This is the newest book by Lorana Hoopes. The book is good and the story is a modern day Cinderella tale. The main character is unusual because he is Ta down to earth billionaire. The girl is a sincere, hard- working, educator. The characters are likable and the story flows nicely. I recommend The Billionaire’s Christmas Miracle to everyone who reads romance books and enjoys a good story.
School teacher Gwen Rodgers goes to an upscale masquerade party pretending be her successful friend Cassie where she meets billionaire Drew Devonshire and loses the bracelet her parents gave her before they died in a car accident when she was twelve. Drew is intrigued by her, but she runs away afraid to be exposed for a fraud and her bracelet like Cinderella’s slipper is the only clue he is left with to find her. Gwen is religious and devotes her free to time to charities, grew up in foster care, and lives paycheck to paycheck while Drew rarely goes to church, feels that making monetary charitable contributions make him a good person, and grew up in a wealthy family and never knew want nor abuse. They are complete opposites and his mother and a former friend of the family are determined to keep them apart. But in keeping with the spirit of the holiday season this story shows people’s ability to change, find deeper meanings in their lives, and become stronger people because of it.
This was my first Billionaire romance by Lorana Hoopes I’ve read. I love that is a sweet romance and yet plenty exciting to keep me turning the pages. I’ll be looking for more books by her.
I LOVE this book by Lorana Hoopes! She didn’t leave anything out oof this story! Just a few things to mention she has put into this book…..love, forgiveness, healing, mystery, drama, dislikeness, dreams, hopes, faith……you name it, it’s there. This is so far out of the 5, 6 or so of her books I have read is by far my most favorite! I have the audiobook and the ebook! It is definitely a MUST HAVE book!
I enjoyed this sweet story. Gwen was such a beacon of hope even in her situation. I recommend this story to everyone that loves sweet clean stories that have heart.
This was a sweet, sigh-worthy novella. I would loved to have seen it played out in a full length novel, as the characters were wonderful and it would be fun to get to know them even more. A straight-up, modern day Cinderella, complete with a dropped bracelet and some scheming characters to add to the story. I can never get enough of Lorana’s books. She is one of the reasons being a bookworm is so much fun
This was a sweet, fun, modern twist on the Cinderella story! This time instead of a glass slipper, it’s a diamond tennis bracelet! I really loved the characters! I adored sweet, shy high school teacher Gwen and hotel billionaire Drew. They brought out the best in each other. The secondary characters were delicious too! I definitely recommend this book, especially for the holidays! Curl up with a copy and enjoy!
I enjoyed reading The Billionaire’s Christmas Miracle. I liked the main characters. Gwen’s compassionate and giving nature helps Drew to make the decisions that he needs to be happy in life. Gwen’s best friend is great too. I love the Cinderella aspect of the story; only it’s a lost bracelet, not a shoe. The book never drags; I wasn’t at all tempted to skim. I don’t like when the Christian character is dating a non-Christian one, but that’s mitigated somewhat by the fact that he starts attending church with her rather early in their relationship. There is a lovely HEA. I really like Lorana Hoopes’ writing style and always enjoy reading her books. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this wonderful romance.
I really enjoyed The Billionaire’s Christmas Miracle. This is a short, sweet, Christian, Cinderella romance but Gwen loses a tennis bracelet rather than a shoe. The mean characters are Drew’s mother and friend rather than Gwen’s family. I loved Gwen and Drew. I liked Gwen’s best friend as well. The characters were complex and realistic. I loved this story of accepting people for who they are not what they have or their social position. Gwen stuck to her beliefs and encouraged Drew to know God. This is a wonderful story for Christmas.
Worth the read!
I really enjoyed it.
Ok, easy to read. No surprises.
Cute, not terribly imaginative, but nice read.
Easy afternoon read.
I really enjoy Lorana Hoopes writing and this book is no exception. This one is a Cinderella type story from the very beginning. The story of a teacher who grew up in a Foster Home and a privileged billionaire who didn’t realize what he was missing in life, from everyday experiences to faith. Wonderful, heartwarming story. Good to see faith incorporated in the plot.
The Billionaire’s Christmas Miracle was a great read by Lorana Hoopes. Drew met Gwen at a masquerade ball, even though their meeting was a little white lie. Drew is a billionaire who feels like Gwen is a down to earth woman but when she leaves the ball, she leaves behind a fake name and her bracelet. She attended the ball in her friend Carrie’s place. Drew comes looking for her to return her bracelet. I enjoyed reading Drew and Gwen’s story and I can’t wait to read more by Lorana Hoopes.
Enjoyable story of a modern Cinderella. This was a sweet, clean, Christian based read. It was nice to see the relationship develop between Gwen and Drew. It was nice to see the snobish attitude of the mother change.
4 star review of The Billionaire’s Christmas Miracle by Lorana Hoopes
AUDIO REVIEW:
Written and narrated by Lorana Hoopes, The Billionaire’s Christmas Miracle was a sweet Christian romance, with a dash of mystery.
Drew Devonshire is sick of women who only want him for his money so when he meets a woman at a masquerade ball who seems to be the total opposite, he is intrigued.
However, Drew has no idea that Gwen Rodgers isn’t who everyone thinks she is. The fact that they are instantly attracted to one another only complicates the guilt that Gwen feels.
She has had a hard life and yet she still smiles and helps people whenever she can. What will happen when Drew finds out the truth? Will he forgive her deception or will he walk away?
This is a feel good story that has a message for you as you listen, heart warming and well narrated.
This review is for the audio copy of the book which was gifted to me by the author. This billionaire story is a little different than others I’ve read. He is not one that is stuck on himself. She is sweet, down to earth, a christian. He recognizes qualities she has that are different than the high society, money grabbing women he knows. His mother is stuck-up, only caring about displaying the high society image, willing to use her money to get what she wants & not nice to the working class. There is an HEA. I like the way Ms. Hoopes reads the book. This is my voluntary review.
A sweet Billionaire story that ends at Christmas. I liked the characters and the message. Gwen is as strong Christian witness with personal insecurities. The messages of peace, trust and forgiveness are a few that are highlighted here.
Lorana Hoopes, author, also did a great job narrating.
I recieved a free Audible copy of this story in exchange for a honest review.
