#3 What is your biggest takeaway from the story?
Ruby Rockford and I are meant to be.
I just have to prove it to her.
For the entirety of my adult life, I’ve been content.
Content in my single lifestyle, content in my stressful-but-extremely-successful job as the main corporate counsel for almost every Fortune 500 company in North America, and content in my playful, spontaneous ways.
I had no idea it was possible for someone to change my mind.
The endless women and work are no longer enough, and just as Ruby Rockford told me–it’s about time I grow up.
It’s going to take a strategic attack from more than a couple brilliant minds to win her affection, but luckily, I know exactly where to find the right guys for the job…
The Billionaire Book Club.
It’s safe to say that I, Caplin Hawkins, the man most women would call The Ultimate Player, have finally met my match, and man oh man, has my end game changed.
I’m coming for you, Ruby.
And soon, you’ll be coming for me, too.

When Caplin (Cap) Hawkins meets Ruby Rockford, he has no idea that this player is about to get taken to his knees. What you say? The player being taken down a peg or two (or three)? Yep, because he thought he was loving his single, uncommitted life, never realizing that love was gonna take his ass down. All in the form of a sassy sweetheart who, honestly, I do not know how she put up with his jackass self. Yes, he’s charming, and actually sweet, but he’s a typical player, and I absolutely adored reading how he fell, fell soooo hard.
A playboy being brought to his knees is one of my favorite things to read, and I can’t think of a better duet than Max and Monroe to take this player down. Because they do it with wit and snark, and LOLs all the way through. Let’s not forget how freaking hot Ruby and Cap are, though, because they are – hot, funny, sweet and snarky. I can’t think of a story of these two authors that I’ve read and haven’t loved, and The Billionaire Book Club is no exception!

Before I starting reading this book I knew that it was going to be the icing on the cake that is Max Monroe. I haven’t read the other billionaire series they have written yet (you get to see past characters in this one). I’ve already gotten a few spoilers from the previous books but I personally don’t care about spoilers because I think everything is subjective and Max Monroe always has light-hearted and fun books so I know anytime I read from this duo that there is a HEA on the way. But you don’t want spoilers I suggest that you start with MM’s first billionaire bachelor series and pick up Tapping The Billionaire first.
This is going to be spoiler free, sorry if you wanted otherwise.
Caplin was a interesting man from the start, from way back in previous books, so he didn’t fail me in this one. He’s a playboy of epic proportions. He’s got everything you think one such man would have: he’s rich and a famous corporate lawyer.
He loves his lifestyle.
In his own words, he said he was content with his life. But is he?
So many questions…only one Caplin.
He meets me . . . I mean he meets Ruby. (I wouldn’t mind having a Caplin in my life) He meets her in such a very entertaining yet sensual way. Totally freaking hilarious too. Nope, no one is naked, well not anyone that is “real”.
Ruby is struggling in law school, which means she struggles with other things as well. That other thing might just be Caplin Hawkins, New York’s famed man-slutting bachelor. But I think Lao Tzu said it best when he said “Love is of all passions the strongest, for it attacks simultaneously the head, the heart and the senses.”
But she’s also strong willed and has a beautiful heart. She’s the perfect woman to bring him to his knees.
And that is exactly what Cap does to Ruby, or is it the other way around? Of course, they each till themselves they will not fall. They will not succumb. I found myself loving the way Caplin fell prey to Ruby. The way his ideals on certain aspects of life changed because of Ruby’s influence (like I said beautiful heart). Their chemistry is so perfect, and raw and intense.
The men’s book club (poker game) was hilarious! I believe this is how men do really act when women aren’t around. This is only part of the reason you should buy this book and read it.
The real reason is because of Ruby and Cap… or Rulin as the name I’ve created for their ship. Capby and Rubin and Rublin sounded too weird. Anyway, as I said this is my favorite book so far from Max Monroe. It takes a hell of a lot to become my favorite book, another reason why you should pick this book up!

I’m not going to sugarcoat it, I’m not easing into it, I’m not beating around the bush, I’m just going to own it – I fluffing love Max Monroe. Their books, plain and simple, just make me happy. Creative, imaginative plots, endearing, relatable characters and romances that are as heart-tugging as they are heart-racingly sexy, Max and Monroe deliver the goods every single time. Uproariously hilarious comedy that skims the edge of ridiculous, the humor in their stories is unparalleled. This is the kind of stuff that will have you laughing audibly, snorting out your hilarity for all to hear, so consider yourself warned should you attempt reading their books in public.
