#3 What is your biggest takeaway from the story?
Ruby Rockford and I are meant to be.
I just have to prove it to her.
For the entirety of my adult life, I’ve been content.
Content in my single lifestyle, content in my stressful-but-extremely-successful job as the main corporate counsel for almost every Fortune 500 company in North America, and content in my playful, spontaneous ways.
I had no idea it was possible for someone to change my mind.
The endless women and work are no longer enough, and just as Ruby Rockford told me–it’s about time I grow up.
It’s going to take a strategic attack from more than a couple brilliant minds to win her affection, but luckily, I know exactly where to find the right guys for the job…
The Billionaire Book Club.
It’s safe to say that I, Caplin Hawkins, the man most women would call The Ultimate Player, have finally met my match, and man oh man, has my end game changed.
I’m coming for you, Ruby.
And soon, you’ll be coming for me, too.

Oh Cap, my Cap! I loved The Billionaire Book Club. Max Monroe knows how to bring the hot and heavy with the funny! Ruby is a doll and is trying to get her life started and in order. When these two get together, they seem line a match made. They want a good time, but no commitment. Ha! Tell that to the heart lol
Now I do have to day, our beloved Thatch tried to steal the show. I was good with that, but then Cap took back his own. I love these guys and it was a treat to be apart of the club!
The Billionaire is LOL sexy! I could not put this book away for the weekend! I loved all the things about this book!
Omg I absolutely love Caplin and Ruby. This book will definitely give you all the feels. I was laughing and of course teary-eyed reading Ruby and Chaplin’s story. I love that Cap started a book club and of course seeing all the guys was a plus but reading how Cap won Ruby was priceless. Another amazing 5 star read that once you start reading you won’t want to stop.
The Billionaire Book Club is the third book in the Billionaire series. This is Caplin’s book. After seeing him in the previous two books in the series, I knew this was going to be outrageously funny, and it absolutely was! Cap sets his sights on audiobook narrator and law student, Ruby.
Ruby is such a great character. She is smart, driven and well rounded. Cap definitely shows a different side than previous books, but he’s still very much Cap.
Their first meet is hilarious! After their first meet, Cap really pursues Ruby. She tries to avoid him and resist his charm but he’s persistent. My only complaint would be the chemistry was missing for me, and things felt a little forced between Ruby and Cap. However, my favorite part of the book is the Billionaire Book Club, where all our favorite men from all previous Billionaire books, get together to help Cap woo Ruby. It was wonderful to see all of these people, and had me laughing so hard at this boy’s book club, discussing romance. Also, I’m definitely intrigued by Lena, Cap’s sister, and so excited we’ll get to read her story later this year.
* I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I had fun reading this story. Ruby works very hard as she pursues her goals. She is busy going to law school but also found a passion for book narration which is how she supports herself. Her life is very busy as she strives for perfection. The one thing she struggles to find is love or a relationship. One day she covers a shift for her friend at the law library and she ends up assisting Cap. Now Cap is a player. He is a very successful lawyer and a charmer. He wields both skills with an amazing ease but when he encounters Ruby, he meets someone immune to his charms. For Cap, this creates a situation where he needs to win her into his bed. But Ruby is a challenge, she isn’t a push over so he gets creative and enlists his friends to use the romance novels she reads to find a way to get past her defenses. The Billionaire Book Club meetings are a hoot as these men discuss the novels and give advice. I enjoyed how Ruby and Cap’s relationship unfolded as he hires her as his intern which gives her valuable experience. As Ruby has to allow herself to truly let someone in, Cap has to realize that love is possible in his life. Neither one make this process easy but the ride to happiness was a fun one to read.
CAPLIN MOTHERFLUFFING HAWKINS. I have no words to describe my excitement over Cap and his story. This was everything I could have hoped for and SO MUCH MORE! When the disclaimer says do not read this in public, it’s legit. The Billionaire Book Club will have you laughing to the point of tears from start to finish.
