From New York Times bestselling author Krista Lakes comes a sexy standalone novel about a billionaire and the indecent proposal he gives the local barista.
Billionaire CEO Jackson Weathers needs a family for a PR boost, and I’ve signed a contract agreeing to give him one. A doting girlfriend in public. A wedding ceremony to invite all the socialites to. And finally, a baby for him to parade … parade around, to show he’s really a wholesome, down-to-Earth man.
I’ve tried to remain cynical about it. He’s going to make all my dreams come true. So what if it’s supposed to be a loveless marriage?
Only, his tenderness in private has me hooked. The way he kisses me drives me wild. When we make love, I lose myself to him. His body feels like it was meant to be on top of mine, like we fit together like two puzzle pieces. I can’t help but begin to fall for him.
I can’t tell him, or I risk losing everything. And nobody else can find out about our little “arrangement” or it will destroy his reputation. Still, I feel like I have to know how he feels, before the marriage, before the baby, before I give my entire life over to him.
Is it still just pretend?

A great read, about a crush we’ve all experienced and fantasize about.
I just love Krista Lakes. I have been a fan since the Kisses series.
Have you ever had a crush on someone and fantasized about what it would be like to live out that fantasy?
Nora, lost her mom at a young age. She grew up in the home of the Lewis’s.
Her father, was the butler for the family and they lived over the garage.
The Lewis’s, had two boys that were a few years older than her.
She always had a crush on the younger boy, Jonathan.
He of course, never paid her any attention.
Christopher, the eldest paid attention to her, but she never noticed.
Nora, had been in the Caribbean, working a in hotel services. She loves her job, but now that Jonathan, is engaged, she goes home to check on her father and also on him.
When Jonathan, takes notice of Nora, for the first time, Christopher, steps in as this marriage is also tied to a million dollar merger between the two families.
As Christopher, spends time “managing” Nora, real feelings start to develop, but are they only one sided?
Love this book and this author.
I highly recommended this, for a great summer read.
Billionaire needs an image make over, so he hires someone to marry him and have his baby. The characters were likeable, the dialogue funny and enjoyable and the small twists make this story not something you have read before. I LOVE the ending! I am a sucker for the romantic ending where the H pours his heart out and I was not disappointed. HEA, reformed playboy, billionaire H and working class h all rolled into one delightful read.
To save his company he has to marry and have a child. But how can he find a woman that suits this arrangement. Is she strong enough to make him the man who takes responsibility for his life and company and not only being a womanizer?
Well written story with nice story line and plot. Predictable but worth the read. Characters likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the story.
A romance that builds with time and feelings that comes when not expected.
When Jackson meets Emma he is overwhelmed with the feelings that he has for her. But Emma is ‘merely’ a barista whilst he is a multi billionaire so why would he be really interested in her? With her low esteem she doesn’t think that he is sincere about any real feeling for her but when he asks for her help to give him the ‘perfect’ family man look of a doting wife and baby to help his image and that of his business she agrees. But she really does love him. Can these two really get their HEA or is all just business? I loved Jackson and Emma and read this virtually in one go [okay I feel asleep – it was late at night] as it is so well written and they both seemed to be so real. I like Krista Lakes writing style as she really knows how to draw you into her stories and to actually like her characters. I look forward to her next book in the series. Definitely recommended

In this book we meet Emma and Jackson Weathers. Emma is just the local coffee girl in Jackson’s building but when he find out he needs help with his PR problem something makes him think of her. Emma wants more from her life then working in a coffee shop. She also wants to be a wife and mother. However with no prospects on the horizon that second on is a stretch. That is until Jackson comes to her with a proposition. What happens though when feelings get involved? Will their be a HEA or will this just have been a bad business deal?
This is a great book about fining what really matters in life. This book does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
A very sweet story. I haven’t read many marriage of convenience books but I’m thinking I’m gonna have to change that after reading this one. Jackson & Emma are a perfect match and the chemistry between them is strong. Things always get complicated once the heart gets involved.
I own and many of this authors books going back to the Kisses series and I’m a fan. I had a little trouble with this one. It’s a Hallmark tale with plenty of sexy times. I’m stumbling over continuity issues. The cover guy is handsome, but Jackson has blonde hair and green eyes, harrumph. Emma went to college to be a marine biologist but doesn’t know that she gets very seasick. She lives in an NYC apartment with no roommate working as a barista because she’s so in debt with college loans. My brain hurts.
I enjoyed the story and liked the getting to know you and dating phase of their relationship. There was plenty of cute banter. Emma was easily to like with her sweet manner and love of kids. Jackson took more getting warmed up to for me but I did like him. The contracted relationship isn’t my favorite but it seemed to be working for them until feelings got mixed into it and then no communication blew up everything. Jackson is good at doing sweet things that get maximum exposure, and that’s the deal. I would have liked to see Emma do something toward that job she really wanted, her time mostly stopped being accounted for once she moved in with him. There are outside influences making trouble. I love a slimy villain and Lakes gives us a good one to hate. I’m a sucker for the grand gesture! I got my HEA!
This story is absolutely wonderful and is really one that should be in the bracket with five stars. There were, however, enough typos – quite bad ones – that I decided on taking it down to four, was actually thinking three. But with evaluation of good vs bad, the end is four stars. Just next, pls get yourself a better editor… The story line is absolutely fantastic, the characters, thie villain, the staff in the company one gets to know, all absolutely top grade! I can at least say very truthfully that I loved this story and can really recommend it, I am quite sure the author will have at least some of these bad typos fixed as I sent them to her… 🙂 So just enjoy reading it.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the storyline was fun and entertaining.
This was a very easy read with the story flowing smoothly. Although a romance, there was drama, angst, sabotage and plenty of sensual scenes to keep the reader engaged. Again, another story of a very strong woman who needed to boost up a man trying to take the easy way out in life. The characterizations were good and well developed. The main male character had a lot of growth over the course of the story. This couple does end up with their happy ever after.

