Kelly Bradley isn’t impulsive. Unless you count that time she walked into billionaire power player Jack Sutton’s office and proposed on a sticky note. He said yes, by the way. With that one word, he saved her from crippling student loan debt and his company from a takeover that would mean its end. What could go wrong?A lot, as it turns out. This is a standalone fake relationship … standalone fake relationship marriage-of-convenience with a twist of suspense in the Sutton Billionaires Series. A shorter version of this book was previously published in the Sutton Capital Series under the name Legal Ease.

I just really liked this book. While the plotline was fairly standard, Lori Ryan created genuinely likeable characters. I loved it when Kelly Bradley was able to knock Jack Sutton off his game by making him an offer that he couldn’t refuse. He gets a wife ans saves his company. What happens next is surprising to both of them and not what they counted on. There’s some suspense and danger, a meddling relative, supportive friends and family and good old fashioned falling in love that rounds out the story.
I really enjoy starting a book at the start of a series and this was a great start to the Sutton Billionaires Series. I loved Jack Sutton and Kelly Bradley and of course, Jennie the mastermind behind bringing these two together. I liked meeting everyone who’ll we will get to know better in future books in this series. I must say I’m glad that Aunt Mabry came around with a lot of help from Chad, I’m hoping she can keep her new nicer attitude going forward. I liked watching the relationship develop between these two and ultimately end up where it should have. The part with Kelly missing was definitely nerve wracking, but I’m glad it was resolved quickly. Great book to start this series with and I’m definitely looking forward to the next book.
I liked Kelly’s spunk and loved her initial encounter with Jack. They were perfect for each other, and I really enjoyed their story. Jack’s devious Aunt Mabry kept me turning pages because I never knew what she’d do next to try to sabotage their relationship. I look forward to the next in this series!
This is the first book in the Sutton Billionaire Series. This can easily be read as a stand-alone, however. This is a great book that is slightly hot. In this one, Jack needs to get married to keep, his company, the one that his family build from the ground up. In walks, Kelly, a woman who is looking to help, and get her law school tuition paid for. They get married, and then they find sparks flying between them. Will it last, or will they let their heads get in the way? Definitely a not to be missed book!
Sealed with a….
I loved Jack and Kelly’s story! What started as a business deal soon becomes murky with attraction, heat and chemistry! When everything is on the line can this deal be renogatiated for the long term and with a lifetime of “benefits”?
Kelly has never been the strong, forward thinking woman her friend Jennie is. Until the day she sees her dreams possibly slipping away. Then she does something no one expected, including herself. But when an arrangement turns into so much more it hits both Kelly and her new husband Jack hard! Their new life has an expiration date and neither one is looking forward to that at all. But something dark is lurking underneath the blanket of newfound happiness.
I laughed so much and then I cringed, fretted and waited to find out what the darkness was!
This is romantic, entertaining and suspenseful. When Jack needed a wife in order to remain CEO of his company, but didn’t want a real relationship, Kelly heard about it and volunteered herself. One year of fake marriage for the money she needs for school. But things don’t go exactly how they are supposed to go, and Jack finds himself running to rescue Kelly, they both realize that they need to face their feelings. It’s a slow burn romance with a few twists that I enjoyed reading.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
A marriage of convenience. The characters are great. There’s suspense, drama and romance. Great read from start to finish! You won’t be disappointed.
This was an up- dated version of the first book that got me hooked on Lori Ryan. I have read all the books in the original series and enjoyed each one of them I enjoyed re-reading the adventures of Jack and Kelly. This book had romance, suspense, and a mystery.I would definitely recommend this book. I was given an ARC, this is my honest review.
Great series, jump in and give it a try.
Jack Sutton, billionaire CEO, needs a wife to fulfill the stipulations of his mother’s will. To keep control of his company, he needs to get married. Unfortunately, he hasn’t met anyone to fill that need.
Kelly Bradley is on the cusp of realizing her dream of law school, but her hopes are dashed when the financial aide she was counting on fell through.
Jack needs a wife to be able to inherit. Kelly needs to fund her education. Neither are looking for forever, but they decide being together is what needs to happen right now.
Their mutual attraction moves slowly and before they know it, they’re involved. Jack and Kelly shy away from acknowledging the attraction, but when there is a crisis, they must admit to their feelings.
The Billionaire Deal is not a completely new book. This iteration is a bit more fleshed-out book, since a shortened version was featured in The Sutton Capital series. The changes work and we get a more detailed look into the lives of Jack and Kelly.
