Life regret number one: Moving into an apartment where all I hear are the moans coming from my downstairs neighbor’s apartment. It’s pretty obvious what’s happening behind those doors, which is even more frustrating when you aren’t getting any action yourself. To make matters worse, I got fired from my job, and my savings account is pathetic. That means I can’t eat my body weight in donuts, even … donuts, even if I wanted to…and I really want to. Thanks to my sister, though, I have a new work opportunity lined up, and I promised myself I wouldn’t do anything to lose this one. Until I realize my new boss, Logan, is none other than my sex god of a neighbor.
Keeping my ever-growing attraction to him in check proves to be a lot harder than I thought, especially with my knowledge of his extracurricular activities. When my new job as his photography assistant keeps throwing us together–sometimes completely eliminating our personal space–I find it more and more difficult to remember why I’m supposed to stay away from him.
Hi, I’m Ember Keaton, and I suck at adulting.
The Best Kind Of Mistake is a fun, sweet, and romantic standalone novella with a HEA.

First book by Jasmin Miller and it was ohh so good. If you are looking for a fast, light, funny read with a whole lot of steamy sexual tension then you need to read this book. I loved Ember and Logan’s story. I can’t wait for book 2 now.
Oh my, I loved this book. Ember moves into a new apartment, which soon she finds out her neighbor is a basically a sex god. Not only does she hear him constantly, but her sister gets her job and when Ember goes to this job, she is going to have Logan her hot neighbor as her boss. Seriously, what could go happen between these two. I didn’t see it coming but it was quite the twist. Thanks Jasmin, I really loved this from beginning to end.
It had me laughing from the beginning!! I loved this book so much!! It was a cute story!! I fell in love with all of the characters!! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a cute, short and funny read!!

Review The Best Kind of Mistake was a charming novella. Jasmin Miller gives us a great story with adorable characters that will make any romance reader swoon.
When I first read the blurb, I was excited because and then I started reading the novella. There was so much more to the story that I didn’t see coming but thought “wow this author is clever and I can’t wait for everyone to read.”.
Ember Keaton is so relatable, funny, and witty. I loved her character. When we meet her, she is about to begin a new job as a photography assistant. She, like most of us, isn’t that great at adulting.
She is late to her first day of work and it’s all because of her neighbor…he’s having too much loud sex. Does Ember sound a little bitter? She may be, but that’s only because she isn’t getting any.
When she walks into work, she finds out her new boss is none other than her neighbor. AWKWARD.
Logan is sweet and charming. He is an amazing photographer that gets to travel around the world. He is instantly attracted to Ember but he won’t be crossing that line.
As time goes on, they both have to decide if their feelings are real and if their relationship would affect their business.
I give The Best Kind of Mistake 4.5 stars. It was a sweet and witty novella that can be finished in one sitting. There are a few twists and turns that made me smile so wide with excitement because I knew it they were key to making this story great! The Best Kind Of Mistake: A Workplace Romantic Comedy Jasmin Miller
Oh my goodness! I thought to myself when I met my new employer who was having her son take over her buisness while she was off having surgery. After being fired from my last job and with the help of my sister I found a job I could love, but my new boss is actually my downstairs neighbor who’s extra circular activies has been keeping me up nights or is he. This was a sweet read with some fun surprises along the way, really enjoyed this lighthearted fast read, can’t wait to read another by this author
Short and spicy novella that I couldn’t put down. I enjoyed Ember and Logan’s story. The characters were fun and realistic. The case of mistaken identity was so funny and I can’t wait to get Aiden’s story.
The Best Kind of Mistake is the first novella in this series. I read both novellas back to back, so my experience was great! Also, this is a spoiler free review.
Ember, our heroine, is the kind of person that I would most likely hang out with in real life. She reminded me a lot of my best friend, loud and funny. She has a unlikely incident with a job and her sister is able to nab a job with a prominent photographer.
What happens next is really funny, and had me scratching my head until the twist happened. Confused? Yeah, so was I, but to know exactly what I am talking about I would suggest you buy the book and find out.
Anyhoo, when she meets her unlikely new boss things begin to get tricky for everyone involved. Because Ember is a quick thinker and Logan is a passionate person, these two have too much chemistry that they can’t deny their feelings, despite their “working relationship”. It was great to see them struggle a little with this.
The road to getting there is pretty funny in this quick novella. I do recommend this book!
Ember’s new job is working as an assistant for photographer Logan. She’s less than thrilled when she meets Logan for the first time & recognizes him as the loud, sex-marathon man in the apartment below hers. But looks can be deceiving & Ember falls for Logan pretty quick. This was a cute, short read about falling for someone when you least expect it. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
I loved it! So so so much! It was sweet and fun and sexy I finished the novella in like two hours and I enjoyed it so much!
I can’t wait to read more from Jasmin

This is the first in a series and I will definitely read the next book to come.u2063
This sweet romance between Logan and Ember started with mistaken identity. Ember was attracted to Logan despite her inner warning that he would be bad news for her.
I liked the way the author had Logan’s identity play out at the end. It took out the ick factor completely which I appreciated.
The romance between this sweet couple was upbeat and entertaining. I liked that Logan was focused on Ember from start to finish.

