“In The Best of You, Sophie-Leigh Robbins delivers a thoroughly charming and sweet romance with engaging characters you’ll find yourself rooting for.” – Kate O’Keeffe, bestselling author of One Last First DateThey may be faking their relationship, but they can’t fake the sparks that fly when they’re together.Desperate to get away from her cheating ex, travel vlogger Holly books a last-minute … travel vlogger Holly books a last-minute cruise to the Caribbean. So what if the only available packages left are part of a singles cruise? It’s not like the crew members can force her to join any of the activities. The further away she can stay from love, the better.
But then she meets Noah, a gorgeous guy who got dumped on his wedding day. He moped around for months until his father booked a cruise and insisted on Noah joining him. Good for Holly, because misery loves company, right?
Well, maybe not misery. Having Noah around completely changes her plans. He even pretends to be her boyfriend to dodge unwanted advances from some very questionable people.
There’s only one tiny problem. Holly didn’t go on this cruise to see if there were other fish in the sea, and getting herself a fake boyfriend was definitely not on the itinerary either.
Instead of choosing which cocktail she’ll be sipping by the pool, she now has a completely different choice to make. Risk getting her heart broken or abandon ship.
The Best of You is book eight in the Oceanic Dreams series. This feel-good romantic comedy can be read as a standalone and makes for the perfect beach read. It’s filled with laugh-out-loud and swoon-worthy moments.

Quick fun read. Holly is a vlogger who specializes in traveling by yourself to out of the way places. She has decided to go on The Oceanic to see what cruising is all about. Noah on the other hand wants to be alone but he has his father along. Love the dad by the way. Holly and Noah hit it off. They like being friends. They like to explore and talk with each other. Perfect for two people coming out of bad relationships. Yet Georgia, a passenger, sees it differently. She sees love and she tells Holly to declare your love. I love how the book ends!
I am thoroughly enjoying this series. I believe that this book is the best book so far. I enjoyed reading to the very end of how life had continued after the cruise. Readers of this series will enjoy every page.

I love this installment of the Oceanic Dreams series. It’s funny and romantic!
This is the last book in The Oceanic Dreams series. It is hard to say but I think this one might be my favorite!
The author artfully crafts a tale of two imperfect people falling in love. Holly is a travel vlogger who just got majorly dumped by her fiance. She books this cruise to get away and hopefully grow her vlog. Noah brought his dad aboard so that he could find love. I just love the meet cute of how Holly and Noah met. It is sweet and perfect for a vlogger. Their chemistry is spot on throughout the whole trip. It makes the reader feel happy and satisfied like all is right in the world.
The secondary characters are to die for. Noah’s dad is hilarious. George and Georgia are so cute and full of wisdom. She did a great job making the other man, Logan, nerdy. I felt so bad for him. I hope he found his own love.
The Oceanic Dreams series all took place on the same cruise ship at the same time. Throughout the books, you would catch glimpses of the other characters. This was such a cool idea and I absolutely fell in love with Sophie’s writing. I can’t wait to try another.
Thank you to the author for her book. This is my honest opinion. You can find this book on Kindle Unlimited.
Holly found her fiancé in her bed with another woman and then he kicks her out of their apartment. She decides on a curse. She travels a lot and is a blogger. If she gets a million followers she will get a sponsor so no more odd jobs. She begins her video stream and is interrupted but a handsome man, Noah, who seems down. She takes it into her hands to make it a better day for him. One thing leads to another through a series of mishaps and they end up pretending to be in love. But are they really pretending?
This is a wonderful light-hearted romantic comedy sure to fill the expectations of romance lovers. The characters simply pop off the page and are so personable you want them to be happy. The dialogue is witty, funny at times and heartwarming at others. The narrative is especially well written describing the scenery, the awkward and funny situations and the emotional rollercoaster the characters go on. They need to let go of past problems and really focus on what they want or they won’t find happiness together. This book is easy to read and I read it in one sitting. I just had to know what happens. If you like cozy romances then you will enjoy this one.

