on the fly” if listening while engaging in other activities) but gives a lovely soft twist to the vowels which approximates without exaggerating the sound. [NOTE: I am not “dissing” ANY pronunciations since regional differences make for delightful variety and help identify and define.] A fun story!
This is the second book in the Email-Order Romance Series. The story is a standalone story in the Series. John and Eve’s story is sweet and clean. Amanda Stribling did a great job with the narration.
Eve is an aspiring Chef from Australia, living in NYC and about to start a new job at an upscale restaurant. Unfortunately, something has gone wrong with her work Visa and she is at risk of losing everything.
Meanwhile, John is a successful CEO in Atlanta, much too busy to have time to date, much less have a true relationship. When he receives an invitation to his 10 year High School reunion, he decides to take the plunge and attend. Only one problem: who can he take to the reunion in order to show the girl who jilted him for his best friend that he has moved on?
When John’s brother mentions a email-order bride service, he is skeptical. Eve happens to see an ad for the same service and the fates intervene to make sure that they get together.
If you enjoy reading clean romance, especially mail-order bride romance, you should give this book a chance. Reminiscent of the mail-order brides common during the Old West era, but with a modern twist.
Will these two people who just want companionship and convenience learn to love each other? Will their pasts allow them to trust in love again?
Ms. Holt does a great job in writing wonderful characters and engaging situations. Her books are always enjoyable and the reader can trust that there will be a HEA worthy of Hollywood. The narrator, Amanda Stribling, does a great job and her performance does a lot to add to the listener’s enjoyment of the book.
I was given the opportunity to listen to the Audible version of this book by the author and chose to review it.
In this story each character chose to enter into a companionable marriage. It’s easy to love when you are being kind to each other. They each listened to each other and love developed between them. This story hits all the highs and lows of living with a stranger. With the marriage bond between them they try to work things out, but when things don’t seem permanent, I found Eve a very selfish person. John tried very hard in this relationship, but when push came to shove; he couldn’t overcome Eve’s ambition. His only choice was to let her go. The climax of this story is very slow in coming, but John being a CEO is very deliberate in his planning. You’ll love the ending, and everything is not resolved. Eventually, I knew it would be.
The Billionaire’s Email-Order Bride
Email-Order Romance, Book 2
By: Vivi Holt
Narrated by: Amanda Stribling
I love this update to the mail order brides of the old west. Today everything is digital so why wouldn’t finding a bride be too? When John Russo needs a date for his reunion, he goes one step further and decides to find a bride. This way he will have a permanent date, no expectations and life will be easy. Eve Partridge wants to stay in the states and work as a chef, but finds herself close to deportation. Finding a husband is the solution to her problem. But when John and Eve meet, and get to know each other, this turns out to be much more than a business arrangement. I love Vivi Holt’s style of writing. She makes her stories flow, gives me the escape I need and always has a great story. Eve and John come from different worlds. John is about big business, making real estate deals and not worrying about the little guy. Eve is the little guy. These two both clash and compliment each other. It’s a fun listen, and we even get a little vacation to Australia!
Amanda Stribling does a wonderful job with her portrayal of this book. She has a large array of voices, and she uses them well with the many characters, especially in the restaurant! I love her Australian accents for Eve and her family. Stribling truly brings this story to life with her ability to draw your emotions out. You feel both sides of this relationship through her and can’t decide who to like more! I love her narrations.

Cute and Clean Billionaire Romance
This is a cute and clean billionaire romance that has NYC, Atlanta, and Brisbane as the backdrops. There is plenty of rich lifestyle and jet-setting around. There is also a very sweet and simple story of a fake relationship becoming a real love story. This author always puts together a nice story with lots of heart and this is no exception. I received this story for free and this is my honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Billionaire’s Email-Order Bride. It was a short, fun, clean story with interesting characters and a few surprises in the plot. Eve and John were both very interesting. They would solve each other’s problem. This book held my attention from page one!
The Billionaire’s Email-Order Bride ( Email-Order Romance – Book 2 )
By: Vivi Holt
The Billionaire’s Email-Order Bride is book two in Email-Order Romance series. I had not heard https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2734269674 Email-Order Bride till I started reading this series. I was hooked shortly after starting ,and I could not put it down. I really enjoyed the story and the characters, both were well written. Eve looses her visa at a time when a chance for a life time for a job comes up, what will she do, she does not want to leave the USA? John, a Billionaire Entrepreneur , has a wounded heart , but is not looking for love. He is only looking for a companion and someone to share his life with. There is attraction between these two, but neither is looking for love. This story warm my heart and at times I felt sorry for them. There was times when I just wanted to tell them off.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
What an fabulous read! I really enjoyed the characters and how they started changing throughout the book, maturing. The plot pulls the reader in from the beginning and keeps them held captive. Lessons of forgiveness and letting go of the past to forge a new life brought this story to an incredible end.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
-‘“An email-order bride…So, we’d actually be married, but it’d be like a business arrangement?” “Yeah, you’d have a companion, a date for the reunion, someone to come home to at night, but you could probably set it up to be however you want it. If you don’t want romance, just say that up front. I was thinking of doing it myself.”’-
I loved Lucy McConnell’s “Brides” series, which is why I was so intrigued when I read the synopsis for this book. I was pleased that, while the style of writing and storylines are very different, it was equally as interesting and fun to read. It’s a clean, sweet romance, suitable for all ages, a contemporary twist on mail-order brides. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it. 5 stars
