Book four sees Cross being investigated by the tax office, he knows it’s all a load of rubbish, but the young lady they send to investigate him has him thinking all manner of things (and maybe even what his friends have) but he won’t make it easy for her, a chase has his blood pumping and the prize could be the one thing he doesn’t have in his life, it’s all to play for, and Cross wants to play for keeps…..
Jessa has a man in her sights, but it’s not for fun or pleasure, Jessa is a tax investigator. And the man is her sights is none other than Cross Ronstein, he maybe gorgeous, but that won’t stop Jessa finding out his secrets. And if he’s guilty of not declaring all his money.
Yes Cross has a lot of money, and no he doesn’t shout it out, but he’s not a dishonest man. And leading this woman around, proves to be a great distraction.
It’s a fun read, two people who really don’t get along, but all that changes along the way.
I love Tracey’s books.
A tax investigation turns into a comedy of errors when Cross ignores the warning from Jessa, the tax investigator, not to leave the country. One thing leads to another as Jessa is so determined not to let Cross out of her sight, that she ends upon following him across the world to prove her point. Instead, she finds that the domineering billionaire is a gentleman, that he cares deeply for people and that he’s protective. Fortunately, Jessa’s skillset opens the way for him to discover some truths as well. There are some laugh out loud moments in this book as well as warm-hearted romance, as the mismatched pair fall into a relationship that benefits both of them. The story is a standalone and comes to a good conclusion, taking Cross off the hook when it comes to fulfilling the billionaire’s bet. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Cross Ronstein is a secret billionaire who is having a tax audit done. He does not mind the tax audit when he takes a look at who is doing the audit. He is besotted. Jesse Collins has been investigating the group of secret billionaires and their finances. The sparks fly.
This is a hot contemporary romance. What starts off as two people on opposites sides of a situation ends with them putting that aside to be together. The characters are interesting, well developed and flawed. The storyline is easy to read and has some heat to it. It is a well written romance that you can read in an evening. The series is light an fun. Enjoy.
I have read three of the four books in this series and liked them all. However, this was my least favorite. It had nothing to do with Jessa and Cross. I liked both their characters and thought they were good together. They had chemistry and good banter. All the books have been short stories, but this seemed to be the shortest and I was left feeling like it cut off just as Jessa and Cross’ relationship was building up. I want to know what happens next with these two. In the other books, you definitely knew what holiday the H had to have a date by. It was mentioned multiple times. In this one, Memorial Day was only mentioned once and just in passing. Lastly, there was no interaction with any of the other guys in the Secret Billionaire’s Club. I enjoy those interactions and seeing how the new ladies are introduced to the group. Overall, I give this one 3.5 stars. By itself, it’s a good short story and great for a quick afternoon read. For me, it just fell short in comparison to the rest of the series. I am looking forward to reading Cole’s book next.
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Cross is the billionaire being audited and he’s named her Bulldog. Jessa’s the tax auditor out to prove he cheated on his taxes. This is a short, fun and entertaining story to read. It is the fourth in the series of a dating game created by billionaire friends. I enjoyed reading and look forward to reading the next story.
I follow this group of billionaire’s friends since the first book.
These are short story, what I was looking for before an important release day for me tomorrow.
It is cute, sweet and entertaining.
Not much to say except it is not the usual office or billionaire romance, the main characters are nice and engaging.
Sure at time Jessa can appear as too stubborn but her resolve to find the needle in the haystack will prove to be useful.
Cross has nothing to hide except the extend of his wealth. He is wealthy but prefers keep it secret just for his peace of mind.
Nothing of very importance happens, only how two people who took an instant dislike of the other go to appreciate another when in close contact.
One more cute addition to this series of novellas.
4.5 stars
The next book in the secret billionaire series.
Talk about determined tax investigator Jesse!
She goes as far as to take vacation time to stalk Cross to a business meeting in the states to prove her not planning come back.
The super long long flight leads to lots of drama and unfortunate mishaps for Jesse.
A quick enjoyable read. Another must read.
I received an arc and am voluntarily reviewing.
3.5 stars
Cross finds himself with a Jessa, a sexy auditor who is hoping to uncover the secret billionaire’s club members. When Jessa follows Cross to the States she begins to realize he isn’t hiding anything and that he really is a good guy. Does Jessa qualify as Cross’s Memorial Day date?
I am enjoying the Secret Billionaire’s Club stories but this has been my least favorite, maybe because it was so short and left questions that I am hoping will be uncovered in Cole’s Book.
The story itself is a fantastic example of the enemies to lovers theme. My issue is where the story stops. That’s my problem. It doesn’t end it just stops. I loved all the snark and tension between Cross and Jessa as they’re getting to know one another and working their way through the spectrum from enemies to something more. I like that Cross and Jessa at least get a ‘happy for now’ out of the story, however this one was frustrating for me as a reader. There is the potential for so much more awesomeness in this story but there are just so many loose ends left over. I hope that somewhere down the road in the series, all of my leftover questions are going to get answers.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
I like Cross & Jessa’s story. Jessa is a force to be reckoned with and is a bit extreme in her job duties. Cross is laid back, not arrogant and up-front. I enjoyed this addition to the Billionaire’s series but the ending on this one seemed abrupt. I don’t mind reading short & to the point stories this one had some unfinished business though that I would’ve liked the author to have followed through on. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