I laughed the entire way through this romantic comedy. While The Billionaire Book Club is a complete standalone, if you’ve read The Billionaire Boss Next Door or My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend, you’ve met the insufferably cocky, womanizing playboy, Caplin Hawkins. I’ll be honest, because it isn’t anything the authors haven’t heard before, but I went into this not really liking Cap—not even really wanting to like him. But this guy… he wore me down. He was a blundering, ill-intentioned mess for most of the book for crying out loud! And still—STILL—I wound up loving the guy. That’s the thing, though, it’s exactly these kinds of redemptions that are the sweetest and most rewarding.
Ruby Rockford was her own kind of mess, though, too. Busy, busy, busying herself through life, she seemed to have forgotten not only how to have fun, but to actually follow through and do it. She didn’t know what to make of Cap and his nonsense, and boy, did she ever fight him and their chemistry hard. She gave him a run for his money, and I absolutely loved how she didn’t fawn all over Cap or fall at his feet like every single woman before her. She was precisely the ego-check this maniac needed! For all of Cap’s absurdity, though, he was exactly the breath of life that Ruby needed.
The Billionaire Book Club was classic Max Monroe—a fabulous blend of sweet, sexy romance and side-splitting, laugh-yourself-silly, smiling ear-to-ear humor that readers have come crave this author. An exceptionally well executed, light-hearted pleasure to read, I devoured this book until my abs, cheeks and throat all ached from my laughter. Five smooches from me for The Billionaire Book Club by Max Monroe!

Holy effing swoon! Caplin Hawkins is so flipping charming he gives Kline Brooks a run for his money. WOWZA that man is smooth! The Billionaire Book Club is laugh out loud funny! I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but knew Max Monroe would deliver a book that would have me laughing until the last page. Cap set his sights on Ruby, a beautiful, smart, feisty woman who doesn’t fall for Cap’s charm like most women do. Hence the formation of the “Billionaire Book Club.” I would give anything to have been a fly on the wall when the boys got together to discuss Cap’s book selection for book club. Thatch never disappoints!
The Billionaire Book Club by Max Monroe is my favorite book of theirs to date. It was fun, sexy and so charming with all the best feels. And, the best freaking book club ever! And I mean ever! Caplin Hawkins likes his life just the way it is. He has great friends, a job he loves and the choice of women he wants. Life could not be any better. Enter Ruby Rockford.
It’s been a long time since Cap had to chase any woman, but something about Ruby calls to him. Their attraction was instant and their chemistry explosive. But Ruby knows a man like Cap is trouble. Ruby is smart, beautiful and has a strong determination to meet her goals. She has no time for a man. But a man like Cap is not easily deterred! His best plan? A book club with all his (billionaire) friends reading the books Ruby is reading. What can possibly go wrong?
I have to say I absolutely loved The Billionaire Book Club by Max Monroe. I laughed so much and truly enjoyed every word I read. The friends alone are worth reading this book, but Cap and Ruby have some great back and forth and their journey was sweet, charming and full of the best feels. I great read and one I highly recommend!

Happy reading!
YASSSSS! Cap has finally met his match! I’ve been dying to see who would be the one to capture his attention, and Ruby didn’t disappoint! I loved the chemistry between these two! They seriously steamed up my kindle. Seeing Cap become more vulnerable as he falls for Ruby made me love him more! Plus I loved seeing his buddies again! Such an amazing & hilarious book!
LOVED this book! I was snort-laughing from the dedication to the very end.
Max Monroe has struck rom-com gold again! The Billionaire Book Club is a romance lovers dream.
I really liked Ruby. Smart. Hard working. Kind. Sassy. Immune to Cap’s charms. I loved that when Cap pushed, she pulled back even harder. She wasn’t going to fall for the charming, intelligent and too handsome for his own good billionaire. No way. No how. Not gonna happen ever. But you know what they say about the best laid plans…
Because Caplin was smitten. Something that never happens. He didn’t know what to do, so he turned to his best friends for some help and advice and what was born is the stuff of gut busting laughter. Just picture eight men sitting around discussing romance novels…Now picture Thatch as the ring leader- enough said. The inspiration that Cap drew from his new reads and the lengths he went to in order to woo Ruby and win her affection were and ridiculous. And of course, never worked out quite the way he wanted them to.
I honestly don’t know what was better, all the billionaire’s reading romance or Ruby’s parents. Max Monroe had me in stitches with both. But it was Cap’s final, grand gesture that took the cake. Full of charm, wit and steam, Caplin and Ruby’s story was equal parts hilarious and heartfelt, sweet and steamy; a true joy to read.