Can being a fake boyfriend/girlfriend mend their broken hearts?
The Best of You by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is a superbly written tale of new friends, love and experiencing life to its fullest at the moment. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone; you never know who may be waiting there to find you. Ms. Robbins puts the com in a romcom with this one.
Holly
Holly is on this cruise as a travel vlogger, and to get away from her cheating ex-fiancé. You know to figure out what to do next. Holly is short and sweet. She tries to give everyone a chance. Holly also makes friends easier than she thinks. However, usually cruise ships aren’t her usual form of travel, and this is her first one.
I like that Holly is willing to take chances, listens to everyone, and has a heart of gold. That being said, she seems to get into trouble very easily. It is like she is this crazy magnet of the strangest things.
Noah
Noah is on the Oceanic Aphrodite to help his Dad find love again. He knows that his mom wouldn’t want his Dad to be lonely now that she is gone. But Robert, that’s Noah’s Dad, didn’t want to come alone, so, here they are taking a singles cruise together.
Noah also has some baggage that he needs to figure out. And he has some big life decisions to make once he gets back from this cruise.
I like Noah’s sense of humor, the way he comes to Holly’s rescue and his ability to put people at ease. The only thing that I didn’t like was that he played things close to his chest, not sharing them with Holly unless she asked.
Love Story
This story is super adorable, with so many funny scenes. I was rooting for Holly and Noah from the moment he commented on her video. Noah and Holly’s love bloomed slowly and yet everyone but them could see it. I think my favorite part was their adventure with the stingrays and that first kiss. So, swoon-worthy.
The supporting cast is also crazy fun. Robert and his life vest, George and Georgia, the newlywed seniors and Trina. Oh, and the Star Trek loving Logan, such a bunch of characters.
4 Stars for The Best of You by Sophie-Leigh Robbins
My rating for The Best of You by Sophie-Leigh Robbins is four stars. This story is an amazing end to a terrific series. I hope that Holly and Noah have many happy years together. Ms. Robbins writes an incredible journey from strangers to friends to lovers. I recommend The Best of You and the other Oceanic Dreams novellas.

The Best of You is Book 8 in the Oceanic Dreams series. Each book in the series can easily be read as a standalone but I’d recommend adding the whole series to your tbr as they are such fun, gorgeously romantic stories that’ll keep you in the holiday mood for much longer than your summer vacation.
This is my first introduction to the work of Sophie-Leigh Robbins and the story flowed effortlessly, it was written with a great mix of characters blending well together creating a perfect rom-com.
The Best of You is the story of travel vlogger Holly who for the first time in her life is experiencing all that holidaying on a cruise ship offers. She’s just broken up from a long-term relationship so the cruise is a perfect place to reassess her life.
Noel is a fellow traveller on the cruise ship and is also feeling a little delicate after his recent break-up. Bumping into Holly on deck a friendship is formed but when unwelcome attention is targeted to Holly the friends form a ‘fake relationship’ to make life easier on board ship for Holly.
Holly and Noel are having fun at playing a couple but when emotions are tested will the pair be able to part as friends at the end of the holiday?
Fabulous fun in the sun with a great myriad of characters and a gorgeous dose of love.
A great little read that I truly enjoyed! Great for sitting by the pool & reading!
Holly’s fiance kicked her out to move his new girlfriend in, so she’s temporarily homeless. She’s a travel vlogger, so she takes a singles cruise. And meets Noah. Noah’s fiancee left him, and he’s not interested in moving forward just yet. But he takes his widowed father on the same singles cruise. And meets Holly. He volunteers to be her fake boyfriend so Logan (boring Trekkie) will leave her alone. Everyone else in their little circle sees that they are perfect for each other, and so in love. But they don’t see it. I loved this – such a cute story. The characters were funny and sometimes quirky, they met some terrific friends on the cruise.

This was my first time reading this author and I couldn’t read fast enough!!! Her characters chemistry and plot building were off the charts. It takes place on a cruise where Noah and Holly meet. Noah being the protective male, to protect her from the not so great slime balls on the cruise, they come up with their pretend relationship. There’s drama, humor, romance, love and some laugh out loud moments. It was a joy to read and I think you will enjoy it to so grab your copy to fins out if they get their HEA! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

I really enjoyed The Best of You! It is a fun, entertaining book. I love the characters. They are likeable and relatable. This is such a sweet romance and Holly and Noah have great chemistry together. The book is well written and I like the writing style. I love the cruise ship setting and all the fun excursions. The book is so fun, romantic and humorous. I highly recommend this book!
This is the first book I read by this author, and I am so glad that I did. This book was a super fun and easy read.
There were a lot of things I enjoyed in this book, one of the main things though was a strong female lead. I loved that the main character, Holly, was independent and strong, but also funny, kind-hearted, and romantic. I also liked Noah, the other main character of the story, because he was perfectly written. He was sincere and genuine as well as protective and caring. I loved the other cast of characters as well, as they were all believable, likable, and funny (even if they weren’t trying, Robert).
I felt this story was engaging and well written. There was a wonderful mix of humor, drama, and love and I would recommend it to anyone.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I love to read more by this author.
