Stepping up
Trevor has been given the main office because his brother is having some health issues and needs to take care of himself. Now Trevor has to figure out how to close a big deal and get Millie to date him. Plus he gets to save a goose.
When his brother take’s a year’s sabbatical from the company business, Trevor Donovan inherits the corner office, the fancy chair and an executive assistant that gets him hot in all the right places, but relationships between managers and their direct reports is expressly prohibited in the company handbook.
The Billionnaire’s Brother is a sweet, sometimes funny romance with a cute, spunky heroine and an insecure but ultimately hunky hero … and a pair of quirky geese named Donald and Daisy.
It’s contemporary romance at it’s best. There’s no life or death drama, no family drama, no tragedy to tear the couple apart, just a sweet, easy to read story that will renew your faith that sometimes things work out exactly as they’re supposed to.
An enjoyable story for troubled times.
Trevor Donovan suddenly finds himself in charge of his brother’s company. Trey is taking some time off and wants Trevor to step in. It’s not something he feels real comfortable with, but he will do his best. Walking into his office the next morning, his eyes go immediately to his personal assistant, Millie. She has the same reaction to Trevor but is all business. She works to bring him up to date with his responsibilities and schedule and, in the process, becomes much more than his assistant. Knowing there are rules forbidding a relationship between employer and their employees, Millie resists until he comes up with a plan that takes away that problem. As soon as he gets home from securing the million dollar mall deal, he wants Millie to know. This really is a sweet book with likeable and relatable characters. The highlight, however, is the endearing dilemma with the squirrel!
I also listened to this on audible. Ann Omasta is the author and does a wonderful job of narrating, Her voice is clear and captures the personality of each character.
The Billionaire’s Brother: A Sweet-with-Heat Billionaire Romance: The Broke Billionaires Club, Book Two by Ann Omasta was a good quick read. This is the second book in The Broke Billionaire’s Club. Trevor Donovan is tasked with running his brother’s business. The only thing that may stand in his way is Millie, his brother’s executive assistance. I loved reading Millie and Trevor’s story. I can’t wait to finish this series.

What happens when your brother decides to hand over the running of your family empire to you? Trevor has always thought he wanted the responsibilities his brother Trey had. Now faced with it all, he finds it all overwhelming. Millie, his inherited personal assistant, and she has total faith in his ability. And it has nothing to do with their mutual attraction. Will Trevor find his way? And will he win the girl? This is a fun installment to the series. The confidence changing, the sibling interaction and the growing love all make this listen fly by and leave you with a warm, tingly feeling. Narrated by Ann Omasta, it’s a joy to listen to and I am looking forward to the net installment.

I really liked Trevor as you could feel the pressure he felt trying to run the business while Trey is off falling in love with Ellie. Millie is Trey’s gate keep and now that Trevor is in charge she is his go to women and wow do the sparks fly when they are together. I really liked how they tried to fight the attraction even if everyone but them knew it would fail and the goose rescue was fantastic! Another great read in this series I just wish they were long as just like with Ellie and Trey I wasn’t ready to finish, at least we got to see Ellie and Trey a few times in this novella!
At Its lowest common denominator, this is a billionaire boss and secretary book. But that doesn’t give this story enough credit because Trevor has essentially no experience as the boss and Millie is so much more than a simple secretary. I enjoyed this book more than the first one; this felt like it was actually going somewhere. I also felt like I had more of a chance to get to know Trevor and Millie and fall in love with them myself. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next.
THE MORE YOU READ, THE BETTER IT GETS!!!
I really fell in love with the characters in this story. Sparks fly between two of the main focus of the tale. You’ll discover love, and a few steamy scenes, but its a wholesome read. You’ll laugh at some points and cheer them on at others. A refreshing read done exceptionally well.
This was a fun read till the end. I voluntarily chose to review this and I’ve given it a 4* rating. This is not for the under 18 readers. I just didn’t think the ending was very realistic.
