Niki Hamilton had her hopes pinned on moving to Europe with her boyfriend. But then he dumped her. By text message. Just before her sister’s wedding. Left dateless in a flamingo-pink monstrosity of a bridesmaid dress, she decides to drown her sorrows in a glass of tall, dark, and handsome. Firefighter Grant Powers has been burned by love, but when his best friend’s new sister-in-law falls into … falls into his arms–and stays there for one sexy night–he enjoys the experience a little too much. Then a rental snafu leaves Niki temporarily homeless. So, gentleman and masochist that he is, Grant offers his spare bedroom. Despite the smoldering sexual tension between them, starting anything would be playing with fire.
Now, they just have to survive living together for a few weeks…

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. I absolutely adored Grant! What a beautiful, wonderful, charming, and sexy firefighting man! Niki is a fierce little spitfire who needs more confidence in herself and her abilities, but otherwise rocks. Niki and Grant enjoy one amazing night together with no strings after her sister’s wedding after she is unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend via text. The next day, she finds that Grant is now her short-term roommate. Can they fight their attraction, even as they chase completely different goals? The story evolves with just enough tension and twists to keep you on you toes and guessing. Great characters and storyline, and Grant’s backstory is simply heartbreaking. You just can keep but fall in love with this misplaced country boy!
Sweet fun!
This is an entertaining story on the sweet side, but sure to warm your heart. I liked the relationship between Grant and Niki, especially the knight-in-shining-armor streak of Grant. It was easy to fall for the man. The angst and tension keep your riveted and the ending is satisfying. A very interesting and fun read.
Niki Hamilton thought she finally had things going her way and then her boyfriend dumps her just before her sister Lucy’s wedding. Then she finds out she’s losing the place where she is living. What else can happen and what is a women to do? Well she’s offered the opportunity to roommate with the grooms best man, Grant Powers, who happens to be a gorgeous firefighter. He’s recently divorced and is putting his house up for sale but she would have a place to stay for a couple of months until she can afford to get her own. They are both sexually attracted to each other and since they are not looking for a permanent relationship, what could a one night stand hurt. Hmmm~~~~
What a great love story with great characters which also includes Sarge, the cat! A must read and I highly recommend
Totally captivated and absolutely enjoyed the true to life characters and a storyline that I could relate to…. Niki Hamilton received a break up text while at her sisters wedding.. so what does she do? She spends one, off the charts amazing night with Grant Powers, the best man… that’s the end of it, or so they thought.
This is really their story. Lots of funny moments, tons of temptation, soul searching, and a fat orange cat named Sarge….
I do recommend this to anyone who enjoys a great love story.
First off I want to say this book kept me mesmerized. The electricity between this couple was mind blowing.
A night that was to be only one night turns into so much more for Niki and Grant.
Between broken hearts, a divorce, a new job prospect, aging parents, a trip to London how in the world will this couple who didn’t want a relationship manage?
Does Niki stand a chance at getting what she wants?
Well grab your copy and find out.
The Best Man’s Proposal is a fantastic book to read!!! I absolutely could not stop reading it once I started. Niki and Grant’s story made me laugh, sigh, and feel so many different emotions throughout the reading of this book. I LOVED it!!
This is definitely a book that I will be re-reading and will gladly recommend to others!