Billionaire deal by Lori Ryan starts with a marriage of convenience with a twist. Jack Sutton is about to lose control of his father’s company if he doesn’t marry by the end of the week. As he is meeting with his aunt who will inherit the controlling stocks, Kelly Bradley walks into his office. She carries a proposal, pay for her Yale Law School tuition and she will marry him for a year. Kelly then proceeds to charm his aunt, while Jack is left to ponder, where did she come from, who is she and do I accept her proposal? I found myself laughing out loud at Jack and Kelly’s predicaments and totally engrossed at the problems. I was given a free copy of Billionaire deal for an honest review. Cindy
A great must read pretend relationship.
Great characters and storyline : billionaire needs a wife to keep control of dad’s company, and the woman who needs money to attend Law School in the fall.
Tbere are plenty moments that will crack you up. Along with moments that auntie tries to trip them up.
I highly recommend this book.
I was given a copy and am voluntarily reviewing.
Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and emotionally thrilling adventure filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion…. was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this exciting journey.
Some quick action at the end of this one!
A marriage-of-convenience is what Jack needs all because of his mother’s will. Money for school is what Kelly needs. So this tale is about how these two make a bargain that is beneficial to them both. Little did they know that there was danger on the horizon. With a bit of a mystery and engaging characters, you will be drawn into this piece. I enjoyed it a great deal but now I am pins and needles how is Andrew’s grandmother? If you are looking for a good book to pick up I recommend this one. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Lori Ryan is redoing the beginning of the Sutton Capitol Series adding more to a book and a series I love.
This first book is Jack Sutton, he’s a control freak about to lose his empire because of a stipulation in his mother’s will. He needs to be married by his thirty fifth birthday or he loses control of his company to his aunt.
An overheard conversation leads to a solution, but Jack has no idea it’s about to happen, the ensuing meeting with his aunt, cousin Cole and his ‘fiancé’ blindsides him and had me giggling the whole time.
Oh the tangled web that entwines these two.
Kelly just wants law school paid for, and Jack needs a wife. Neither of them expect to fall in love.
This is an enthralling tale with plenty of suspense, drama, laughs, tears and sizzle.

What a way to start a new series! Amazing read! Lori Ryan is a new-to-me author that I’m glad I stumbled upon.
The story starts with Jack, CEO of Sutton Capital. Sure he’s a billionaire, but as the saying goes “More money more problems” right? As is Jacks case. What’s his deal? Well, his pesky aunt is trying to sabotage him to Segway her son in his place (as CEO). How can Jack stop them? Easy. Find a willing partner to marry him before his 35th birthday. Consequently, there’s this minor stipulation: if he doesn’t marry someone by then, he can’t access his mother’s shares. No problem, right?
Hot guy: check.
Wealthy and charming: check.
Did I say wealthy: check, check, check.
That should garner enough flirty winks and head turns alone.
Unfortunately, he has only a few days to do it or he’ll lose full control of the company per his mother’s will.
Problem is, who’ll he find on such short notice?
Insert Kelly Bradley full-time student recently accepted into Yale that has financial aid that fell through. Kelly needs help fast. Only who will she find to help her with her tuition?
Call it fate, or a nosy best friend (who’d listened in on her bosses private conversations) and shared pertinent “fake wife” info with Kelly. Whatever the case, the two eventually meet and develop a chance love story that’ll blow you away.
Final thoughts…
This book was an outstanding start to this new series. Can’t for book two and other books from this wonderfully well-written author. Happy Reading
Fake marriage in name only, YES please! A steamy, well though out story that makes this trope believable. A total stand alone with a HEA. I loved this story of Jack and Kelly. I can’t wait to read more in the series.
Falling for his fake wife.
Jack Sutton has a clause in his mothers will to fulfill or he’ll loss control of the family business. He has to be married when’s he’s 35 but he’s not dating anyone right now. Kelly got into Yale Law School and finds out her financial aid didn’t come through. Now she has to find money or leave. Her friend tells her about Jack Sutton needing a fake wife to fulfill a will provision. She goes to his office and introduces herself as his fiancée which shocks him. As she explains that she’ll be his fake wife if he’ll help with her school tuition but what will he do? Especially as he finds her very attractive. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
What nerve! Jack needs a wife in order to circumvent his mother’s will. Kelly needs money to finish her schooling. A marriage of convenience is just what they need. However, you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice & men! It rarely finishes as planned!
I enjoyed the characters in this story. Jack has developed a group that is as close as brothers. They support him in what ever he needs. Jack starts out appearing as a snobbish rich guy but as you get to know his character & as he gets to know Kelly, he becomes more down to earth & likable. Kelly is more of an introvert, quiet & shy. Her actions the first time she met Jack are totally outside her normal behavior. As she gets more comfortable with Jack, he pulls her out of her shell & gets her to experience life a bit more. This was a well written enjoyable story.