NO SPOILERS!
The Billionaire Book Club has hands down been one of Max Monroe’s funniest, most hilarious romantic comedies to date! I feel like I’ve been anticipating Caplin Hawkins’s story forever, and my expectations were high, but Max and Monroe did NOT disappoint. I absolutely loved the storyline and characters in The Billionaire Book Club, as well as Max and Monroe’s signature writing style and motherfluffing awesome sense of humor. These two amazing ladies are the queens, QUEENS I tell you, of romantic comedy, and they have never failed to make me laugh-out-loud with their books. I’ve been shamelessly addicted to everything they’ve written since their first novel, Tapping the Billionaire, and I honestly can’t devour their new releases fast enough. The Billionaire Book Club was one of my favorites from this MUST READ author duo, and I am so freaking excited to read the next standalone romantic comedy in the Billionaire Collection!
The storyline and characters were amazeballs. As stated above, my expectations were high for Cap’s book, and Max and Monroe did not let me down. The plot was so much different than I expected, but even better than I could’ve imagined. With sassy, sarcastic, and fluffing hilarious characters, belly laughing humor, and heart melting, swoon-worthy romance, The Billionaire Book Club was an absolute MUST READ standalone romantic comedy. I fell head over heels in love with Cap, Ruby, and all of their friends and family. I loved, loved, loved seeing so many familiar billionaire faces again, as well as a few new ones. I loved the conclusion to Cap and Ruby’s story, and while I would’ve loved a little more heat and steam between them despite the intense sexual buildup, I couldn’t have been happier for them in the end.
The Billionaire Book Club was a fun, hilarious, sexy, and downright entertaining standalone romantic comedy that you absolutely have to read! Max and Monroe surpassed all of my expectations for Cap and Ruby’s story, and it was by far one of their funniest romcoms to date. I adored everything about The Billionaire Book Club, and can’t wait to devour the next standalone in the Billionaire Collection!
These characters never fail in the entertainment department. There are quite a bit of giggle worthy moments and to me, the best parts were the texts and the book club. Omg that book club with the guys, so awesome. This is also a slow burn book. I’m not a huge fan of the slow burn so I couldn’t wait for the good stuff and it finally did around 74%. So I was all finally! But other than that, Cap and Ruby are the bees knees and I can’t wait for his sisters book!
3.25 stars. The Billionaire Book Club is a fun, light read. This is Cap/Caplin and Ruby’s book. Cap is a playboy and a billionaire lawyer. Ruby is a senior law school student who moonlights as a romance audiobook narrator. When Cap’s trusty assistant goes on maternity leave, he is left floundering. He heads down to the law library to do some research and there he meets Ruby, who is filling in for her friend at the checkout desk. Her audiobook that she is listening to while she works accidentally begins playing a sexy scene out loud. Cap is immediately attracted to and intrigued by Ruby. He pursues her, but she is not impressed by his obvious manwhoreness. So he hires her to fill in for his assistant as a way to get closer to her. There are lots of funny moments but Ruby and Cap finally get together and get their HEA.
This book was entertaining, cute and funny, for the most part. I liked Ruby a lot. She is smart and driven to succeed. Cap is introduced in other books in this series and was a funny side character. But I didn’t totally love him and I didn’t feel like he was anywhere near as likable and endearing as Thatch. So i was a little weary going into his book that he might be annoying. But I did find that I wasn’t as annoyed by him in his own book. I neither loved him or hated him. He is a nice guy and he means well. But he has always been a big manwhore and that is hugely present and overly-harped on in this book. The amount of random women throwing themselves at him is ridiculous, kind of gross, and not cute. (As a side note, why do authors write manwhores with hundreds of women after them, but the heroine doesn’t have anyone that pursues her or seems interested in her?) But Cap is not interested in those women. From the moment he met Ruby he is interested in getting her in bed. He spends most of the book pursuing her with that one thing in mind, thinking he just needed to sleep with her once and get her out of his system. Ruby is resistant and hard to get. This goes on for too long, though. They don’t even kiss until almost the end. The two of them had chemistry at first, but the longer the book went on without anything physical happening, I started to not be able to feel that chemistry any more. By the time they do get together physically, so much has been made of Cap’s manwhoreness that it was all I could think of when he and Ruby are together. It made it feel less special. Because of the slow build up to anything happening, emotionally or physically between the couple, I didn’t have enough time to believe in love between them. They had such a short time when they were together and happy. I never felt like they were in love.