I could make this entire review about how much I love Cap, because I really do. Plus, I think that is something that Cap himself would just enjoy too much. He’s hilarious, hardworking and there is definitely a lot more to the man than what meets the eye. Ruby, oh how I love that woman. I don’t think I’ve loved a heroine more in a book. Ruby is smart, she is hardworking and she is hilarious, plus the girl sure knows how to answer a phone (mesothelioma anyone?). Cap and Ruby are PERFECT for each other. I loved their chemistry, I loved the bond they formed. Plus, their first meeting? Makes you rethink the idea of listening to audiobooks in public.
Now, this Billionaire Book Club. This is one book club I’d love to be a member of. If you’ve read any of the previous Billionaire books by Max Monroe you know these guys and when they are all together? You better be prepared to laugh. Plus, any book with Thatch is a winner.
The Billionaire Book Club is hands down on my FAVORITE Max Monroe books and one of my favorite books this year.
I loved this book so fluffing much! Cap was exactly was I hoped for and more. Ruby was fluffing amazing as well. Max Monroe outdid them self! The book is hilarious, I laughed hard and out loud.. it’s a easy read. You also get to meet the other billionaire boys and I loved “seeing” them again! I highly recommend this book.
Oh good lord can Max Monroe write a rom-com!!!! The Billionaire Book Club is Caplin Hawkins story. Shhhh……don’t tell Thatcher but Caplin kinda surpasses him in ridiculousness and all that. Cap is one of the country’s top corporate lawyers. He’s also a confirmed playboy with absolutely no desire to change that. He meets Ruby, a law student, at the law library. Ruby is the best!! She’s feisty, hilarious and puts Cap right in his place!
As enjoyable as it is to watch these two spare and banter back forth, *whispering* let’s talk about the book club. What happens in book club, stays in book club. Imagine, if you will, poker night. Poker night with your closest billionaires. You know, guys like THATCHER, KLINE, WES, MILO and TRENT!! I have never laughed so much as reading the poker night turned book club scenes.
Obviously, I highly recommend you don’t waste anytime and one-click this book right now!!! Getting to their HEA is one heck of an enjoyable read!!
Oh man I have been waiting for Cap’s book and these authors did not disappoint. It was everything I expected it to be when it comes to Cap and his shenanigans! Ruby was the the perfect match for him and I really loved her from the start. She was so strong and determined at everything she did in life and I was fully rooting for her from the beginning!
This book was probably my favorite of the series, just because you can’t help fall for these characters almost immediately, even knowing that they have flaws. You can read it as a standalone so jump tight in and get started!!
The Billionaire Book Club by Max Monroe is the story of Ruby Rockford and Caplin “Cap” Hawkins.
Cap is a successful corporate lawyer, who is also very popular with the ladies which he embraces and tries to make the most of it…a borderline man-whore. Cap hasn’t met a women yet who isn’t charmed by his charms. Then a chance meeting with Ruby seems to change that thought. Ruby has a lot going on in her life as a law student, works as a audio book narrator with a job as a librarian. So she has no personal life so when she ends up meeting Cap who she knows is a distraction, but he then offers her a internship that she really shouldn’t say no to. Cap starts to realize that he is feeling more for Ruby than just concurring a women who is resisting him.
This book had everything, funny, hot and a hard to put down read! I hope to read more from this author.
Mother-fluffing Billionaires!!! Again, Max Monroe has topped the list of book boyfriends with Caplin Hawkins. We’ve loved and hated him throughout the series, as each one of his billionaire friends fell for their happily ever after. He would NEVER fall for that….
But he hadn’t met Ruby!!!! Ruby, the law student, the erotic voice over reader ,and the girl who would bring him down. When he begins his pursuit, he is convinced once he conquers the girl, he will move on his merry way. Little does he know what Max Monroe has in store for him.
This is NOT just another ROM COM. If you haven’t been reading Max Monroe, well, there’s just nothing I can say to you and we can’t be friends. If you are a hard core MM fan, Caplin is the bomb. Plus the entire “book club” where the other billionaires get to give a little payback. The conversation is just too much….
I am never sure how Max and Monroe manage it but this is a wonderful book! I knew that Cap was a character coming into this book from his appearances in other books, but he came out swinging with all of his charm and swagger and ott personality to the point that about half way through the book, I wasn’t sure I liked him. But Ruby is his perfect match and she got him back on track by the end. And of course Thatch and the rest of the book club helped him pull it together. Cap and Ruby are adorable and I highly recommend this book, and this entire series.
