It wasn’t hard for Nona Fanning to fall for Trick. He was strong, kind-hearted, loyal, and unbelievably handsome. This is the third book in the series. If you haven’t read this series you are truly missing out. This one gets you right in the heart. The emotions can be felt pouring off the pages. I was waiting for Nona to get her story. I’ve loved her from the beginning. I felt for her because she’s just ran into some bad luck when it comes to relationships, but Trick gets his head on straight. Trick and Nona have a ton of chemistry. I loved watching Trick work for Nona because he needs to see what’s right in front of him. There also is the blending families and I have to say I’m super happy with the way Jessica Prince wrote it. She’s creates such great engaging characters that pull you right into the book. This book had me laughing quite often, but there were sit on the edge of your seat moments as well. This book also delivers on the feels, I loved the set up for the next book and I really can’t wait for it.I highly recommend reading this series! You will not be disappointed.
This is my favorite of the whole series so far. I think it was Trick that did it for me. To have an alpha male so loving and sweet really made me love him and this story that much more.
I received a review copy of the book before release for an honest review.
So this is an awesome book I know I love everything Jessica Prince writes and yes I know I have loved every book in this series. But this one was really different than I have read before from the author and well I fell hard for absolutely every character in this story.
This is the story of Nona who was best friends with the heroine in the first book. She is seen in all of the books but the first book we really get to know her. Nona is a single mom and two awesome teens. She also runs a beauty parlor and has an ass of an ex.
Trick is also a character that has been seen before and he is married to an ex from hell, Emma who had the man of her dreams and threw him away because he was a cop and didn’t make a lot of money. He also has two teens and in fact the son is best friends with Nona’s son.
Well guess who has a one night stand and Trick does not do well with it and I loved how Nona ghosts him after until and that’s when this book gets very fun. Sorry I am not spoiling it.
This book was wonderful and the kids really made it that great. Both sets of teens are pretty awesome and I would love to read about them in another series.
I have loved Nona from the moment I met her in the first Hope Valley book, Out of My League. My girl crush grew even more with this book. She is a strong, admirable heroine who deserved her own HEA. I’m really glad she found it with Trick. I must say that I didn’t start out liking Trick very much. I couldn’t understand his tunnel vision regarding his ex-wife. But, that’s reality. It’s the kind of thing that makes me want to throttle a character in a book, but it’s absolutely the way things work in real life. Luckily, Trick snaps out of it pretty quickly and then redeems himself in adorable fashion, never to waver. I must say that I was very reluctant to even keep reading this one because I just knew it would be wrought with ex drama, which I can’t stand. My love of Ms. Prince’s books kept me going, however, and I am delighted to say that Trick and Nona both rose above any ex-spouse drama that tried to rear its ugly head; I was cheering them both. I’m so glad the author didn’t let that drama be the conflict of the story; no, this story’s drama is of a different kind–a kind that will keep you furiously flipping pages once it takes off. I’m truly loving this series and can’t wait for the next one!