Overall though, if you don’t look too deeply, this was a cute, entertaining read. I enjoyed seeing all of the guys from the world together. Their romance book club was funny. The story was entertaining. I just found the book a little too fluffy and low heat for my personal taste. Still, it was not a bad read. If you are looking for something light-hearted and an easy read, this will be right up your ally. I still am a big fan of Max Monroe and look forward to what ever they come up with next!
Cap has been the man whose book I have been waiting for since he first turned up in an earlier book.
This is the guy who would give motherfluffing Thatch a run for his money.
I was wanting Cap to be as hilarious all through the book as he has been in the previous ones – but to me, he was pretty douchey and a proud manwhore to boot – and a bit stalkerish if I do say.
He does get better though, and in the end you can’t help but adore him.
I love that Ruby doesn’t fall for his crap and straight into his lap. She dishes it out, and doesn’t let him get away with things.
I love, love loved the “Book Club” and the people involved. Of course, my love Thatch is in this story, and he still makes me laugh out loud.
The Billionaire Book Club was a little lighter on the “com” part of the rom-com than I was expecting, however it is still an enjoyable book that I will read again in the future.
Now I am impatiently awaiting the next installment.
The dynamic writing duo has once again whipped up another fabulous couple for me to swoon over.
Cap and Ruby are all that and a bag of chips. Cap our main man is suave, funny, insanely smart and so full of quick wit that it makes your head spin but hold the phone he may have just met his match! Our sparkling Ruby is intuitive, sassy, beautiful and her intelligence makes her so sexy! A run in at the law library and these two are off and running. Cap is in hot pursuit to figure out who this woman that has him so crazy with feelings. Cap finds her and he offers her an intern job at his law firm. This is the beginning of his world being turned upside down. He soon begins to have feelings in his non-committment heart and it throws him for a loop!! Ruby does her best to avoid his charm but she is only human !!!I absoulutely loved their story and was so excited to once again be treated with some of my most favorite cast of characters that surround this couple as their circle !!!!

Caplin Hawkins is the billionaire lawyer that men want to have their backs and women just want. He is the most sought-after attorney for the Fortune 500 set. Cap works hard and plays harder. Not only is he successful, but he’s gorgeous, too. And he knows it. It was in the law library that Cap meets Ruby and his interest is peaked. Especially after getting a load of what she was listening to on her phone. Ruby Rockford is a 3rd year law student, holding down numerous jobs to finish, one of which I know I’d be good at.
Their chemistry is instant. But Ruby has too much on her plate with law school and doesn’t want a player. Cap doesn’t take no for an answer and somehow gets Ruby to intern for him (for credit) while his actual assistant is on maternity leave. Cap continues to pour on the charm, but it isn’t getting him anywhere with Ruby. This is where
Cap turns to his boys for help. He wants to figure out how to get Ruby to sleep with him. This is how Poker Night revolves into being the Billionaire Book Club. What ensues is a whole lot of men reading romances and offering Cap advice, some spot on and some coming from left field. But they all mean well…
I have been waiting for this book and boy, Max Monroe did not disappoint. Not only did we get an amazing story, but they brought back all of the characters that we have loved over the years, including Kline, Wes and Thatch. I can just imagine actual men’s Book Clubs sprouting up around the country, helping a “helpless” man with his women woes. It would be fluffing magical!

CAP IS HERE! Stop whatever you’re doing and READ THIS BOOK!
It feels like we’ve waited decades for Cap to get his own book!
He’s the best thing since Thatch! PLUS Thatch is in here too – a lot! And Kline and Wes …
#BestBookEver
Ok – enough Capgirling.
The story.
We have Cap – a rich and famous corporate lawyer. He loves life. He loves his job. He loves women. But he’s so far away from thinking about a happily ever after.
But then Ruby enters his life. In a rather pornographic way. No one is naked – and we’re in a library at the time! But still verrry erotic and LOL!
Ruby is struggling through life with a job she loves and finishing law school. And then this hot and cocky guy comes along and she just knows she’ll fall for him. Biggest mistake of her life, right? He’s New York’s most famous manwhore-bachelor-player!!! But the heart wants what the heart wants. And it wants Cap. But he’s not ready for love, right? No way Ho-say!
I just adored this story!
It was so hilarious and adorable and it had lots of Thatch in it again. How can you not love such a book!?
(P.S. should you not know who Thatch is – you’ve obviously been asleep these last few years and need to hurry to amazon and get started with Max Monroe’s first amazing Billionaire Bad Boy series: Tapping the Billionaire!)