This book is fantastic and brilliantly written! It is incredibly descriptive, funny, and the ideas are well-developed. The plot is relatable, consistent, and there is a great pace from scene to scene. Great storyline with interesting characters who are sweet and a perfect fit for each other … the chemistry between them is hot and off the charts. A really enjoyable fast pace read with some exciting and interesting twists; and I take great pleasure in recommending it. This is book 2 in the Bad Boys and Babies series by Krista Lakes and another well written book.
Jackson Weahers is in need of a major overhaul in his personal life or his Board will oust him as CEO. He and his publicist come up with a proposal to find a woman who will marry him and give him a baby. He decides to ask the barista, Emma that works in his building. Now the fun begins!!
Lots of sparks, sexy times, fake relationship that leads into love!!
Yes, Krista Lakes’ The Billionaire’s Baby Arrangement: A Billionaire and Barista Love Story (Bad Boys and Babies Book 2) follows a tried and true formula, with loner rake Jackson hiring sweet gal (in this case it’s Emma the barista) to be his fake girlfriend and have his baby for some ignoble purpose (here it’s a PR campaign). Well, the reason why it’s a “tried and true formula” because when done well it works very well indeed and is highly enjoyable. The good news is that Krista Lakes is an ace at this sort of writing. As a result she’s turned out another hot dmd sexy def yet well written tale. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
This book was just ok. It was good but it missing something. I think part of me just was finding it hard to believe the story and how predictable it was. I mean once you start reading this, you’ll figure out what happens. Jackson and Emma were fun characters that I enjoyed but it was just a little to predictable.
Great story. Definitely worth 5 stars.
The book is really well written, characters are well developed and thought out.
There are twists and turns and ups and downs before the two main characters get their happy ever after.
I highly recommend this book as a very enjoyable read.

A bad boy billionaire who owns a diaper company is threatened with losing his CEO job because of bad press and dropping sales. His PR people tell him the only way to save the company is to salvage his reputation! To do that he needs to find a sweet , genuine woman to marry and have a baby with. Emma is a barista in his office building who is drowning in college debt and a little in love with billionaire Jackson Weathers! When he takes her to dinner and offers her a deal to marry him and have his baby and she will never have to worry about money again she thinks long and hard before making a decision! I really loved this book! The romance, conflict, drama it was all there and very well written! I highly recommend this book!

Plans are made. Hearts are broken and love is found. Jackson and Emma approached love backwards, but eventually got it right. He needs a family, she needs cash. What began as a business deal becomes more than they ever thought possible. Love is surprisingly on the horizon. Until secrets get in the way. Although theirs is a relationship of convenience, it turns out to be anything but. The Billionaire’s Baby Arrangement is a fistful of romance with a flavorful sprinkle of heart.
Sometimes a contract isn’t worth the paper it is written on, it is a whole lot more.
This is my 5th book by Krista and is becoming one of my favorite authors. Emma works at the Coffee Shack where she sees Jackson everyday when he stops in for his usual and they jokingly banter for a few minutes. When Jackson’s latest escapade starts effecting the bottom line of his company, his PR person suggests he get married and have a baby. Jackson gets Emma to finally accept a date from him where he offers her a contract to be his wife and have a child. But what starts out on paper, quickly turns to more until it all falls apart. Will Jackson be able to redeem himself in Emma’s eyes? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down till you are done in one sitting.
Expect more than ordinary
There are billionaire/fake marriage/contract baby romances aplenty out there. The trope has several variations, but the gist of it is that he needs a fiancee/wife/baby for business reasons, and love ain’t got nuttin’ ta do wit’ it. She’s broke/in debt/in hiding from something and agrees, more or less cynically, to the scam. It turns out to be the real deal, and on to HEA. They’re all pretty much the same, so why should you read THIS one? After reading the ARC (Thanks, Booksprout) it is my voluntary, independent, and uncompensated opinion that Krista Lakes has perfected the plot. I thought there would be a naive young thing for the billionaire to wolf on, but Emma is innocent, not naive. She’s surprisingly 3-dimensional, rational and perceptive. She’s emotionally wise, and mature, and optimistic, and I adored her as the heroine. Jackson is not the alpha-hole hero you might expect. He’s rich as sin, and a serial womanizer, but there’s an inherent self-awareness and a nascent wisdom in him, which Emma brings out. He’s confused about the nature of love, but he’s sincere, a quick learner, and possessed of more integrity than most heroes in this trope. He and Emma together are a quirky blend of real and magical, and I found their story so enchanting I couldn’t put it down. I had tears in my eyes at the end. YES, it’s THAT good.