I never thought Max Monroe could top my all time favorite book boyfriend Thatcher Kelly. I was wrong. Not that I’m dethroning Thatch but Cap……well I’d definitely Cap That!
The Billionaire Book Club has now topped my favorite list. One of the pluses is it brings ALL the Billionaires together in a single quest to help Cap get the girl. I can’t even begin to imagine the thought process that went on while writing the scenes with all these hot testosterone filled billionaires discussing romance novels.
Cap is living the life. Rich, good looking, single, women throwing themselves at him. In some of the funniest moments, rivaling Leslie in Tapping the Billionaire Cap ends up meeting the one woman who doesn’t throw herself at him. A first meeting that had me laughing out loud (please listen to the disclaimer as to where you should and shouldn’t read this). I absolutely loved Cap and Ruby. I’m sure I will never see scenes like their book club ever again. Again, watch where you read this you may have to explain why you are laughing so much.
Thank you Max Monroe for bringing all the boys together in The Billionaire Bookclub. I knew Cap’s book had to be huge.
If you ever wondered what it would be like for the men in your life to read the same romance books we do then this story is for you. If you’ve ever wished the men in your life would do and say the things that we love our book boyfriends to do, this book is definitely for you. SPOILER ALERT: It doesn’t really go well, possibly even cringe worthy at times but so totally hilarious. Max Monroe killed it! Caplin Hawkins is hilariously charming and totally swoon worthy. Even if his swoony efforts come with mostly nefarious motivation. However the moments he’s unintentionally sweet are enough make a girl melt. Ruby is a feisty, badass with panties of steel with her ability to resist him for so long. They are just what the other needs. And of course with a billionaire book club comes all the OG billionaires (Thatch is effing crazy) plus a couple new faces. I just love how this series has intertwined the old and new. The Captain and his Ruby gave me so much life and so many feels. Can’t wait for the next book.
Caplan Hawkins is EVERYTHING I could have hoped for and more!
This is the one we’ve been waiting for folks, and Max Monroe did not disappoint! I didn’t think I could adore Cap more than I already did, but MM proved me wrong. With his cocky attitude, charming wit, and boisterous personality, you can’t help but fall head over heels for him. He’s unfiltered, utterly ridiculous at times, and has way more fun than his workaholic persona should dictate. But underneath all that quirkiness is a good man with a good heart that you won’t be able to resist.
Ruby is fantastic! I absolutely adored her. She’s intelligent, hard-working, and independent. She doesn’t let Cap get away with much and isn’t afraid to speak her mind where he’s concerned. She’s cautious when it comes to Cap (and there’s a good reason for that), but it’s fun to watch her inhibitions fade away as the story goes on.
These two are great together! I loved the push and pull between them, all the hilarious witty banter, and of course, watching Cap fall hard. And in true Cap fashion, he’ll do some fairly bonehead things that will make you want to shake him, but be patient. You knew this wasn’t going to be easy for him.
I can’t say enough good things about this laugh-out-loud, swoony, romantic, crazy story! This one gets all the stars from me.
So, this is part of a series, I have only read the last book and this one, and wished I had read the previous characters and how they found their HEA’s, but that’s just me. Caplin, playboy, billionaire, hard worker, great friend; there are loads of descriptions for him. When he, the womanizing hot guy that he is, meets Ruby something different happens. He knows that he will have to up his “game” because she is different, not like the others that play hard to get and it takes a few hours. No, not Ruby, Caplin has to figure out something different.. something more, and he figures out just the thing. His best friends and romance novels are all that’s needed to turn their weekly poker game into a book club, where they research and “help” Caplin figure out ways to get to the heart of Ruby. Can the guys and their book club figure this out or is this a lost cause?
This was such an entertaining read, I giggled for most of this book. Drama, funny bits, witty banter, guys reading romance, and a naughty bit or two; I give this 4 stars.
I LOVED this book SO much! Max Monroe has done it again.
I really did not think I could fall for Cap, but I did. There I said it ;). I loved every second of his story and have not laughed that hard in a long time. I mean how can you fall for a womanizer who only loves himself? The book club was a genius idea. I love that he went to his friends for advice even though he always seems to know it all. I also love how he subtly forces Ruby to be apart of his world even if she is resisting him initially.
