Some things are easily forgiven. Other things… not so much.Lenny DeMaio made herself a promise: she was done.Done thinking about him.Done worrying about him.Done reaching out to a man who clearly didn’t want to be found. Too bad no one gave Jonah Collins the memo.
My gosh, this book!!! I loved it! Everything about it! (Well there was one tiny thing I didn’t enjoy but I’ll get to that at the end).
In MZ’s previous book, her hero was a HUGE asshole. While I liked the book, loved the ending, loved the heroine, I hated the asshole hero.
In this book, her hero is AMAZING! He’s sweet, kind, understanding, generous, loving and careful of others but also confidant and willing to stand up for his loved ones. He doesn’t take crap from people. Jonah was literally THE BEST.
I loved the heroine as well. She was all those other things with a bit more sass thrown in. My only issue was how much she swore. I don’t like foul language, I especially dislike the F word, and Lenny used it a ton, in her brain and out loud. I just don’t see it being necessary and it took away from Lenny’s character a little bit.
I don’t want to give away anything that isn’t in the blurb, so I won’t say anymore. Just that if you love MZ, then I think you’ll love this book too!
I think I’m going to have to take a break from this author’s books. **sigh** Kulti and Wait for It are some of my favorite stories but her latest works just don’t do it for me. So much repetition and useless info that should have been edited out. And the continued use of a description instead of a person’s name (i.e. the biggest guy or the father of my girl) really got on my nerves. Plus I felt like I was reading this for weeks and it was only 2 days.
Probably my favorite book by one of my favorite authors…..sweet..funny…romantic…great characters….