I loved Cap and Ruby! They’re perfect for each other!
I kind of see them as a married lawyer couple in an office in a little town in Upstate New York – two point five kids and a dog!
But it’s a long way until we might get there!
Ruby will not let herself fall for his charms!
And anyway – Cap doesn’t want anything serious! Yeah! Poor guy!
I adored the poker/book club meeting of our favorite boys! Hilarious!
This was such an adorable and hilarious Rom-Com!
I need to see this series on Netflix one day!
THE BILLIONAIRE BOOK CLUB was such an adorable & funny New-York-Lawyer Rom-Com! Hurry to your nearest amazon for your own Cap – he’ll be sold out in no time!
I absolutely adored Cap and Ruby. How can a clueless man be such a turn-on??? I mean seriously…he went well and beyond to have her only to let his fears get in the way.
I loved Ruby and how she didn’t take crap from anyone but most of all from him. It was so much fun seeing him falling hard without even realizing it. And we have to talk about grand gesture…holy shit that was special- it was the PERFECT thing for their crazy relationship.
This series has become such a phenomenal read..I can’t remember when was the last time I LOLed this much. I’m sure my kids think I’m crazy by now sitting here laughing by myself. With that said I can’t wait to read about how much fun Lena will have in finding her HEA with Cap being in the way

Caplin is THE lawyer of billionaires, but his normally devil may care attitude flies out the window when his assistant goes on maternity leave and the temp agency sends a woman who is sitting taking selfies of her boobs instead of working. Which is why he is running to the Law Library to research much needed case files for an important meeting tomorrow.
Ruby is covering for her best friend at his job at the Law Library when a gorgeous man is trying to get her attention. As she yanks out her earbuds she is mortified when she can still hear the very erotic audiobook coming from her phone. As she unsuccessfully tries to close the app she realizes that Gorgeous Man is also hearing the book. KILL.ME.NOW!
I love Trent and Milo, but Caplin is my new favorite book boyfriend and the reason I will devour anything the Max Monroe duo write! I feel Ruby’s mortification and if you look up “cocky” in the dictionary you will find “Caplin”.
I can truly say that I didn’t see the book club coming! To be a fly on the wall. I can so see the expression on their faces as they discuss the books and Google information. The crazy moms and even crazier phone calls. Ruby will never have to worry about spam callers.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough!!! Do not read these books in public due to uncontrollable laughter.
Funny book.
Gah, I LOVE CAP!!!! The Billionaire Book Club is probably my favorite so far of this amazing series. There’s no one quite like Caplin Hawkins and he’s front and center in this laugh-out-loud rom-com by the dynamic duo of Max Monroe. The story is a complete standalone so no prior reading is necessary to enjoy the magic of Cap and his adorable Ruby.
Cap is one-of-a-kind and I couldn’t get enough of him. He’s arrogant, cocky, brilliant, hilarious and super sexy. A total manwhore, he’s worked his way through half of Manhattan and now he has his sights set on Ruby a sweet, law student unprepared for the likes of Cap. Ruby is whip-smart, fun and snarky and when she goes toe-to-toe with Cap it’s a thing of beauty. I love their witty dialogue! The sexual tension is high with these two but their love story burns slowly, heating up throughout until they finally give in to one another. And, in true Cap fashion, he epically screws it up. But of course they eventually find their happily ever after in the perfect way.
I loved all of Cap’s Billionaire friends and the book club they form is what legends are made up. It is HILAROUS!!! No joke, I laughed out loud repeatedly throughout the story. Max Monroe, keep churning out these books because you most certainly have made a huge fan out of me! 5 stars
Max Monroe writes funny over the top book about alpha-males and strong women that show the commitment phobic men who’s really the boss! And with book 3 of the Billionaire Collection, they do it again.
We met Caplin Hawkins before in their previous books. He is a tough as nails man-whore lawyer. I wondered how they would write his story. Well, I think they did a great job. He meets Ruby while out doing what his assistant should have done. But after meeting Ruby, Cap didn’t care. She blindsided him by not falling at his feet like every other woman has done when they meet him. She basically ignores him.
We see Cap’s softer side as he tries everything to get her to even like him. He gets all his friends (who we have meet in Max Monroe’s previous books.) and they start a Book Club so they can work through his problem of getting her to like (have sex) with him.
It is a funny and touching book. I like the guys banter with each other and I loved seeing Cap’s softer side. Another great read!