The moment he saw her he knew he was a goner. You will also fall for Ruby. Trust me she does not give in easily and makes him work extra hard. Just wait until their first introduction. It is quite entertaining and hilarious. She will not be easily won over.
This is a MUST read and I am already counting down the days until the next book.
THE BILLIONAIRE BOOK CLUB is not the type of “book club” you would think it is, however it is about as “bookish” as some of the book clubs I’ve belonged to ~wink~ We’ve all been in them, right? That one book club that should actually be called “supper club”, or “gossip club” or “reason to get out of the house and make it sound like something important club.”
Max Monroe writes fantastic rom-com and this one does not disappoint. It’s funny (like don’t read in bed next to your husband because he will get mad when you laugh out loud and wake him up funny). It’s clever, it’s a fresh take on the “billionaire who can’t get what he wants” genre (sheesh, i’m using lots of quotation marks and parentheses in this review).
I absolutely recommend this book.
4.5 Cap-i-tain stars
If you’ve read any of the billionaire books then you know how Cap is, he’s a special snowflake, lol. If you haven’t then let me summarize. He’s a driven, highly intelligent lawyer, who’s kind of disgusted with how many of his friends are settling down with one woman for the rest of their lives when you could have a different woman every night! He has no plans to ever let that happen to him…famous last words, am I right?
Enter Ruby, an NYU law student who catches his eye at the law library in an audible way, lol. Ruby is also driven and busy and has no time for men, period, except her best friend Kevin. The walls around Ruby’s heart are so high you may need a satellite to be able to see the top. If there is one thing Cap is attracted to it’s a challenge, in fact, he can’t remember the last time a woman played hard to get for more than a few hours. But Ruby is a tough nut to crack so Cap enlists the help of his friends to get him in her pants, errr, her heart. Hence forms the billionaire bookclub, garnering some of the funniest scenes of the book!!! Any scene with this group of guys promised the funny and this book was not short on laughs but it also garnered a lot of heart. I honestly wasn’t sure Cap had it in him!
Enjoyed it and I can’t fluffing wait for Lena’s book, yay!!!!
I’ve wanted Caplin’s story since we first met him in The Billionaire Boss Next Door. The ultimate player, I was so ready for him to fall. Oh man. I can wholeheartedly say I was not disappointed. The Billionaire Book Club is my favorite of this second round of billionaires. OMG! It’s so ridiculously funny. Beginning to end, I could not stop giggling. The ladies of Max Monroe have outdone themselves.
Cap and Ruby have amazing chemistry. From the first hilarious meeting to the wooing, to the happily ever after, I could not get enough of their connection. I’m pretty much girl crushing on Ruby. I love her sass, her wit and her ability to stand up to Cap. They are so perfect together.
I’ve never been part of a book club, but if I could choose one to be in, it would 1000% be the Billionaires Book Club. I’d even settle with sitting quietly in the corner and just watching the boys discuss their book. *giggle* I’m obsessed with these guys. It’s nice to see some old favorites. All their interactions and plotting made me fall even harder for each and every one of them.
I love, love, love this book!! If you need a laugh out loud read, I highly, highly, highly recommend The Billionaire Book Club!!
Finally getting the story of Caplin’s life changing! Cap’s life is changed after meeting Ruby Rockford during one of his most difficult workdays. When she doesn’t fall to his feet like all the other women in the world do for him, he sees her as a conquest and a challenge that he hasn’t had while also intrigued as to why. Determined to be with her, he hunts her down and gives her an offer she can’t refuse. After reading and getting bits of Cap’s personality in the previous books, I was so excited to finally get his and see his fall from bachelor-dom. Throughout this story, we really get to know more about Cap and how one girl can change his entire way of thinking and what he is willing to do for someone he loves. I also loved the character of Ruby – where she is determined to make it in life on her own terms and her own way, no matter what. Seeing her drive to make it through law school really shows readers the type of character she is, but also bringing her to a relatable level with the aftermath of Cap’s stupidity. Overall, I enjoyed getting and reading Cap’s story and can’t wait to see who’s next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