Enjoyable Read

I really enjoyed reading this story. The characters were well developed and easy to like and the plot was believable. I found myself laughing out loud at Logan’s and Ember’s predicaments and I can’t wait to read more about his brother. The story had just enough steamy sex without going overboard. I do wish there had been more to their story. It just seemed to end all of a sudden. But if you are looking for a good romantic read with just enough heat to make it interesting, this is the one.
This book has so many of the things I love in a good book!
Boss/assistant
Neighbors
Famous guy meets normal girl.
The author did a really good job with this book even if it is a short book with 102 pages. I didn’t feel like it was rushed or jumped around in the book, it was a funny, easy read. Short romance books often end up with me being a little annoyed because I feel like I missed all the good, easy, normal stuff with the couple but not this book.
Ember is a sweet normal girl who just lost her job because she dyed her hair pink. Her sister gets her a job as a wedding photographers assistant but not everything is as it seems when she gets to her new job.
In comes Logan, the guy that is her neighbor the guy who keeps her awake at night with his one night stands, the guy who is her new boss. Logan is such an amazing guy, he is down to earth, loving and so sexy! He is everything you don’t expect her neighbor to be (well other than hot). They slowly start getting to know each other and their chemistry only grows hotter and bigger with time.
So are you looking for a quick but sweet love story with some twist you really didn’t see coming! Then this is your book. It is the perfect book to read if you just don’t want they heavy angst or the huge emotional mess.
I give this novella 4,5 stars.
It is a very sweet and heartwarming romance about a photographer and his assistant.
Ember is a free spirited woman who just got fired from her job for coloring her hair pink. Her sister gets her a job at a portrait and wedding photoshop as an assistant to Logan, a fashion photographer who also turns out to be her very noisy neighbor. They become friends and the friendship turns slowly into more, but what will happen to their relationship when Logan has to return to his world travels as a photographer? Can they make it work?
I really liked Logan and Embers dynamic together, and you can’t help but fall for both of them.
The assistant job and Logan and his mother teaching Ember about photography, helps her to figure out what she wants out of life. And Ember helps Logan find his joy in his work again.
They just fit so well together and their families makes a very funny entry to their lives.
I can definitely recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book and binge read it one go. The story was fun and engaging and I really loved both characters. Both Logan and Ember were likable characters with believable chemistry. The best thing about this story was It was a fun and refreshing read without the nuisances of unwanted drama and villainous characters.
The story was so refreshing and at the same time engaging from the get go. I started late last night and was up until 2 am so I could finish it. Once I started reading this book I didn’t want to leave it , I was enjoying it so much.
As they say – “Good Things Come in small packages. “ This was short but such a satisfying read and I honestly was hoping I could get more of Logan and Ember.
This is the first time I’ve read a book by Jasmine, It won’t be the last and I am so glad to have discovered her. I can’t wait to read Aiden’s story and more books by this author. Highly recommend this book. If you want to take a break from daily grind and stress than do yourself a favor read this book to complete relax you and give you good feel .
The Best Kind of Mistake was such a fun read! It’s a total standalone and such a quick and swoony read there’s really no reason not to jump in. (Side note: it’s on Kindle Unlimited, so you can read for free if you’re a subscriber!) I think I knocked this one out in about an hour, and I had a huge cheesy grin on my face the entire time.
Ember and Logan were just too cute for words. I adored these two together. Their banter and chemistry was SO GOOD. They were both totally likable and super easy to root for. I was on board from the start. (Or shortly after, once Ember learned Logan wasn’t exactly who she thought he was.) These two gave me all the swoons, smiles and sexy times I want in a romance. I can tell you, I’m already anxiously awaiting The Best Kind of Surprise. Aiden was a great secondary character and I can’t wait to see him get tamed.
If you’re in the mood for a quick and uncomplicated romance to put a big smile on your face, look no further. The Best Kind of Mistake is exactly what you need.

Oh my gosh this is the most adorable novella in the history of ever! The Best Kind Of Mistake is sweet, funny, and has the perfect dash of heat! I seriously think I smiled from the first page to the last.
