She’s spent her life avoiding love.
Captain Charlotte “Charlie” O’Brien, a doctor in the United States Navy, returns to her home in North Salem, Massachusetts to visit her family and make an important decision about her future. Mother Nature has other plans when a hurricane strikes, flooding the town and throwing Jake Sherbrooke in Charlie’s path. Initially she believes Jake is nothing more than … more than a rich playboy, but quickly, she learns that he is so much more.
The media calls him Prince Charming.
Billionaire, Jake Sherbrooke has never been one to follow the path laid out by his parents. That is why he started the Falmouth Foundation, a non-profit disaster relief organization rather than enter politics. When he learns of the destruction in North Salem, he immediately travels there to offer aid and meets Charlie O’Brien. Charlie is unlike any woman he has ever meet and he can not help but be drawn to her.
Soon neither can ignore the incredible chemistry between them. But will his reputation as a billionaire playboy damage their budding romance?

I love how Charlie cracks on with things when the hurricane hit while she is visiting home, she is a no nonsense woman so when Jake rocks up and gets hands on instead of just standing there looking pretty she is intrigued and it doesn’t hurt that he is hawt. I really like how not only is Charlie trying to work out whether to retire from the Navy …
This was a great book that was full of pages with well developed characters and engaging storyline and plenty of chemistry to keep me entertained.

The second book in The Sherbrookes of Newport series a well written story of a woman who believes what she hears about others is true. At times I would like to have smacked Doctor Charlotte O’Brien for not letting Jake Sherbrooke explain things to her. But then something in her past makes her the way she is. I want to read the next book. I …
It’s a great story however, it does have a running theme of how the media manipulates reality and can hurt the ones you love. Jake and Charlie’s relationship is really romantic and they bond over tasks to help rebuild Charlie’s hometown after a hurricane but, mistakes are made between the two that lead to some misunderstandings. Of course, much …
This is a new ARC book by Christina Tetreault. Its two main characters are CHARLOTTE and JAKE.
Charlotte O’Brien, Charlie for short is a Navy doctor, comes home for a visit and to make a decision, when a hurricane hit North Salem. After the hurricane blew through and Charlie and volunteers go house by house to help and find the injured, when …
Love this author and this series!
Disaster
A hurricane brought the two of them together. Jake is a billionaire and runs a foundation that helps towns restart after disasters. Charlie is a doctor helping her home town. They meet but can they make out work.
I have enjoyed reading Ms. Tetreault’s books so far, and this one was no different. The Sherbrooke’s are a great family and I love the way they interact with each other. I really enjoyed this story. Charlie and Jake were great couple and complimented each other well. Ms. Tetreault did a nice job in developing these characters and giving …

Navy Doctor Charlie meets Billionaire Playboy Jake when a hurricane hits her town while she is there visiting her parents and he shows up to help with his foundation.
Jake as it turns out is not what the media has shown and soon she is falling for him. This is a little steamy but I enjoyed reading their story.
The book is a good romance read. The story has a good story line, and the story is a well written read. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

Bad world-building, poorly researched. For example, the heroine is a 29-y-o Navy doctor who wants to retire from the Navy – after the Navy just finished paying for her college ed, med school, and residency, she’s just going to walk away and “retire”. Not realistic! The author seems to make up glamorous careers but doesn’t do any research.
Very entertaining and witty. Great book . I love the billionaire books.
a little boring,to much of the same
cowboy stuff
Enjoyed this book. Couldn’t put it down. The characters were believable even though it was non fiction.
This book was good, the first book in series was better.
It was an ok book. I enjoyed the characters, however they were fairly easy to read early on, so there wasn’t a lot mystery or excitement in this book. Sorry.
Too steamy for me. Quit reading.
I really enjoyed this book and like this writer a lot
